Sadie M. Blesi

Services for Sadie M. Blesi, 109, a long time resident of Champlin and Dayton were Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, at Welander McReavy DuShane Chapel in Robbinsdale.

Private internment will be in the Champlin Cemetery.

Mrs. Blesi died peaceably in her sleep Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, after eight years suffering from the Alzheimer's at Marantha Care Center of Brooklyn Center. She was born in Randall, Minn., Nov. 21, 1893, in a log Cabin built by her parents, Minnie and Edwin Signor.

She taught school in Little Falls and at Karlstad for one year at each town before she married Harry H. Blesi Nov. 2, 1912. They had four children: Gordon, Jean, Wayne and Clair Blesi.

Mrs. Blesi sold her home and land to the Hennepin County Park Reserve in 1980 and lived with Helen and Wayne C. Blesi for five years until she fell and broke her hip in 1985. She had resided at the Maranatha Care Center until her death.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harry, who died Jan. 8, 1960; and two sons, Gordon and Clair Blesi. She is survived by daughter, Jean Leathers of Stanton, Calif., and son, Wayne C. Blesi of New Hope; 13 grandchildren, more than 25 great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren.

Her passing away is a blessing to Sadie and her family, and she will be remembered by many friends for many years.

Herbert Collins

Funeral services for Herbert Collins, 78, of Maple Grove were Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002, at Holcomb-Henry-Boom North Chapel in Shoreview.

Mr. Collins died suddenly Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

He was a retired Honeywell Avionics engineer and a Navy WWII veteran. Mr. Collins was a life member of Omega PSI PHI Fraternity.

He is survived by wife, Nadya Parker-Collins; stepson, Jason Parker; niece, Renee Myles; other nieces and nephews; friend, Jim Thompson; and many other special friends.

Memorials can go to the American Heart Association.

Ada E. Davis

Services for Ada E. Davis, 89, of Champlin, Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Elm Creek Chapel in Brooklyn Park.

Mrs. Davis was born July 12, 1913, in Rapidan, Minn. to Charles L. and Mary V. (Averill) Bedbury. She married Harlan Manley Davis. She died Jan. 13, 2003, at the North Ridge Care Center in Hew Hope.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harlan. She is survived by sons, Gary (Muriel) Davis of Pequot Lakes, Wayne (Kayla) Davis of Maple Grove; daughters, Maxine (Robert) Hayes of Milaca, Linda (Bard) Kallestad of Oak Grove; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews

Interment was at the Morningside Memorial Gardens in Coon Rapids.

Nordis DeCambaliza

Nordis DeCambaliza age 66 of Tuscon, Arizona, formerly of Hanover, died January 16, 2003 at Northwest Medical Center Tuscon, Arizona. She was born January 7, 1937 at Faribault, Minnesota daughter of Melville and Dorene Smith Hoover. She graduated from the University of Minnesota Ag School of Nursing in 1956. She was united in marriage to Noel DeCambaliza on August 28, 1961 at Faribault United Methodist Church.

Mrs. DeCambaliza is survived by her husband Noel; children Brenda (Tim) Svare, Iron, Minnesota, Dana (Colleen) DeCambaliza, Fall Creek, Wisconsin, Blaine (Nadine) DeCambaliza, St. Louis, MO and Cheryl (Kevin) Nowacki, Burton, MI; 11 grandchildren; brother Dean (Donna) Hoover, Burnsville; sister Reta (Truman David) Wood, Mankato also nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Memorial service will be held at Hanover United Methodist Church on Saturday May 24, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. Inurnmaent at the church cemetery. Arrangements by The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home.

Alice Gurholt

Services for Alice Adella Bickford Gurholt, 93, formerly of Robbinsdale, were 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hanover.

Rev. Paul R. Settergren officiated at the funeral service and interment followed at Sunset Memorial Park in Minneapolis.

Colleen Johnson was the organist for the funeral service. "What a Fellowship, What a Joy Divine," "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Blessed Assurance" were sung as congregational hymns.

Troy Rachey, James Bickford Jr., John M. Wilhelm, Steve H. Gustafson, Terry Littlefield and David Mickelson served as casket bearers.

Mrs. Gurholt died Thursday afternoon, Jan. 9, at the Crystal Care Center in Crystal.

She was born Nov. 26, 1909, in Farmington the daughter of Nels and Caroline Eck Wadman.

Alice was baptized in 1909 in Farmington. She was also confirmed in the Christian faith June 7, 1925, at The Swedish Tabernacle in Minneapolis.

She graduated from Minnehaha Academy.

Mrs. Gurholt was a former waitress at the Greyhound Bus Depot in Minneapolis for many years and later owned Smorgey's Grill on West Broadway. She also worked at Honeywell for more than 20 years.

She is survived by children, James (MaryAnne) Bickford Sr. of Sun City, Ariz., and Beverly (Jerome) Kirchner of Loretto; 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Melford (Alice) Wadman of Princeton; other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Gurholt; her parents, Nels and Caroline Wadman; two sisters, Effie Wadman Johnson and Ethel Wadman; and a brother, Axel Wadman.

Dolores Hagel

Services for Dolores E. Hagel (nee Bebeau) "The lover of flowers," 87, of Rogers were at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at Mary-Queen of Peace at St. Martin in Rogers, 21304 Church Ave.

Mrs. Hagel died peacefully Jan. 21 at Princeton Hospital surrounded by her family.

She is preceded in death by her children, Ruth and Michael; grandchildren, Marty Zachman, Brian Miller and Michael Hagel; three brothers, one sister, and son-in-law, Ralph Zachman.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 68 years, Wallace "Wally."

Mrs. Hagel is the mother of LaVerne Zachman, Carol (Jerry) Hackenmueller, Douglas (Darlene), Audrey (Ron) Deglmann, Rose Marie Miller, Paul (Lee Ann), Darlene (James) Wilson and Kathy (Andy) Olberg.

She is also survived by 25 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.

She is further survived by her sisters, Florence (Earl) Klersy, Clarice Bistodeau and Sylvia Kisch; brother, Raymond Bebeau; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was a member of St. Martin's Christian Mothers.

Fay Halliger

Services for Fay Halliger, 87, formerly of Dallas, Ore., were Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dallas, where she was a member.

Mrs. Halliger died Jan. 11, 2003. She was born May 30, 1915, in Mankato, Minn., to Henry and Anna (Harms) Blatzheim.

She married John Halliger Jan. 16, 1933, in St. Paul. She had lived in Lashburn, Sask., Canada, for seven years before moving to St. Paul then later lived in St. Michael for 10 years, Monticello for 10 years, Lake City for 10 years and then moved to Dallas, Ore., in 1974. She moved to California three years ago to be near her daughter and caregiver, Susan.

Mrs. Halliger was a homemaker and a member of Valley Community Hospital Auxiliary in Dallas. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1994; her son, Anthony, in 1951; and her daughter, Denise, in 1998.

She is survived by her sons, Hank, Russell, Richard and Peter; daughters, Susan, Penny and Judie; brothers, Alvin, Vernon and Robert; her sisters, Grace and Doris; 25 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Mason Krueger

Services for Mason Isaiah Krueger, age newborn, of Rockford were Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at the Iten Funeral Chapel in Delano.

Visitation was for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Pastor Dave Garwick officiated with interment in the Delano Public Cemetery.

Mason died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. He was born to Rebecca L. Condon and Jason R. Krueger.

Mason is preceded in death by his paternal great grandparents, Lillian and Arthur Matthews, and maternal great grandmother Lea Hawks.

He is survived by his parents; sisters, Kiana O'Neal, Isabellah Schuette, Kailyn Reynolds and Paige Reisdorfer; paternal grandparents Joyce and Ray Krueger; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Rhonda Condon, Patrick Foley and Sherryl Torgerson and Richard and Shirley Hawks; very special aunts and uncles, Amber, Tina, Jenny, Thomas, Erik, Kara, Deb, Laura, Lea, Mark, Denise, Steve, Angel, Rich, Randy and Elijah.

Elaine K. LaClair

Services for Elaine K. LaClair, 77, formerly of Delano, will be Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, at 1 p.m. at Good Samaritan United Methodist Church in Edina.

Mrs. LaClair died in Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, in Sun City, Ariz. She was born in Delano.

She was preceded in death by parents, Ambrose and Frances (Elsen) Schaust and husband, Floyd Hanson.

She is survived by husband John LaClair; brother, Don (Shirley) Schaust; sister, Kathy (Ken) Marsh; sons, Bob (Marlene), Brad (Rita) and Dick (Penny) Mills; daughter, JoAnn (Dave) Knutson; grandchildren, Darin, Mike, Matt, Greg, Chris and Anne Mills and Travis and Ryan Knutson.

Charlotte LaBissoniere

Funeral services for Charlotte M. LaBissoniere, 84, of Brooklyn Center, formerly of Maple Grove, were Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, at Immaculate Conception Church.

Interment was at St. Anthony Cemetery.

Mrs. LaBissoniere is survived by children: Judy Roy, Mike (Diane) Honan, and Colleen (Ron) Hulke; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; two sisters; special friend, Joan Lentner; many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, John B. Honan and Donald J. LaBissoniere; daughter, Mary Ellen Joyer; grandson, Danny Honan; and granddaughter, Sarah Joyer.

Justine M. Lindgren

Funeral services for Justine M. Lindgren, 11, of Maple Grove will be Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Maple Grove and Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, at Holy Family Catholic Church in McGregor.

Justine died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, in Aitkin County. She was born June 25, 1991, in Fridley.

She was a sixth-grader at Cedar Island Elementary School in Maple Grove and was active in choir, band and the Girl Scouts.

Justine is survived by parents, Lynette Lindgren and step-father Mark Wollschlager, and David Lindgren and Kathy Burdick; sister, Becky; nephew, Devon; future brother-in-law, Joe Reich; step-sisters, Laura and Mary Wollschlager; step-brother, David Wollschlager; best friend, Anne Braton; grandparents, Marian Smith, Fred (Leah) "Papa" Smith, Dorothy and Everette Lindgren and Fred and Theo Wollschlager.

Interment will be in Lansford Cemetery in Jevne Township. Memorials may be given to the Justine M. Lindgren Memorial Fund.

Dale McKelvey

Memorial services for Dale McKelvey, 81, of Maple Grove were Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, at the Plymouth Convenant Church in Plymouth.

Mr. McKelvey died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003.

He is survived by wife, Margaret; son, Wally (Mary) McKelvey; daughters, Joyce (Ronald) Olson and Carolyn Gaunt; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Christopher, Jack, Jennifer, and Topher; other relatives and friends.

Kathleen Mutz

Services for Kathleen Ferrian Mutz, 91, of Albertville were Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, at 10 a.m. at Word of Peace Lutheran Church in Rogers.

Rev. John Christianson officiated and interment followed at St. John's Cemetery in Maple Grove.

Rev. Christianson sang "The Lord's Prayer," "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "How Great Thou Art" as congregational hymns.

Casket bearers were Perry Tatro, Chet Drewelow, Scott Ferrian, Leonard Ross, Vincent Scherber, Rolland Aydt and William "Jack" Dahlheimer.

Mrs. Mutz died Friday, Jan. 10, at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.

She was born March 8, 1911, in Terre Haute, Ind., the daughter of Ernest and Rebecca Less Kaufman.

On Oct. 8, 1934, Kathleen Kaufman and Conrad Ferrian were joined in holy marriage in Excelsior. God blessed their marriage with two children. Mr. Ferrian preceded his wife in death May 10, 1971.

In August 1977, Kathleen Ferrian and Edmond Mutz were joined in holy marriage. Mr. Mutz preceded his wife in death in November 1977.

Through the years, Mrs. Mutz owned and operated several business of her own on Main St. in Rogers. She later managed the Rogers Municipal Liquor Store.

She was a faithful member of Word of Peace Church in Rogers and also belonged to Dayton Senior Citizens and its Card Club.

She is survived by her children, Larry T. (Gloria) Ferrian and LaVerne Ferrian, all of Albertville; a brother, Gordon (Marion) Holst of Minneapolis; four grandchildren, Scott (Kristen) Ferrian, Kim Ferrian, Vickie Ferrian-Strunk and Stacy (Perry) Tatro; seven great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

In addition to her husbands, Mrs. Mutz was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Wayne Kaufman; a sister, Virginia Noli; and by a great uncle, John Less.
