Dr. Wendla Macheledt-Leinonen

Funeral service for Dr. Wendla (Wendy) Macheledt-Leinonen, 77, Anoka, will take place today (Friday, Aug. 26), 2 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Tim Johnson will officiate.

Macheledt-Leinonen died Aug. 20, 2005. She was born May 1, 1928. She practiced at the University of Minnesota Health Service for 30 years and was in private practice in Wadena, Fridley and Anoka. She was a charter member of Mercy Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Neil Macheledt; children, Karen and Omar Eton, Janet and Arlo Weltge, Jean Macheledt and husband Guy Kelley, Paul and Ann Macheledt; and grandchildren, Elliott, Bayard, Fred, Eleanor, Paul, Merrick, Preston, Javon and Benjamin.

Pallbearers were Omar Eton, Arlo Weltge, Guy Kelley, Jerry Jacob, Pat O'Leary and Tom Mostenbacher. Honorary pallbearers were Joseph Chutich, Gerry Carlson, Robert Dascher, John O'Leary, LeRoy Johnson, Clyde Scanlon and Frederick Weltge.

Interment is at Zion Evangelical Cemetery, Buffalo Lake. Arrangements are by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka.

Nancy LeRoux

Funeral service for Nancy Catherine LeRoux, 61, Coon Rapids, took place Aug. 20 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Eric Walbot officiated.

LeRoux died Aug. 17, 2005 at Mercy Hospital. She was born July 21, 1944 in St. Cloud to Ruben and Magdalin Margaret (Kujawa) Gales and was a self-employed accountant.

She is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Lisa (Rick) Russell and Michelle (Will) Strootman; granddaughters, Nicole, Cassie and Allison Russell, Sophia Strootman; brother, Merle (Joan) Gales; and sisters, Carol (Jim) Weber, Joyce (Al) Voight and Mary Gales.

Interment was private. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Emily Roseth

Funeral service for Emily Roseth, 15, Coon Rapids, took place Aug. 16 at Church of St. Stephen, Anoka.

Roseth died accidentally Aug. 13, 2005.

She is survived by her parents, Donny and Sheila; brother, Benjamin; grandparents, Dave and Jan Bickman, Don and Sherry Roseth; great-grandpa, Joseph Schwartz; great-grandma, Mary Roseth; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Lynn Boehland

Funeral service for Lynn Calvin Boehland, 55, Ramsey, took place Aug. 31 at Meadow Creek Church. Rev. James C. Thomason officiated.

Boehland died Aug. 27, 2005 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis. He was born July 28, 1950 in Bertha to Ernest Henry and Inez Norma (Krause) Boehland. He was a dentist and owner/operator of Andover Family Dentistry.

He is survived by his wife, Joy; son, Nicholas and wife Heather; daughter, Julianna Boehland; mother, Inez; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest.

Pallbearers were Erik and Scott Johnson, Kyle Swanson, Wayne Pafko, Terrance Boehland and Tyler Butler. Honorary pallbearers were Stephanie Swanson, Melanie Pafko, Tanya Fiebigger, Tasha Boehland, Jill Shaw and Gail Kyer.

Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery, Nowthen. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Barbara Collette

Memorial service for Barbara Laurel Collette, 70, Hinckley, formerly of Cedar and Blaine, took place Aug. 29 at Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel. Rev. Norman Norland officiated.

Collette died Aug. 23, 2005 at Grandview Christian Home, Cambridge. She was born Aug. 5, 1935 in Park Rapids to Ross and Laurel Brown. She graduated from Anoka High School, was a dental hygienist for 37 years and owned and operated Collette's Travel Agency in Cedar for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Bill of Hinckley; mother, Laurel Brown of Hinckley; sister, Sharon (Richard) Lawrence of East Bethel; brother, Bernie (Sue) Brown of White Bear; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Home.

Marion Donelson

Memorial service for Marion Jean Donelson, 85, Coon Rapids, took place Aug. 20 at Faith Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids.

Donelson died Aug. 17, 2005. She was born May 18, 1920 in Minneapolis to Oscar and Winnie "Maude" Koppen.

She is survived by her nieces, Mary (Steven) Wilson, Kristi Koppen (Peter Terch); nephews, Randy Donelson (Christy James), Kurt Donelson; great-nieces, Erin and Courtney Wilson; and great-nephew, Nicholas Terch.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Donelson; and brothers, William and Robert Koppen.

Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Sally Larsen

Funeral service for Sally Jean Larsen, 51, Anoka, took place Aug. 30 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Jack A. Rehnberg officiated.

Larsen died Aug. 26, 2005. She was born Oct. 13, 1953 in Hibbing to Erwin Allyous and Doris Lorraine (Mattson) Schmidt. She was a nurse at Crystal Nursing Home, Robbinsdale.

She is survived by her husband, Scott; daughter, Leslie Rose Fontaine and fiance Vince Salter of Coon Rapids; son, Westley Larsen of Anoka; brother, Peter (Barb) Schmidt of Black River Falls, Wis.; nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Lorraine Schmidt; and sister, Edith Bailey.

Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.

Marion Moffat

Funeral service for Marion H. Moffat, 80, St. Anthony, took place Aug. 29 at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids. Rev. James Martin officiated.

Moffat died Aug. 24, 2005 in Coon Rapids. She was born May 6, 1925 in Ayr, Scotland, to Henry and Marion Hill and was a retired food service industry supervisor.

She is survived by her sons, Robert (Julie) Moffat and Alan (Katie) Moffat; daughter, Linda (Ron) Hansen; grandchildren, Alison (Gary), David (Darcy) and Michael (Laura) and Kaylyn; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Kevin, Jayden, Hailey and Julia; and many relatives in Scotland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; grandson, Thomas; and sister, Ann Tibor.

Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home.

Gale Olson

Memorial service for Gale D. Olson, 84, Ham Lake, took place Aug. 21 at Meadow Creek Church, Andover.

Olson died Aug. 18, 2005. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He owned Olson Heating Service in Bemidji and later worked for Home Builders in Morris, Jarnig Plumbing and Heating of Anoka and Sasco in New Brighton before retiring from the University of Minnesota physical plant in 1985.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel; brother, Arvil (Esther) Olson; children, Joann Olson, Gary (Teresa) Olson, Rick (Marni) Olson; grandchildren, Angela Olson, Alisha (Brant) Freeburg, John (Crista) Olson and Korrina Olson; and great-grandchildren, Tanner and Chase Freeburg.

Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Eleanor Riddel

Memorial service for Eleanor Almeda Riddel, 89, Anoka, took place Aug. 24 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church. Rev. Dennis Heiden officiated.

Riddel died Aug. 19, 2005 at Anoka Care Center. She was born May 29, 1916 in Terry, Mont., to Elmer and Amelia (Thompson) Grant.

She is survived by her sons, Clyde (Marlye) Riddel of Andover, Russ (Johanna) Riddel of Illinois; daughter, Vickie (Bob) Scopel of California; six grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Cheryl and Lois Riddel of Illinois; and special family, Dan, Nancy, Cali and Brody Schmid.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; son, Roger; grandsons, Gregory and Charlie; parents, Elmer and Amelia Grant; and sisters, Norma, Irma and Leona.

Interment was at Union Cemetery, Cambridge. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Ruth Ruffcorn

Funeral service for Ruth Ione Ruffcorn, 84, Coon Rapids, took place Aug. 31 at Coon Rapids United Methodist Church. Rev. Bill Reinhart officiated.

Ruffcorn died Aug. 26, 2005 at Mercy Hospital. She was born July 11, 1921 in Elk River to Robert Keith and Bernice (Wilson) Clark. She was a retired receptionist in a doctor's office.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Voss (Byron Vogel); son, Ronald Ruffcorn (Melodie Hawkins); grandchildren, Staff Sgt. Kurtis (Linda) Voss, Kari Voss, Stephanie (Scott) Fryer, Shelly (Jeff) Johannsen, Dan Ruffcorn and Amy Ruffcorn; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Ann (Clifford) Richardson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold.

Pallbearers were Stephanie Fryer, Shelly Johannsen, Dan and Amy Ruffcorn and Kari and Christopher Voss.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Alan Wallace

Funeral service for Alan J. Wallace, 60, Minneapolis, took place Aug. 22, 2005 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Wallace died after a short battle with cancer. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service.

He is survived by his mother, Celia of Brainerd; brothers, Brian and Jeffrey (Laurie); sister, Gail Johnson (Gordy); nieces, Krista and Nicole; and nephew, Jamie.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Wallace.

Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
