DOOLEY, SISTER HONORA Age 93. Of Nazareth. passed away November 5, 2000 at Fontbonne Manor. Sister Honora was born October 21, 1907 in Freeport, Michigan, the daughter of Andrew and Nora (Bruton) Dooley. Sister Honora received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Nazareth College and then her Masters of Social Work from Wayne State University. She was the Director for the Department of Social Services at St. Francis Home in Detroit, and later the Director of Resource Development. In 1992, she retired to Fontbonne Manor. Sister Honora is survived by her sister, Margaret Novokoski of Grand Rapids and several nieces and nephews; and the Congregation of Sisters of St. Joseph. Friends will be received at the Nazareth Center Tuesday after 2 p.m. where a Wake Service will be held in the evening at 7 p.m.. Final viewing will be Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. in the Holy Family Chapel, where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Fr. Michael Howell, Celebrant. Interment in Gate of Heaven cemetery, Nazareth. Memorials may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph, P.O. Box 210, Nazareth, MI 49074. Arrangements by REDMOND Funeral Home, Westnedge at Kalamazoo.
