Geraldine Jackson

Funeral service for Geraldine M. Jackson, 84, Spring Lake Park, took place Jan. 19 at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids. Rev. John Bucka officiated.

Jackson died Jan. 14, 2005 in Spring Lake Park. She was born Dec. 17, 1920 in St. Paul to George and Lena Pederson.

She is survived by her children, Beverly (Ray) Masloski, Charlotte Beaulieu, Jerry Jackson, Pamela (David) Selinski, Michael (Pat) Jackson, Roberta Jackson; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends; and special friends, Dick and Jan Bakken.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; grandson, Jimmy Jackson; and parents and siblings.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

Sherrie Janke

Memorial service for Sherrie A. Janke, 59, Elk River, took place Jan. 17, 2005 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

She is survived by her husband, Warren; children, Tony Fokken, Lynn Engnell (Doug); stepchildren, Steven, Dave (Deanna), Linda Johnson (Robert), Laura Reierson (Rick); grandchildren, Calvin, James, Ryan, Tyler, Lindsey, Brandon and Brett; sister, Jan Furlong (Jerry Swanson); and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.

Mae Jennings

Funeral service for Mae A. 'Smiley' Jennings, 83, Coon Rapids, took place Jan. 11 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Chaplain Lynn Welton officiated.

Jennings died Jan. 6, 2005 at Epiphany Pines, Coon Rapids. She was born May 10, 1921 in Minneapolis. She was a longtime volunteer at Epiphany Pines.

She is survived by her children, Suzanne Johnson (Jerry) of Chisago City, Sandi Kane (John) of Oak Grove, Jeffrey Hampton (Deb) of Laurel, Md., Rosemary Stewart of Carlsbad, N.M., and Charles Jennings of Coon Rapids; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Snyder (Virgie) of Peachtree, Ga., and Virginia Moore (Bob) of Mission, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Vern C. Hampton and Charles R. Jennings; and parents, Milton and Marie Snyder.

Interment was at Epiphany Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Funeral Home.

Morris Johnson

Funeral services for Morris Edward Johnson, 92, Anoka, took place Jan. 19 at Advent Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Bob Linstrand officiated.

Johnson died Jan. 16, 2005 at his residence. He was born May 23, 1912 in Biscay to William A. Johnson and Elsie Knick. He was a retired music teacher and director of music in Anoka-Hennepin School District 11.

He is survived by his daughter, Judy (Mark) Swenson; son, Jerry (Karen) Johnson; grandchildren, Curtis, Craig (Jamie), Candice (Pat), Nancy (Nick), Chad (Joanne), Corey (Ranee); and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; and brothers, Melvin and William.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.

Victoria Landborg

Funeral service for Victoria E. Landborg, 91, Aitkin, formerly of Ham Lake, took place Jan. 20 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, East Bethel.

Landborg died Jan. 16, 2005 at Riverwood Health Care Center, Aitkin.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald (Jackie) of Ham Lake, Kenneth (Lois) of Deerwood, Phillip (Marcia) of Eveleth, Dennis (Merlyn) of Aitkin; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sisters, Eva (Wallace) Hamilton, Audrey Walters, Agnes Lundberg, Helen (Jay) Brisson; and brother, Anthony Strecker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; brothers, Michael, Charles, Frank and Richard; and brothers-in-law, William Walters and Gerald Lundberg.

Arrangements were by Mattson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Forest Lake.

Thomas McLaughlin

Funeral service for Thomas J. McLaughlin, 69, Isanti, took place Jan. 20 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Cedar Creek, Oak Grove. Rev. Rick Banker officiated.

McLaughlin died Jan. 15, 2005 at his home. He was born March 2, 1935 in Des Moines, Iowa, to John F. and Lucile (Mercer) McLaughlin.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; children, Thomas McLaughlin and Teresa LaVone-Wensel, both of St. Paul, Timothy (Sue) McLaughlin of Brooklyn Center, Brian McLaughlin of California, Dennis (Heather) McLaughlin of St. Paul; stepchildren, Rhonda (Maurice) Bellfield of New Jersey, Darin (Sandra) Crapser of Santiago, Devona (Jeff) Jensen of Ramsey, Eric Storm of Isanti; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucile McLaughlin; brother, Dan McLaughlin; and sisters, Rosemary Smith and Virginia Swift.

Interment was at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Oak Grove. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.

Nicholas Morlock

Memorial service for Nicholas Lee Morlock, 15, Zimmerman, took place Jan. 18 at the Anoka 7th Day Adventist, Andover, and Jan. 20 at Emmanuel Christian Center in Spring Lake Park.

Morlock died Jan. 12, 2005.

He is survived by his parents, Amy and Tom Teed and Robert and Jennifer Morlock; siblings, Taylor, Alison, Hannah, Avery and Abigail; grandparents, Lee Baldwin, Terry and Peggy Teed, Gary and Darcy Veldhouse and Mike and Margaret Sterling; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Anna Mae Baldwin.

Arrangements were by Dare's Funeral Home.

Alvina Rosenthal

Funeral service for Alvina 'Vinnie' M. Rosenthal, 74, Roseville, took place Jan. 15 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Michael Kennedy officiated.

Rosenthal died Jan. 10, 2005 in Roseville. She was born Dec. 25, 1930 in Keewatin to Anton and Ana Logar and was retired from advertising.

She is survived by her daughters, Roberta F. (Heidi Gibson) of Maple Grove, Elizabeth M. (John) Quast of Zumbrota, Jessica L. (Jack) Thiesen of South Carolina, Carla J. (James) Thiewes of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Kelsey and Erik Benson, Jack III, Michal and James Thiesen, David Alexander Thiewes; and sister, Elizabeth 'Betty' Billington of Minneapolis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and son, James.

Pallbearers were Heidi Gibson, James Thiewes, John Quast and Kelsey and Erik Benson.

Interment was at Epiphany Catholic Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

Bert Wories

Funeral service for Bert Wories, 77, Blaine, took place Jan. 14 at Constance Free Church, Andover. Rev. Randy Discher officiated.

Wories died Jan. 11, 2005 at his home. He was born Aug. 26, 1927 in Groningen, Netherlands, to Adam and Ria (Gringhuis) Wories and was a retired sales representative for Home Valu Interiors.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Margo Wories, Bert J. (Gail), Richard (Julie), Ed, Heather (Mike) Dorn, Karyn (Craig) Sims; stepchildren, Sandy (Jeff) DeMars, Tammy (Glen) Krause, Jim Scheeringa, Junellyn Schultz; numerous grandchildren; brother, Jack (Mary); and sisters, Tina (Pat) Romanchuk and Ann Thuys.

Pallbearers were Richard, Ed, Craig and Joel Wories, Craig Sims, Jim Scheeringa and Glen Krause. Honorary pallbearers were Orin Baumgardner and Wayne English.

Interment was at Constance Cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Audrey Bahr

Funeral service for Audrey Ruth Bahr, 71, Coon Rapids, took place Jan. 25 at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Timothy G. Johnson officiated.

Bahr died Jan. 20, 2005 at Mercy Hospital. She was born July 26, 1933 in Minneapolis to Joseph and Evelyn Ruth (Peterson) Elmer. She was a manager in the food service industry.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence; daughter, Michele Bahr of Blaine; granddaughter, Kendra; sisters, DeLoris, Arlene, Shirley and Marilyn; and many other relatives and friends.

Interment was at St. Fridolin's Cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Merril Buckingham

Funeral service for Merril Hazen Buckingham, 85, Otsego, will take place tomorrow (Saturday, Jan. 29) 1 p.m., at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Liane Rock will officiated. Visitation starts at noon.

Buckingham died Jan. 22, 2005 at North Memorial Medical Center. He was born March 13, 1919 in Ollie, Mont, to Ottis and Katie (Umbeckacher) Buckingham. He was a retired truck driver for Grosslein Beverages and a member of the Zimmerman American Legion Post.

He is survived by his children, Carolyn (Erv) Harves, Curt (Joyce) Simonson; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; and sons, Duane, Kenny and Marlin.

Pallbearers were Ethan, Caleb and Seth Warner, Jake Boeshans and Cory and Joey Lenz.

Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements are by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home.
