He was born January 01, 1925 in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of Joseph & Josephine (Jastrzemska) Dunayczan. Survivors include one daughter, Joann (Michael) McDaniel, two sons Michael (Ann) Dunayczan, Walter S. Dunayczan Jr., four sisters, Jean (Eddie) Wenderski, Helen (Cass) Ostrowski, Stella Golka and Frances Korgal, one brother, John (Jean) Dunayczan, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Dunayczan, one sister, Sophie Gorney and two brothers, Edward and Joseph. In state at St. Stephens Catholic Church in New Boston from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 19, 1999. The family will receive friends at PAWLUS FUNERAL HOME, in Belleville from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm Tuesday, May 18, 1999. Interment at Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock, MI.
