Mary Lou Joly

Funeral services for Mary Lou Joly, 76, of Maple Grove are Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel.

Interment was Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Mrs. Joly is survived by her husband, Clarence; sons, Barry (Linda), Keith (Jean), Dennis (Lisa), and Eric; grandchildren, Richard, Jennifer, Kurt, and Jessica; great-grandson, Austin; and sister, Barbara Kluender.

She is preceded in death by her son, Mitchell.

Willard LaDew

Services for Willard Eugene LaDew, 71, of Monticello and formerly of Brooklyn Park for 37 years, are Thursday June 19, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Osseo Church of the Nazarene, 224 First Ave. N.W., Osseo.

Interment will be at Big Lake Cemetery of Big Lake Thursday at 3 p.m. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel, 250 E. Broadway, Monticello. Further visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Thursday.

Mr. LaDew died at his Monticello residence Saturday, June 14, 2003. He was born May 18, 1932, in Harmon, Ill., to Charles and Pauline (Schmidt) LaDew. He graduated from Big Lake High School with a class of 16 students in 1950. He joined the U.S. Air Force in May of 1950 and served until September 1953. He met his future wife Shirley Ann Russell shortly after leaving the service, and they were united in marriage at the Osseo Church of the Nazarene Sept. 3, 1954. For the next two years he attended the Minneapolis School of Business for bookkeeping.

Willard had several vocations during his life including patrolman at Hannon Detective Agency (1964 to 1974); driving school bus (1963 to 1973); driving a laundry truck (1974 to 1984); and working as a custodian for Osseo High School (1964 to 1993) from where he retired. From 1964 to 1979, he managed and enjoyed listening to "The Dew Drops," a musical group of his four children. He also enjoyed photography and took pictures for the Osseo-Maple Grove Press from 1984 to 2002. In 2002 he retired because of health issues.

Mr. LaDew is survived by his wife, Shirley; son Jeffrey (Theresa) of Little Canada; daughters Wanda (David) Becker of Becker, Pam (Patrick) Pemderton of Big Lake, and Sandee (Gregory) Verootis of Clearwater; 11 grandchildren; one great grandchild; sisters Beverly (Eldon) Ott of Rochester, Betty Seehafer of Arden Hills, Geraldine Bernard of Byron, Minn., and Gloria (Elmer) Kruchten of St. Cloud. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles.

Robert H. Pierson

Robert H. Pierson, 79, of Osseo died Monday, June 9, 2003.

A private family service was at the Washburn-McReavy Davies Chapel.

Mr. Pierson is survived by his brothers, Lysle and Ronald Pierson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William A. and Clara A. Pierson; sister, Alice; and brothers, George, Richard, and John.

Charles Reynolds

Services for Charles Reynolds, 74, of Whittier Health Care Center in Minneapolis, formerly of Champlin, were Monday, June 16, 2003, at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home in Anoka.

Interment was at the Champlin Cemetery.

Mr. Reynolds died Sunday, June 8, 2003, at the Hennepin County Medical Center. He was born in Racine, Wis., April 21, 1929, to Melvin And Iris (Hall) Reynolds.

Mr. Reynolds worked in the marble industry as an apprentice.

He is survived by a sister, Jeanne (Richard) Davis and brother, Michael (Dolly) Reynolds; nieces, nephews and friends.

Charles H. Sundberg

Charles H. Sundberg, 70, of Delano, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

Private funeral services took place and interment was in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Mr. Sundberg was born Aug. 23, 1932 in Todd County near Long Prairie, the son of Venner and Bertha Schulke Sundberg. He was united in marriage to Yvonne G. Frederick Feb. 27, 1953 at Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis.

Mr. Sundberg enjoyed watching and feeding birds, gardening, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne; children, Faye (Daniel) Eckland of Paradise, Calif., Chantelle Sundberg of Delano and Charles "Joe" Sundberg of Delano; grandson, Jory Sundberg; brother, Allen (Janet) Sundberg of Long Prairie; sisters, Neva Horton of Osakis and Elsie Schlip of Phoenix, Ariz. and mother-in-law, Almeda Frederick of Brooklyn Center.

He was preceded in death by parents and sister, Joan Redning.

Harry V. Anderson

Services for Harry V. Anderson, 91, of Delano were Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at Light of Christ Lutheran Church in Delano.

Pastor Lee Hallstrom officiated and interment was in the Delano Public Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Christopher Anderson, Ricky Anderson, Dean Anderson, John Farniok, Gerry Gast and Fred Topel.

Mr. Anderson died Friday, May 30, 2003, at his home in Delano. He was born May 23, 1912, to John and Evelyn (Bock) Anderson in St. Paul.

Mr. Anderson operated a sawmill on his family farm south of Delano until he was 76 years old. In the winters, he and his brothers ran an ice business which they operated in the Delano area. Up until the age of 89, Mr. Anderson ran a large payloader in the family gravel business.

Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents; grandsons, Shawn Anderson and Jeffrey Scott Anderson and brothers, Gordon, Melvin and Russell Anderson.

He is survived by wife, Olga (Barfknecht) of 62 years; sons, Ed Anderson and special friend, Delores Walstrom, Donald (Judy) Anderson and Danny (LuAnn) Anderson; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Charlotte Gast and sisters-in-law, Alma Ehalt and Lorna Blaurert.

Rose C. Buetow

Services for Rose C. Buetow, 92, of Westview Acres in Waconia, formerly of Cologne, were Thursday, June 5, 2003, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Cologne.

Fr. George Thoomkuzhy officiated and interment was in the church cemetery.

Casket bearers were grandsons, John Vieau, Martin Vieau, Roger Vieau, Kenneth Lenzen, Scott Petroska, Christopher Furman, Albert Furman, Jr. and Andrew Furman.

Mrs. Buetow died Monday, June 2, 2003, at Good Samaritan Center in Waconia. She was born Jan. 19, 1911, in Benton Township, the daughter of Michael and Barbara (Dimler) Klepperich.

She was baptized and confirmed at St. Bernard's Catholic Church. On Jan. 4, 1937, she married Clarence C. Buetow at St. Benard's Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Aid Society and worked for 10 years at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia in the dietary department. She was a member of the Cologne Senior Citizens and loved to play cards and travel. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband, Clarence C. Buetow; parents, Barbara and Michael Klepperich; sisters, Emma Meyer and Mary Klepperich and brother, Albert Klepperich.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Rosetta and Leon Vieau of Delano, Doreen and Donald Lenzen of Chaska, Clarice and Lawrence Petroska of Chaska and Bonnie and Albert Furman of Deer River; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Florence Klepperich of Hutchinson; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wilbert Meyer of Winsted, Ida Cameron of Chaska and Irene Rolf of Norwood; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Peter G. Cebulla

Services for Peter G. Cebulla, 93, of Norwood-Young America were Saturday, May 24, 2003, at Ascension Catholic Church in Norwood-Young America.

Fr. Paul Ardolf officiated and interment was in Ascension Catholic Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Jason Cebulla, Aaron Cebulla, Todd Cebulla, David Wilson, Joe Cebulla, Jeff Hilgers, John Cebulla, Ron Wormwood and Jeff DeGroot.

Mr. Cebulla died Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at the Good Samaritan Center in Waconia. He was born Aug. 17, 1909, in Montrose, the son of John and Rose (Kuka) Cebulla. He was baptized and confirmed at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown. He married Helen E. Warzeha at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waverly May 11, 1938.

Mr. Cebulla loved to fish and play cards. He was a member of the Mayer and New Germany Senior Citizens.

He was preceded in death by son, Marvin Cebulla; grandson, Brian Cebulla; parents, John and Rose Cebulla; brothers, Jack, William and Ray Cebulla; sisters, Margaret Farniok, Nellie Farniok, Frances Rogers, Rose Nagel and Hattie Kruzel and brother-in-law, Marvin Warzeha.

He is survived by his loving wife, Helen; sons- and daughters-in-law, Harold and Elsie Cebulla of Shapleigh, Maine, David and Donna Cebulla of Norwood and Robert and Marie Cebulla of Spring Valley, Wis., daughter-in-law Doris (Dennis) Mielke of Cologne; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters-in-law, Tom and Bernita Cebulla of Montrose, Agnes Cebulla of Watertown and Lois Warzeha of Delano; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Raymond K. Jorges

Services for Raymond K. Jorges, 45, of Robbinsdale were Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel.

Interment was at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Mr. Jorges is survived by daughter, Stephanie Hein; sister, Caroline (Steve) Taylor and brothers, Rodney (Helga), Rodger (Laure), Rick (Karen) and Russel (Pearl); many nieces, nephews, and friends from the Red Vest.

Jerome Kittock

Services for Jerome Anthony Kittock, 71, of Delano, were Wednesday, May 28, 2003, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Czestochowa in Franklin Township.

Fr. James Livingston officiated and interment was in the church cemetery.

Casketbearers were Kittock's grandchildren.

Mr. Kittock died Sunday, May 25, 2003, in Waconia. He was born Oct. 21, 1931, to Nicholas and Frances (Doherty) Kittock in Franklin Township.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was discharged honorably as a private upon completing his duty. He was a long-time member of the Laborer's Union 563.

He was an outdoorsman and he enjoyed cards, fishing and spending time up north with family. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Czestochowa.

He was preceded in death by son, Gary. He is survived by wife, Elizabeth of 48 years; daughters, Nancy (Kenneth) Loebertmann, Bonnie (David) Graham, Sandy (George) Motzko, Mary (Thomas) Lenz and Donna (Wayne) Gabrelcik; sons, Terrance (Joanne) Kittock, Bernie (Jackie) Kittock and Jeff (Kim) Kittock; sisters, Marilyn (Frank) Schmidt, Barb (Tom) Diedrich, Carmen (Mel) Lenander, Jan Crumb and Lisa Kittock; brothers, Stanley (Lorraine) Kittock, Ed (Marilyn) Kittock and Milton Kittock; 22 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Cindy Kittock and special cat, Muffy.

Clarence H. Kottke

Services for Clarence H. Kottke, 91, of Maple Grove were Sunday, June 8, 2003 at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Corcoran.

Interment was at Immanuel United Methodist Cemetery in Maple Grove.

Mr. Kottke was a life-long resident of Maple Grove. He died Thursday, June 5, 2003 in New Hope. He was born Aug. 21, 1911 in Maple Grove.

He is survived by his brothers, George of Veterans of America Home in Anoka, and Milton of Northridge Care Center in New Hope; 11 nieces and one nephew.

Mr. Kottke is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters, six nieces and nephews.

Donald Leuer

Services for Donald Henry Leuer, 76, of St. Michael were Wednesday, May 28, 2003, at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael.

Rev. Michael Becker was the celebrant and interment followed at St. Michael Cemetery.

A eulogy was given by Michael Leuer and Daniel Leuer. Gift bearers were Jaime and Jaclyn Leuer, Jon Leuer, Carl Leuer, Amelia, Annette and Donnie Leuer, Matthew Westrum, Stella and Leopold Leuer.

Casket bearers were Maren Leuer, Katie Leuer, Derek Leuer, Kristen Leuer, Emmy Lipinski, Sadie Lipinski, Laura and Steve Binkley.

Mr. Leuer died early Sunday morning, May 25, at Fairview-University Hospital in Minneapolis.

He was born Feb. 18, 1927, in Plymouth, the son of Joseph and Theresia "Tracy" Scherer Leuer.

On May 28, 1952, Donald H. Leuer and Alice R. Leger were joined in holy marriage at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Osseo. God blessed their marriage with seven children.

Mr. Leuer was a passionate dairy and crop farmer. He formerly served on the DHTA Board.

Mr. Leuer was a faithful member of St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael and also formerly served on its Parish Council.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Alice R. Leuer (nee Leger); loving children, Michael J. (Holly) Leuer of Medina, James B. (Mary) Leuer of St. Michael, Nancy I. (Woody) Lipinski of Maple Lake, John D. (Lynn) Leuer of St. Michael, Teresa L. (Mark) Binkley of Brookings, S.D., Jean A. (James) Westrum of Maple Grove and Daniel M. (Katie) Leuer of St. Michael; 18 grandchildren; sisters and a brother, Margaret Leuer and Mary "Tootie" (Robert) Weinzierl, all of Plymouth, retired Major General Kenneth (Sally) Leuer, U.S. Army of Columbus, Ga., and Lorraine Meuffels of Waconia; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bruce Lubke

Services for Bruce Scott Lubke, 56, of Albertville were Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael.

Rev. Michael Becker and Rev. Leonard Siebenaler were the concelebrants. Interment followed with military rites at St. Michael Cemetery.

Sr. Anne Becker, SSND, was the organist for the mass. A eulogy was by Connie Becker and Ron Kohorst. Readers were Betty Lambert and Anna Mae Vollbrecht. Servers were Alex Becker, Brian Zachman and Richard Kasper. Gift bearers were Jeff Barthel, Kristan Becker, Stacy Sinner and Kari Donlan.

Casket bearers were Sam Toner, George Beech, Doug Becker, David Becker, Ruben Hamann, Dick Hofmeister and Leo Elkie.

Mr. Lubke died Sunday, May 18, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 2, 1947, in Pipestone the son of Henry and Margaret Blair Lubke.

He graduated from Pipestone High School in 1966.

He honorably served his country from 1966 to 1968 in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany.

On Aug. 5, 1972, Bruce S. Lubke and Mary K. Becker were joined in holy marriage at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael. Rev. Neudecker officiated at their wedding ceremony. God blessed their marriage with four children.

Mr. Lubke and his family owned and operated Broaster Catering, Inc. for the past 23 years.

He was a faithful member of St. Michael Catholic Church. He also belonged to American Legion Post 567 and Knights of Columbus Council 4174.

He is survived by wife, Mary K. Lubke; children, Jacob, Molly (Jamey) Krystosek, Amanda (Fiancee Adam Hartung) and Emily; a grandchild, Clayton; sisters, Betty (George) Beech and Connie (Sam) Toner; step-father, Leonard Stelling; mother-in-law, Eleanor Becker; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Margaret Lubke; brothers, Dick and Hank; and father-in-law, Leander Becker.
