GIBBS, WALTER, Age 71. Of Grosse Pointe Farms. May 22, 1998. A U.S. Marine Corp. veteran of the Korean Conflict and a graduate of the University of Michigan and Wayne State University Law School. He was an Assistant Prosecutor in the Wayne County Prosecutor s Office for 33 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Grosse Pointe Club, the Founders Society of the DIA and the Tennis House. He is survived by his close friend Jean Doelle. A gathering in his memory will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, June 7, 1998 at the Grosse Pointe Club, 6 Berkshire Place in Grosse Pointe Farms.
