HUFFMASTER, RAYMOND R. August 26, 2000. Age 75, of Port Huron but formerly of Dearborn. Ray died in Port Huron Hospital of cancer. He was raised in the Port Huron area but spent most of his life living in Dearborn until returning to Port Huron in 1990. The first part of his working career was spent in public law enforcement; however, he spent over 40 years in private investigatory work, founding Huffmaster Detective Agency in Dearborn, Michigan. Presently the firm is national in scope and is known as Huffmaster Associates with corporate headquarters in Troy, Michigan. Ray is a member of the Michigan Chiefs of Police Assoc., Southeastern Michigan Chiefs of Police Assoc., Wayne County Detectives Assoc., Port Huron Rotary Club and St. Mary Church, Port Huron. His interests include scuba diving, piloting airplanes, archeology, and he was a talented artist in oil painting. He is survived by his wife, Joan; a daughter, Helen Kearns (Arthur) Wiard of Bloomfield Hills; a son, Raymond E. (Kimber) Huffmaster of Rochester Hills; grandchildren: Raymond M., Ryan D. and Robert J. Huffmaster of Rochester Hills, Riley Kearns and Jason and Sharon Wiard of Bloomfield Hills; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2000 at St. Mary Church, 1505 Ballentine St. (W. of 10th Avenue), Port Huron. KOPCZYNSKI, DOLORES THERESA Died August 23, 2000 after a determined and heroic four year battle with cancer. Born February 24, 1936 to the late Joseph and the late Anna Demski of Hamtramck. She was a loving and devoted mother, wife, sister and friend. Retiring from the Manufacturer s National Bank after more than 20 years of service, she recently marked her seventh year as a member of the service staff at Bob Thibodeau Ford. Her loss is deeply felt by her daughter Debra, husband Arthur, sister Shirley Demski and many warm and supportive friends and colleagues. In accordance with her wishes, Dolores passed from this world in her own home, in the warm and loving presence of her family as well as her much loved canine companion Persephone.
