Amelia M. Luepke, 80, of rural New Ulm died Friday September 17, 1999 at the Divine Providence Home in Sleepy Eye.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The Christian Mothers will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Monday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. There will be a parish prayer service at 6:30 p.m. and a rosary at 7:30 p.m. by the St. Elizabeth's Catholic Aid Society both Monday evening at the funeral home.
She is survived by her sisters, Esther Koss of Hopkins, Sister Sharon Schaefer of Donaldson, Ind., and Aurelia Boettger of New Ulm; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lawrence and Amelia Schaefer of Chester, Montana, Henry and Betty Schaefer of New Ulm, Father Roman Schaefer of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and James and Annabelle Schaefer of rural Nicollet.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Leander Boettger in1972 and Raymond Luepke in 1999; brothers, Leo and Herbert Schaefer.
She was born March 6, 1919 in Granby Township, Nicollet County to Leo and Amelia (Bushard) Schaefer. She attended District #20 Granby Township Country School, and graduated from Nicollet Public High School in 1936. She married Leander Boettger in 1952 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm, she then married Raymond Luepke on Sept. 23, 1977 at the St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax. She lived all her life on the family farm in rural New Ulm. She had worked at Herberger's for 46 years. She was member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, St. Elizabeth's Catholic Aid Society, the Christian Mothers Society, and the New Ulm Farm-City Hub Club.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to be given to the Divine Providence Home in Sleepy Eye or the American Cancer Society.

Donald Joseph Glasgow, 76, of St. James, died at his home in St. James.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. James Catholic Church in St. James with burial in Calvary Cemetery St. James with full military rites.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-10 a.m. Monday at the Sturm Funeral Home in St. James.
There will be a combined Christian Mothers and Knights of Columbus Rosary at 4 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. both at the Sturm Funeral Home on Sunday.
He is survived by his children Dan and Bonnie Glasgow of Big Timber, Mont., Wade Glasgow and Jane Jorgenson of Rapid City, SD, Jane and Boyd Maranell of Rosemount; six grandchildren; sisters Frances Stewart of St. Paul, Catherine Amundson of Seattle, Wash., Margaret and Pat Corcoran of St. Louis Park, Mary and Richard Woodcock of Salinas, Calif., Teresa and Bill Ralston of LaPine, Ore., and brother Robert and Shirley Glasgow of St. James; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Joyce in 1980; brother John Glasgow and a sister.
He was born Oct. 1, 1922 to Joseph and Elizabeth (Ryan) Glasgow in Worthington. In 1923 his family moved to St. James where he attended and graduated from St. James High School in 1941. He joined the Army in 1943 and served in the 11th Airborne Unit in the Pacific during WWII.
He married Joyce B. Sizer in May, 1955 in Mankato. They made their home in St. James and he worked for Chicago Northwestern Railroad as a conductor/brakeman for 34 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, V.F.W. Post #1914, American Legion Post #33, Eagles and Knights of Columbus, all in St. James.

Lenny Graff, 50, of Lamberton died Friday, September 17, 1999 as a result of an automobile accident.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ in Lamberton with burial in the Lamberton Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Peter Walter Sawatzky, 79, of Butterfield, died September 18, 1999, at Mountain Lake.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church in St. James with burial in the Calvary Cemetery in St. James.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m Tuesday and 7:30-10 a.m. Wednesday at the Sturm Funeral Home in St. James. There will be a Christian Mothers Rosary at 4 p.m and a Parish Prayer Service at 7 p.m., both at the Sturm Funeral Home in St. James.
He is survived by his wife Mary of St. James; step-children Richard and Cathy Bird of St. James, Linda and Randy Siem of Litchfield, Marvin Ringheim of Fort Worth, Texas, Penny and Randy Callander of South Haven, Robin and Joe Hanson of St. James; nine step-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Helen Sawatsky and brother Diedrich.
He was born on May 20, 1920 in Mountain Lake to Peter and Helena (Wall) Sawatzky. He grew up on the family farm and attended country school. He continued to live on the family farm following his parents death and he and his sister Helen and brother Diedrich farmed. He married Mary Voge on Aug. 23, 1975 at St. James Catholic Church. They couple made their home on the family farm until retiring and moving to Butterfield in 1995. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and served on the township board.

Edwin Dean, 88, of Hector died Friday, September 17, 1999 at the Burns Manor Nursing Home in Hutchinson.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Swendlanda Lutheran Church in Palmyra Township with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Hughes Funeral Home in Hector and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Ady Mattison-Utz, 61, of Clifton, Va., formerly of Revere and Springfield died Thursday, September 16, 1999 in Fairfax, Va.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton with burial in the Lamberton Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30-9 a.m. Tuesday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Delores 'Dolly' Berkner, 72, of Sleepy Eye, died, Sept. 17, 1999 at Sleepy Eye.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30- 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Rome Sleepy Eye. There will be a Christian Mothers, Catholic Aid, COF rosary at 4 p.m; a VFW Auxiliary service at 6 p.m.; and a parish service at 7 p..m. today at the funeral home..
She is survived by her husband, Randall of Sleepy Bye; children, Allan and wife Donnie of Streamwood, Ill., Renae and husband Neil Dock of El Centro, Calif., Vale and wife Dianne of Willmar, Cindy and husband Charles Sobocinski of Barnesville, Pat and wife Patty of Sleepy Eye, and Lynn of Sleepy Eye; 10 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Gerald and wife Olive of Hutchinson, Marvin and wife Bernice of St. James, Milo "Pete" and wife Rosie of Lake Lillian, Rollie and husband Eddy Jungers of El Centro, Calif., Darlene and husband Tom Haas of Camarillo, Calif.; sisters, Audrey Goldschmidt of Sleepy Eye and Carol Jean and husband Roger Hengel of Sleepy Eye.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald and James; and nephew, Steve Goldschmidt.
She was born March 18, 1927, in Home Township, to Leo and Elizabeth (Wildschultz) Goldschmidt. . On Oct. 11, 1950, She married Randall Berkner in Sleepy Eye. She worked as a nurses' aide at Sleepy Eye Hospital where she was honored as Employee of the Year in 1988. She participated in volunteer activities until her retirement in 1992. She was active in CCW; COF; Catholic Aid; Christian Mothers; American Legion, VFW, Hospital, Divine Providence auxiliaries, Prairieville Homemakers Extension Club; Sleepy Eye Golf Club; and various church committees.

Edwin Dean, 88, of Hector, died Friday, Sept. 17, 1999 at Burns Manor Nursing Home in Hutchinson.
Services are 2 p.m.Tuesday at at Swedlanda Lutheran Church in Palmyra Township with burial in the church cemetery,
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Hughes Funeral Home in Hector and continues one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
He is survived by his wife, Arin Dean, of Max; sons: Orville Dean and wife Doris, of Hector, Dale Dean and wife Joyce, of Hector, Duane Dean, of Circle Pines, Gary Dean and wife Gail, of Hector; stepdaughters, Judith Ann Kallroos and husband Bill Brainerd, and Georgene Bydalek and husband of Illinois; eight grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother Leonard Dean and wife Lois, of Golden Valley; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lillie; three sisters; and one brother.
He was born June 12, 1911, in Alpha, to John and Ida (Rosen) Dean. He grew up in Canada and moved with his family to the Hector area in 1923. He married Lillie Johnson on Feb. 21, 1931, at Swedlanda. They farmed in Martinsburg Township until retirement. In 1980 they moved into Hector and lived during the winter months in Arizona. Lillie died in 1994. On Oct. 2, 1996 he married Ann Jirik in Brainerd They lived in Max and wintered in Arizona. He was a member of Swedlanda Lutheran Church and served on the church board. He also served on the Martinsburg Township board and the Farmers Coop Elevator board.

Adrienne 'Addie' Utz, 61, of Clifton, Va., formerly of Revere and Springfield, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999 in Fairfax, Va.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Lamberton, with burial in the City Cemetery, Lamberton.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-9 a.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Home, Lamberton, and will continue one prior to services at the church.
She is survived by son, Don and wife Pam Sparks of Spring Hope, N.C.; grandsons, Glenn, Chad, Travis and D.J. Sparks; father, Leslie Mattison of Lamberton; brothers, Pat and wife Peggy Mattison of Texas and Butch and wife Roane Mattison of Lamberton; sister, Diane and husband Joe Joffery of Hermitage, Penn.; several nieces and nephews; and Jack, Whitney and Chase McAleese.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Fern; and stepmother, Florence.
She was born Oct. 29, 1937, in DeKalb, Ill. Her mother, Fern Makarrall married Leslie Mattison in 1947, and the family made their home on a farm north of Revere. She was later adopted by Leslie. Following Fern's death in 1948, Leslie married Florence Fennern and the family continued to live on the family farm. She married Glen Sparks on June 10, 1960 in Cloverdale, Ore. The family lived in several cities while Glen was in the military. In 1965 Addie and her son Don moved to Springfield. She married Cletus Utz on Sept. 1, 1965, and the couple made their home in Springfield. She worked at the Springfield Co-op Creamery and Ochs Brick and Tile. She also operated the drive-in, a recreation center, theatre and an arts and crafts store, all in Springfield. She later moved to California and was a nanny. In October 1992 she moved to Virginia, where she was a nanny for the McAleese family and worked full-time at Wal-Mart until her death. She was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Ordabelle C. Lindquist, 91, of Winsted and formerly of the Minneapolis and Bernadotte areas, died on Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999, at St. Mary's Care Center in Winsted.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bernadotte Lutheran Cemetery in Bernadotte Township, Nicollet County,
Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel handled arrangements.
She is survived by her son, Lennard Lindquist, D.D.S. and his wife, Judith M. of Burnsville; grandchildren, Jon Lennard Lindquist of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Amy Maire Lindquist of Scottsdale, Ariz.; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard H. Lindquist; brothers, Arnold, Harold, Abdon and Bennett Johnson; and a twin sister, Orda Currier.
She was born Aug. 28, 1908, in Bernadotte Township, Nicollet County, to Nels and Emma Christine (Olson) Johnson. She attended country schools and Winthrop High School. She married Richard H. Lindquist in 1937, at Bernadotte Lutheran Church. The couple lived in Minneapolis. After her husband died, she lived in Nokomis Square for 10 years and Care Free Living in Burnsville for one year before entering the St. Marys Care Center in Winsted in 1994. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Minnehaha Falls. She was also a member of a sewing circle.

Eva Finkelson, 83, of Madelia, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, at Madelia Community Hospital
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Madelia with burial in Trinity Lutheran cemetery.
Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church. The Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia , is handling the arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Harry; five sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
She was born May 1, 1916, in Lake City, Iowa to Anders and Edla (Erickson) Youngdahl. She grew up in Lake City and later Austin where she graduated from high school in 1933. She married Harry C. Finkelson on May 27, 1934, at Little Cedar Lutheran Church, Adams, Minn. They lived in Austin until 1952 when they moved to Madelia. She went to cosmetology school in Mankato and worked as a beautician. She also worked at Luther Memorial Home 15 years as activity director and started the craft department. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid and church circles, Madelia Hospital Auxiliary and a study and recreation club.

Louise M. Antonsen, 88, of Bloomington, formerly of Buffalo Lake, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999, at Southdale Hospital.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bloomington Lutheran Church, with burial in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Buffalo Lake.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Werness Brothers Funeral Chapel, 2300 W. Old Shakopee Rd., Bloomington, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be sent to Bloomington Lutheran Church.
She is survived by sons, Peter and wife Diane of Prior Lake and Clarence and wife Marlene of Sterling, Colo.; daughters, Darlene and husband Wallace Tollefson of Gaylord, Marion and Husband Glenn Tollefson of Hopkins and Margaret Busse of Prior Lake and son-in-law Paul Busse of Prior Lake; 22 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; and daughter, Joan Busse.
She was born Sept. 21, 1910, in Buffalo Lake. She married Clarence Antonsen on Feb. 15, 1930, in Buffalo Lake. They farmed in several towns throughout the region until 1964, when they retired from farming and moved to Bloomington.
