Gregory James Elsenpeter

Deacon Gregory J. Elsenpeter, age 59, of Maple Lake died Thursday, February 13, 2003 at home after a four-year battle with cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 17, 2003 at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, Maple Lake. Bishop Richard Pates, Fr. Mark Huberty, Fr. Charles Froehle, Fr. Mark Juettner, and several other Priests and Deacons will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Chatham Township. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service 5 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Deacon Gregory James Elsenpeter was born October 11, 1943 in St. Cloud to A. Harold and Rosalie (Latour) Elsenpeter. He graduated from Maple Lake High School in 1961. He married Krista A. Theder August 24, 1968 in St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, Maple Lake. He lived in Chatham Township, Wright County all his life where he farmed until 1999; for the past three years Greg has been a Deacon. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Buffalo and St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, Maple Lake. Shortly before his death he became a member of the 4th degree of the Knights of Columbus. Greg loved his wife and family, church, farming, and being a Deacon.
Greg is survived by his wife, Krista of Maple Lake; eight children, James (Jean) of Buffalo, Sarah (Adam) Goelz of Maple Lake, Susan (John) Peterson of Maple Lake, Daniel of Maple Lake, Katie of Buffalo, Carmen of Maple Lake, Luke of Maple Lake, Anne Marie of Maple Lake; brothers, Al (Pat) of Maple Lake, H. John of Maple Lake; sister, H. Jeanette (Dean) Woolstencroft of Buffalo; six grandchildren, Joseph, Savanna, Hayley, Daniel, Andrea, and Jack. His parents; brother, H. Gary; and son, Joseph preceded him in death.
Pallbearers will be Jon Deluney, Milo Shoberg, Charles Waugh, Mike Winn, Walt Haselheun, Rod Palmer, Jim Marshall, and Pat Evans.
Music for the funeral provided by the music ministries of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church; directed by Joy Swearingen and Kathy Peterson.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Maple Lake.

Robert Esmond White

Mr. Robert E. White, age 81, of Annandale died at home and went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 5, 2003 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2003 at Annandale United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Garman officiating. Burial will follow in Grace Southside Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to the funeral. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. on Friday.
Robert Esmond White was born April 27, 1921 in Annandale to Alvin and Millie (Daniels) White. He served in the U.S. Marines during WW II from 1942-1945. Robert married Edith A. Christianson August 30, 1958 in Minneapolis and she preceded him in death December 25, 2001. He lived in Annandale most of his life where he was a professional fishing guide, painter, and member of Annandale United Methodist Church. He loved the outdoors, bass fishing, gardening, sports, and was a dear friend to many.
Robert is survived by sisters, Hazel (Larry) Woolhouse of Minneapolis, Bette (John) Hedstrand of Minneapolis; loving niece, Jean Borman of Brooklyn Center; step son, Ralph (Nancy) Christianson of Brandon, FL; nieces, nephews, and many dear and loving friends. His parents, wife, three sisters, and one brother preceded him in death.
Memorials are preferred.
Pallbearers will be Donald Daniels, Roger Hermes Wally Houle, Bill Mc Ginnis, Russ Eigen, and Gerald Abraham.
Music for the funeral provided by Elwyn Nordberg, Floyd Brown, Larry & Nancy Wasmund.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.

George Raymond Dahlin

Mr. George R. Dahlin, age 87, of 555 2nd Street W., Maple Lake died Sunday, January 19, 2003 at his residence.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2003 at St. Timothy`s Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. Mark Huberty officiating. Burial will follow in St. Timothy`s Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel in Maple Lake.
George Raymond Dahlin was born January 4, 1916 in Marysville Township, Wright County to Rueben and Lula (DeMarais) Dahlin. He married Mabel LaFave November 12, 1938 in Maple Lake and she preceded him in death on November 30, 1996. He lived in the Maple Lake area most of his life where he farmed for over 50 years, retiring in 1993.
He is survived by his four children & their spouses, Lloyd & Linda Dahlin of Maple Lake, Edward & Joan Dahlin of Gunnison, CO, Nancy Seth of Buffalo, James & Linda Dahlin of Deerwood; sister, Genevieve Munsterteiger & her husband, Eldred of Buffalo; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, sister, Helen Berquist, and grandson, Raymond Seth.
The pallbearers will be Jim Munstenteiger, Steve & Brian Dahlin, Russell & Lee DeMarais, and David Wermerskirchem. Music will be provided by the St. Timothy`s Resurrection Choir with Marge Pavlik organist.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake, MN.

Clarence Henry Wolf

Mr. Clarence `Red` Wolf, age 71, of 13389 80th Street NW, Annandale died Sunday, January 19, 2003 at his home on Lake John.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at St. John`s Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Scott Jakel officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the church. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel in Annandale. Memorials are preferred to St. John`s Lutheran Church.
Clarence Henry Wolf was born April 1, 1931 at Judson, ND to Henry and Esther (Bauman) Wolf. He married Ruth A. Kaiser November 3, 1951 in New Brighton where he lived until moving to Annandale 35 years ago. He was a machinist for Washington Scientific, Long Lake for 20 years, retiring in 1995. He enjoyed boating and snowmobiling.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth of Annandale; daughter, Sandee Byrd & her husband, Jody of Annandale; grandson, John Wurzinger of Princeton; brothers, sister, & their spouses, Donald & Georgie Wolf of Bismarck, ND, Janice Vogel of Mandan, ND, Daryl & Linda Wolf of Fridley, Wilhelm & Margaret Wolf of St. Louis Park; several nieces and nephews. His daughter, Darla and son, Timothy preceded him in death.
The pallbearers will be John Robasse, John Peery, Cheri Wolf, Jeff Kaiser, Dale Jorgenson, and Jerry Maurer.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.

Christopher David Schneider

Christopher D. `Chris` Schneider, age 17, of Maple Lake died Sunday, April 27, 2003 at the Monticello Big Lake Hospital. Due to injuries received in an automobile accident.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2003 at St. Timothy`s Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Father Mark Huberty officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at St. Timothy`s Catholic Church and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Chris David Schneider was born October 5, 1985 in St. Cloud to Bob and Barb (Bitzer) Schneider. He lived in Maple Lake all his life where he was a member of St. Timothy`s Catholic Church. Chris was a Junior at Maple Lake High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Leadership Program, Boys County, Irish Mentor Program, Teens Against Tobacco Use, and a respected athlete lettering in baseball, football, and basketball; he also was a member of Team Bass Fishing Club, Anoka. Chris was a wonderful young man with a zest for life and lived each day to the fullest. His future plans were to attend college and become a medical doctor. He loved God, his family, lending a hand to anyone in need, fishing, hunting, and the great outdoors. Chris worked weekends at Sunrise Assisted Living in Buffalo.
Chris is survived by his parents, Bob & Barb; sister, Melissa; brother, Matthew, all of Maple Lake; grandmothers, Phyllis Bitzer and Stella Schneider, both of Monticello; aunts; uncles; cousins; and girlfriend, Tricia Uecker. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, David Bitzer and Thomas Schneider.
Pallbearers will be Carter Kittock, Robby Smith, Travis Erger, Shane Caughey, Ed Elfmann, and Tad Wellstad.
Music for the funeral provided by Alison Totz, Sarah Goelz, and Anne Marie Elsenpeter.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake.

Carleen Rae Damberger

Carleen R. Damberger, age 48, of Annandale, MN died Saturday, April 19, 2003 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Rev. Victor Valencia officiating. Friends may call from 4:00-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale.
Carleen Rae Damberger was born March 15, 1955 at New Town, ND to the late George and Beverly (Olsen) Wells. In 1974 she graduated from Central High School, Rapid City, SD and married Myron L. Damberger on August 14, 1976 in Rapid City. From 1976-1980 she lived in Morton, MN and since 1980 in Annandale. She received her B.S. degree in Merchandising from the University of Minnesota and was an account representative for M & M Mars Masterfoods. She enjoyed artistic painting, quilting, crafts, and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Myron; children, Katie and David; all of Annandale; brothers, sisters, & their spouses, Fred & Margaret Klubben, Ted Wells, Kathy & Dean Winsel, Deanna Schnaidt, Kari & Jeff Dill, David & Gail Wells, Julie & Bob Baker, and William Wells.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.

Lawrence Joseph Paumen

Mr. Lawrence `Larry` Paumen, age 45, of Annandale died Sunday, April 20, 2003 at North Memorial Medical Center, Robbinsdale, due to injuries received in a motorcycle accident.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Private inurnment will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Maple Lake. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m.Tuesday and from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Lawrence Joseph `Larry` Paumen was born January 13, 1958 in Buffalo to Orville W. and Rita P. (Scanlon) Paumen. He was raised in Maple Lake where he graduated from Maple Lake High School in 1976. He graduated from Pipestone Technical College in 1978. Larry married Joyce C. Walz December 3, 1983 in Bloomington. From 1978-85 he worked for Red Owl, Minneapolis; 1985-86 owned LJ Meats, Minneapolis; 1986-89 owned Linden Hills Meats, Minneapolis; 1989-2001 owned A-Meat Shoppe, Eden Prairie & Maple Lake; he currently was CEO of American Gourmet Secret, St. Cloud. He lived in Eden Prairie from 1982 until moving back to the Annandale area in 1994. He attended St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale. He was a former Vice President of Minnesota Assoc. of Meat Processors and former member of American Assoc. of Meat Processors. Larry loved his family, business, motorcycle riding, and being a innovator in his industry. Larry won numerous awards for his innovative ideas and meat products. He has been featured many times by Mpls. St. Paul Magazine and the Star Tribune. Larry`s vision for the future was his Countertop Tumbler; devised to marinate and tenderize meats.
Larry is survived by his wife, Joyce of Annandale; daughter, Stephanie of Annandale; parents, Orville & Rita Paumen of Maple Lake; brothers, sisters, & their spouses, Kevin `Big O` & Joan of Maple Lake; Clyde & Shawn of Bon Carbo, CO; Colleen Paumen of Fessenden, ND; Betsy & Tim Gruchow of Park Rapids; Kenny & Margaret of Maple Lake; Jake of Maple Lake; grandmother, Edna (Scanlon) Steman of Maple Lake; many aunts, uncles, nieces, & nephews; mother in law, Carol Walz of Richfield. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Jake & Minnie Paumen; grandfather, Joseph Scanlon; and father in law, Albin Walz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Charles Phillip Alberg

Mr. Charles P. `Chuck` Alberg, age 67, of Annandale died Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2003 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Rev. Victor Valencia officiating. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, April 19th and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale. There will be a prayer service 6 p.m. Saturday.
Charles P. `Chuck` Alberg was born June 14, 1935 in St. Cloud to Edwin and Lila (Mabus) Alberg. He lived his lifetime in Annandale where he married Marilyn E. Sparks on September 7, 1957. He was a municipal and industrial water supply contractor and was employed by Layne Minnesota Co, Minneapolis from 1956-1994, serving as the company`s President from 1988-1994. In 1994, he founded Alberg Water Services, Annandale. He was a former member of the Annandale City Council and Annandale Snowmobile Club. He was a member of the National Rifle Assn., sponsor of Ducks Unlimited, a promoter of wildlife habitat, and an avid outdoorsman and snowmobiler.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn of Annandale; children and their spouses, Steve & Kelleen of Buffalo, Greg & Mary of South Haven, Julia & John Barrett of Annandale; mother, Lila (Alberg) Schaaf of Annandale; 5 grandchildren, Jillian, Andrew, & Kaitlyn Alberg, Lindsay & Brianna Barrett; sisters, brothers, & their spouses, Betty & Russell Yonak of Buffalo, Larry & Margie Alberg of Annandale, Karen & LeRoy Munstenteiger of Grenada, MS, Quentin & Mary of Buffalo. He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Alberg and stepfather, Michael Schaaf.
The pallbearers will be Steve, Greg, Larry, & Quentin Alberg, John Barrett, and Russell Yonak. The music will be provided by Dureen Gasser.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.

Ronald Allan Walberg

Mr. Ronald A. Walberg, age 64, of Annandale died Friday, May 2, 2003 at home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2003 at the Annandale Evangelical Free Church with Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday at the church. There will be a prayer service 5 pm Monday.
Ronald Allan Walberg was born August 3, 1938 in Minneapolis to Clarence and Ellen (Buranen) Walberg. On December 23, 1963 he married Janet M. Helmer in Golden Valley. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Ronald has lived in Annandale for the past 30 years where he worked for his brother in the roofing & siding business. The past two years he has been working at Pythons of St. Cloud. He was a member of the Maple Lake VFW Post # 7664. Ronald loved his family, fishing, and hunting.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Jan of Annandale; daughters, and son, Penny Glunz and here significant other, Jeremy Reeve of Annandale; Allyn Walberg and his wife, Dawn of St. Cloud; Sandy Krohn and her husband, Darrin of Dassel; mother, Ellen Walberg of Annandale; sister, Marlene Ryti of Annandale; six grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Walberg; and brother, Gary Walberg.
Pallbearers will be Dale Rolfzen, Travis & Justin Glunz, Joe Anderson, Randy & Kevin Walberg.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.

Paul Leon Beatty

Paul L. Beatty, age 79, of North Little Rock, AR, formerly of Maple Lake, MN died Tuesday, May 6, 2003 at the Fort Roots VA Medical Center, North Little Rock, AR.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2003 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake with Deacon Mike Medley officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at the funeral chapel. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
Paul Leon Beatty was born January 29, 1924 in Defiance, OH to John H. and Lelah (Hadder) Beatty. He married Mary Jane Hokkala September 21, 1953 in Buffalo, MN and she preceded him in death on December 18, 1975. He served in the U.S. Navy from February 1941 until September 1960 and saw action in the combat area of Africa. He received Service and Honor Medals from the African and European Campaigns and was a competitive naval marksman winning numerous championship medals and trophies. Paul, along with his late wife, Mary Jane, managed the Maple Lake American Legion Post #131 in the early 1970`s. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #131 and Maple Lake VFW Post #7664. He was also active in the Kootie`s Chapter of St. Cloud.
He is survived by children, John Beatty & his wife, Vikki of Conway, AR, Michael Beatty of Clearwater, Selma Hutchinson of Orange Park, FL, Joseph Beatty of Orange Park, FL; 5 grandchildren, Mahlon Hutchinson, Alexander Beatty, Shawn, Shane, and Seth Bennett. His wife and daughter, Paulette preceded him in death.
The pallbearers and honor guard will be members of the American Legion Post #131 and VFW Post #7664. Music will be provided by Sarah Goelz.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Maple Lake.
