EBLING, SARAH KAREN Was born March 10, 1920 in Newton, Massachusetts. She was born to Lydia Sherman Warberg and Sofus Warberg. Her brothers were Henrik and Evind Warberg. Karen was a 50 yr. member, former Regent and State Representative of the Col. Joshua Howard Chapter of the D.A.R. She was also a member of the Dearborn Historical Museum, Dearborn Herb Study Association, the General Henry Dearborn Quilting Society, the Dearborn Genealogical Society, the National Society of New England Women and the Michigan Society of Dames of the Court of Honor. Karen was always proud of her ancestry, dating back to John Alden (an original colonist) and William Sherman (a signer of the Declaration of Independence). Her grandfather, Franciscus Morton Sherman, a graduate of Harvard Medical Schools, was a well known horse and buggy doctor and surgeon in Massachusetts. She always told fond stories of how her grandfather delivered her. Karen is survived be her husband, Donald Clemett Ebling, her three sons, Donald (Valerie), James (Vanessa) and Robert, and her grand daughters, Lauren and Lindsey.
