Richard 'Squint' Tubbs, 72, of Redwood Falls, died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999 at home.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Nelson Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, with cremation following.
Visitation is 10 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; step-children, Kathy Wille and husband Ken of Baxter, Tenn., Janice Larson and husband George of Balaton, Arlene Williams and husband Michael of Russell, Philip Persons of Minneapolis, Charlotte Schmidt and husband Tom of St. Paul and Sue Paulsen and husband K.C. of Isle; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Arletta Penske of Vesta and Darlene Groff and husband Lee of Morris; brothers, Vernon and wife Helen of Santa Paula, Calif., Dean and wife Joan of Appleton and Larry and wife Sue of Mitchell, S.D.; and sisters-in-law Carol Tubbs of Glendale, Ariz. and Bonnie Tubbs of Marshall.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and twins in infancy.
He was born Nov. 17, 1926 in Clifton Township, Lyon County, to Dewey and Nina (McChesney) Tubbs. He spent his youth on the home farm attending Milroy Public Schools. He farmed the home place. He married Bonnie Earnest on Feb. 10, 1963 in Clear Lake, S.D. They lived in the Marshall area, where they owned and operated the East End Market in Marshall until 1968. After this he worked for Schwan's until retiring to Redwood Falls in 1989. He was a member of the Order of Eagles for many years.
Robert H. Berg, 78, of Sleepy Eye died Aug. 16, 1999 in Sleepy Eye.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church of Sleepy Eye with burial in the Home Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, and 7:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Millitary rites by the Sleepy Eye Honor Guard.
He is survived by his wife, one nephew, three nieces and several cousins.
He was preceeded in death by his parents.
He was born April 17, 1921 in the Berg Hotel of Sleepy Eye to Herman A. and Lena (Plath) Berg. He grew up and graduated from Sleepy Eye High School in 1939. Bob served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during WWII from July 2, 1942 until Jan. 7, 1946, serving in England and France. He married Hertha Delphine Bjorneberg June 12, 1949 at Zion Lutheran Church in Hanska. Bob worked at the State Bank in Sleepy Eye from April 1, 1948 until his retirement on April 1, 1984. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye, a life member of the Legion and the VFW. He was also a member of the All American Band and Drum Corps association since 1946, the Drum and Bugle Corps from 1939-59, a member of the Sleepy Eye Community Band from 1972-99, and the New Ulm Municipal Band from 1982-99. He served as Sec.-Treas. of the Classic Bowling League from 1960-88 and served as City Association Secretary of the Sleepy Eye Bowling Association from 1961-92. He served as director of the MN State Bowling Association from 1968-80, was president of the MN State Bowling Association in 1981 and served as past president and honorary life member of the MN State Bowling Association since 1981. He also served as treasurer for the Sleepy Eye Golf Club for many years.
Earl W. Feige, 76, of Lamberton, died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999 at Valley View Manor, Lamberton.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Lamberton, with burial in the City Cemetery, New Ulm.
Visitation is 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Sturm Funeral Home, Lamberton, is handling arrangements.
He is survived by sister Linda Lemcke of Valley View; a brother Herbert and wife Laverne of Henderson; a sister-in-law Margaret Feige of Winthrop; an aunt Hilda Bank of Sleepy Eye Care Center; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Walter; and brother-in-law Melvin Lemcke.
He was born March 5, 1923 north of Lamberton to William and Alma (Ott) Fiege. At the age of eight, he moved to Revere and attended Lamberton School. Following school he farmed, then worked at the lumber yard. Later he went to work at the feed mill in Revere, where he worked for several years until retiring in 1976. he lived most of his life in Revere and moved to Valley View Manor in August 1989.
Elroy R. Wolle, 85, of Gaylord, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital, Mankato.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Norwegian Grove Lutheran Church, rural Gaylord, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. A prayer service will be 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

He is survived by his wife Ida; sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Pam of Vancouver, Wash. and Curtis and Nancy of Stevens Point, Wis.; daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn and Bob Conrath of Longview, Wash. and Sandra and Kevin Hartmann of LeSueur; 10 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Betty of Mankato; and sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Dale Lowry of Hackensack.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald, Clarence and Lester; and sisters, Valerie Wolle and Dorothy Yettor.
He was born Feb. 3, 1914 in Wilmont, S.D. to Carl and Elnora (Borchardt) Wolle. At the age of seven he moved with his parents to Lewisville, and at the age of 13 moved to the Mankato area. He attended rural schools. He married Ida Peters on Oct. 9, 1940 in Good Thunder. After their marriage, they farmed in the Good Thunder area. In 1947 they moved to a farm in New Sweden Township, Nicollet County. They retired in 1970 and moved to Gaylord. He worked for the Gaylord Feed Mill for five years and repaired furniture for Quist and Johnson Furniture for many years. He was a member of Norwegian Grove Lutheran Church, rural Gaylord, and served on various church boards.
Chester G. Bulau, 72, of Winthrop, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999 at home.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Winthrop, with burial in the city cemetery.

He is survived by his wife Virginia; sisters, Inez Pagel of Winthrop and Joan Wolter of Arlington; a brother Edgar of O'Neil, Neb.; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Alden; and father-in-law and mother-in-law Hilding and Marion Haag.
He was born Dec. 15, 1926, in Bismarck Township, Sibley County, to Alfred and Elenore (Perschau) Bulau, where he grew up and attended country school. He entered the U.S. Army in April 1945. He served during WWII, as a P.F.C. in Okinawa, Japan, and received an honorable discharge in December 1946. He returned to Winthrop, where he was employed in several jobs. He married Virginia Haag on June 28, 1952 in Winthrop. After their marriage, the couple moved to Sleepy Eye, where he worked for a roofing company for two years. They moved back to Winthrop, where he ran the feed mill, drove truck for Texaco Oil Company and worked as the fork lift operator for Mid-America Dairy for over 30 years, until his retirement.

Raymond 'Ray' Moldan, 52, of Sleepy Eye, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999 in Sleepy Eye.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30-9:30 a.m. Friday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye, with burial in the Church of the Japanese Martyr's Cemetery in Leavenworth.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Moldan of Sleepy Eye; a son, Keith Moldan and special friend Melissa Helget of Sleepy Eye; a daughter, Kathy and her husband Mark Moldaschel of Sleepy Eye; a grandson Trevor Ludewig; brothers, Tom and wife Jolene Moldan of St. Cloud, Norbert and wife Judy Moldan of South Dakota, David and wife Susan Moldan of Sleepy Eye, Leo Moldan and special friend Teresa of Sleepy Eye, Leon and wife Jonnie Moldan of Little Canada, Larry and wife Ruth Moldan of Sleepy Eye, Richard and Shauna Moldan of Sleepy Eye, and Glen and wife Lisa Moldan of New Ulm; sisters Leann and husband Mike Schewe of New Ulm, Joann and husband Pete Oleson of Sleepy Eye, Donna and husband Mark Konz of Sleepy Eye, Mary and husband Kent Rost of Sleepy Eye, and Tammy and husband Dan Windschitl of New Ulm.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was born on April 28, 1947 in Sleepy Eye to Engelbert and Evelyn (Mickelson) Moldan.
He grew up in Mulligan Township and attended school in Comfrey, graduating in 1965. He married Susan Zieske on Oct. 21, 1967 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. The couple lived near Comfrey for a short time before moving to Sleepy Eye.
Ray worked at Sanitary Dairy for 17 years before going to work as a plumber for Klassen Plumbing in New Ulm.
He was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Ervin R. Lindemann, 82, of Arlington died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999 at Arlington Good Samaritan Center.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Arlington with burial in the St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 8-11 a.m. Thursday at the Fenske Funeral Home in Arlington, as well as one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by his wife; sisters and brothers-in-law: Arlene and Elroy Biehn of Arlington, Thusnelda and Marvin Bielke of Glencoe, Selda and Walter Heuer of Glencoe; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Mildred Lindemann of Glencoe, Mabel Meyer of Arlington, Delores Mackenthun of Hamburg, Gertrude Schultz of Arlington, and Gilbert and Dorothy Schultz of Hutchinson, as well as nieces and nephews.
He was born Nov. 2, 1916 in Brownton to albert and Minna (Becker) Lindemann. On Nov.2, 1941 he married Velma Schultz at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Arlington. The couple farmed in Arlington Twp. until 1972 when they moved into the city of Arlington. He was a former member of St. Paul's Church Council.
Wallace Ervin, 77, of Stewart died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999 at Glencoe Area Health Care Center.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stewart with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Hughes Funeral Home in Stewart and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Tarasan and her family of Minneapolis; his sisters and brothers, Kenneth and wife Gladys Ervin of Bismark, N.D., Everett Ervin of Glendale, Ariz., Jessie Day Ervin of California, Helen and her husband Hank Palmer of Minneapolis, Walter and his wife Doris Ervin of Kerkhoven, Ben Ervin of Olivia; his special friend Elisabeth Quandt, and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was born May 25, 1922 in Montevideo to Harry and Myrtle (Ghose) Ervin. He grew up and attended school in the Montevideo area and completed a two year technical course at the Morris Agriculture College. He later served in the United States Army.
He married Jeanette Mettling in 1944, and married Delores Quandt in 1962.
Following his discharge from the Army, he worked for the REA as a lineman for 10 years. For the next 10 years he was an iron worker. Farming then became his occupation, and he farmed for his remaining years in the Stewart area.
He was a member of the Stewart American Legion and also St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stewart.
Gordon H. Mehlhop, 71, of Green Isle died Tuesday, August 17, 1999 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Green Isle. Burial with military honors will be in the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Green Isle.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church and one hour prior to the service at the church. Fenske Funeral Home of Arlington is handling the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife; brothers and sisters-in-law: Hillard and Viola Mehlhop of Ortonville, Victor and Georgia Mehlhop of Fort Wayne, Ind., Donald and Faye Mehlhop of Green Isle; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Inwz Koester of Green Isle, Elmer (Sonny) and Eunice Howe of Hutchinson, Bob and Ellen Fratzke of Hutchinson; nieces and nephews.
He was preceeded in death by his parents and sister Orma Mehlhop.
He was born July 19, 1928 in Green Isle to William J. and Mathilda (Gruenhagen) Mehlhop. He attended eight years of school in Green Isle and one year in Glencoe. He married Caroline Howe Feb. 6, 1956 in Green Isle. He served in the millitary during the Korean conflict. He worked for the Minnesota Highway Department in the Green Isle area for over 30 years, retiring in the late 1980's. He was a member of the Green Isle Legion Post #408 and the Green Isle Baseball Association. He was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a former volunteer for the Green Isle Fire Department.
