Jeanene Rosanne Anderson

Jeanene R. Anderson, age 68, of Maple Lake died Monday, January 24, 2005 at Mercy Hospital, Coon Rapids. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2005 at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Maple Lake with Rev. Richard C. Mark officiating. Inurnment will be in the Maple Lake Community Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Jeanene Rosanne Anderson was born October 9, 1936 in Frazee to Isaac and Rose (Tracy) Roades. She married Laverne C. `Vern` Anderson August 25, 1956 in Millwood, WA. Jeanene was a homemaker and member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Maple Lake. She lived in Shakopee for many years before moving to Maple Lake 13 years ago. Jeanene loved her family, traveling, wintering in Florida, volunteering at Pioneer Park, bird watching, living on Indian Lake, and special projects at church. Jeanene is survived by her husband, Laverne C. `Vern` of Maple Lake; daughter, Stacy (Jeff) Schlichter of Farmington; sister, Frances Overman of Spokane WA; and brothers, Gale (June) of Seattle, WA, Ron (Vanessa) of Millwood, WA, and Ivan (Mary) of Tri City, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Charles. Music for the funeral provided by Myrna Jude and David Schmidt. Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake.

Dorothy Doreen Kessler

Mrs. Dorothy D. ‘Dordy’ Kessler, age 70, of Annandale formerly Minneapolis went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at the Howard Lake Good Samaritan Center.
Memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2005 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Father Harry Walsh officiating. Inurnment will follow in Pleasantview Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale.
Dorothy Doreen ‘Dordy’ Kessler was born October 1, 1934 in Little Falls to Frederick & Philomenia (Dengel) Heurung. She grew up and attended school in Little Falls. In 1952 Lawrence J. Kessler swept her off her feet at the Silver Corners Dance Hall and they were married at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Little Falls on October 12, 1953. In 1954 they moved to the Twin Cities and started their family. After raising her children in North Minneapolis, Dorothy worked 10 years for North Memorial Medical Center as a Dietary Aide. During her last years at North Memorial, they purchased a home on Indian Lake, rural Maple Lake. After retirement they moved to their lake home where they enjoyed several years of fishing and gardening until moving to Annandale in 2000. Each home they lived in was surrounded by many flower gardens as well as a large vegetable garden.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Lawrence of Annandale; sons, daughters, and their spouses, Robert (Grace) of Sebeka, Jean Kessler of Buffalo, Mary Jo Schlee of Excelsior, Lynn (Rob) Antony of Rogers, Jeffrey (Jodie) of Duluth, and Bradley (Michelle) of Inver Grove Heights; grandchildren, Robert Jr., Shawnna, Brandon, Adam, Cassie, Chad, Joshua, Brianna, Tyler, Emily, Paige, and Maddy; great grandchildren, Deliliah, Hailey, Clayton, Derrick, and Travis; sisters, Florence (Daniel) Piekarski of Little Falls, Beverly (Richard) Waddell of Buffalo, and Judith (Keith) Anderson of St. James; brother, Robert of Little Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Roland, Frederick Jr., Albert, and Victor; and sisters, Louise, Evelyn, Geraldine, and Rosemary.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.

Melvina Eva Stumpf

Mrs. Melvina E. Stumpf, age 90, of Maple Lake died Friday, January 14, 2005 at the Buffalo Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at St. Timothy`s Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Father Mark Huberty officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday and 8-10 a.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Monday.
Melvina Eva Stumpf was born September 3, 1914 in Maple Lake to John and Catherine (Cordell) Geyen. She married Victor F. Stumpf September 10, 1935 in Maple Lake and he preceded her in death April 28, 1984. Melvina lived in the Maple Lake area all her life where she was a homemaker and also cooked for 15 years at Camp Courage. She was a member of St. Timothy`s Catholic Church, Maple Lake. Melvina loved her family, cooking, enjoyed summers in Minnesota, and for a few years enjoyed wintering in Texas.
Melvina is survived by 4 children and their spouses, Margaret (James) Hurd of Plymouth, Gerald (Ann) of Maple Lake, Maurice (Joyce) of Phoenix, and Juliana Starr of Hopkins; sisters, Lenora Stumpf of Buffalo, Catherine Happe of Maple Lake, and Delores (Robert) Rohlin of Buffalo; brother, John `Jack` (Darlene) of Annandale; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and twin great granddaughters due in February. 2 sisters and 4 brothers preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be Ronald, Robert, and Richard Hurd, Scott, Todd, and Shawn Stumpf. Music for the funeral provided by Krista Elsenpeter and Sarah Goelz.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake.

James Brown Taylor

Mr. James B. ‘Jim’ Taylor, age 69, of Pequot Lakes, formerly Minnetonka died Friday, January 7, 2005 at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Center, Pine River.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at the Buffalo Covenant Church, Buffalo with Rev. Brett Schmidt and Rev. Carl Taylor officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
James Brown ‘Jim’ Taylor was born August 30 1935 in St. Paul to Allyn C. and Amelia B. (Walstrom) Taylor. He served his Country in the U.S. Army and married Sue E. Seashore August 4, 1979 in Buffalo. He was an insurance salesman for Allstate Insurance Company working the Minneapolis area 35 years and retired in 1998. He lived in Minnetonka for many years before moving to Pequot Lakes in 1998. James loved his family, playing cards, trivia, crossword puzzles, building wood furniture, and being a handyman.
James is survived by his wife, Sue of Pequot Lakes; sons, Brad (Patrice) of Minnetonka, Paul of Seattle, and Dave of Duluth; brother Allyn of Rotonda West, FL; and 2 grandchildren, Emily & Zach. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Meryl.
Music for the funeral provided by Lois Seashore and Karin Wickman.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake.

Clarence John Jude

Mr. Clarence J. Jude, age 90, of Maple Lake died Thursday, January 6, 2005 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2005 at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Father Mark Juettner officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Sunday and 8-9 a.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
Clarence John Jude was born July 18, 1914 in Maple Lake to Joseph & Mary (Brun) Jude. He married Beatrice Eull September 3, 1940 in Monticello. Clarence worked for Wright-Hennepin Electric for over 40 years before retiring in 1980. He also owned his own trucking business, was a policeman for the City of Maple Lake, and was a Special Deputy for the Wright County Sheriff’s Department. Clarence lived his entire life in Maple Lake where he was a member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, served on St. Timothy’s Cemetery Board, former member of Father O’Brien’s Council Knights of Columbus #3613, and a retired member of the Maple Lake Volunteer Fire Department. Clarence loved work, but also thoroughly enjoyed many years of retirement. He and Beatrice made many friends during their yearly trips to Arizona. Clarence was a proud Irishman, a staunch Democrat, a lively storyteller, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was well known for his sense of humor and entertained people with his jokes and stories to the end.
Clarence is survived by his beloved wife, Beatrice of Maple Lake; sons, David (Suzann) of Brighton, MI, and Patrick of Napa, CA; daughters, Jane (Mike) Decker of Waverly, and Bonnie Jude of Brooklyn Center; brothers, Marvin of Rio Linda, CA, and Donald of Andover; grandsons, Jason Jude, and Jacob and Nicholas Decker. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frederic and Francis; and sisters, Catherine Munstenteiger and Magdalen Bihl.
Pallbearers will be Jim & Dick Schillewaert, David & Alan Jude, Bob Potter, and Ron Dircks. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Maple Lake Volunteer Fire Department. Music for the funeral provided by Krista Elsenpeter and Ellen Beaudry.
In lieu of flowers Memorials preferred to the Maple Lake Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 757, Maple Lake MN 55358.

Gaines Thomas Scherma

Mr. Gaines T. 'Buzz' Scherma, age 70, of South Haven died Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2005 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Rev. David Doppenberg officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Hillman. Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral.
Gaines Thomas 'Buzz' Scherma was born January 5, 1935 in Mobile, AL to Gaines & Evelyn (Lavinghouse) Scherma. He served his Country from 1953-1957 in the U.S. Marine Corps. Gaines married Georgene E. Miels February 18, 1957 and the couple later divorced. He was a superintendent in the sewer & water construction business. Gaines lived in Mounds View, White Bear Lake, and Hillman before moving to South Haven in 1990. He was a kind and loving man who adored his children and grandchildren. Buzz had a unique sense of humor fostered by his relentless passion to tease.
Gaines is survived by his children and their spouses, Carol Roquette and friend, Daryl of Hutchinson, Roger of South Haven, Lynn (Kenny) Peterson of Little Falls, and Laura (Jon) Miller of Big Lake. Gaines dearly loved his 10 grandchildren, Amy (Erik) Madson, Jake Roquette, Shane & Brett Peterson, Tyler, Garret & Colton Handeland, Hannah, Mason, & Logan Miller; sisters, Ann Black of Katy, TX and Denni (Gene) Hallock of Cleveland, MN; nieces, Tracey (Danny) Kaiser and Heidi (Tom) Justin; nephews, Mark Black, Brian (Sharon) Black, Kevin Black, and Clint (Lisa) Black, Wayne 'JR' (Sandy) Harrison, and Jason Harrison; and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and niece, Heather Harrison.
Pallbearers will be Jake Roquette, Shane & Brett Peterson, Tyler, Garret, & Colton Handeland, and Mason Miller.

John Vernon Elsenpeter

Mr. John V. Elsenpeter, age 38, of Annandale died Tuesday, January 4, 2005 in Mound due to injuries received in a construction accident.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2005 at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Father Mark Huberty officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 8-9 a.m. Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
John Vernon Elsenpeter was born July 16, 1966 in Buffalo to Clifford J. and Catherine G. (Barthel) Elsenpeter. He was a 1984 graduate of Buffalo High School. John married Janice M. Kramer October 9, 1993 in Buffalo. He lived most of his life in Buffalo before moving to Annandale 3 years ago. He worked as a carpenter and foreman for Edward Kraemer & Sons of Plain, WI for the past 16 years. John was a member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, Maple Lake and the Carpenter & Joiners Union Local #851. He loved his family, friends, helping others, auctions, gardening, canning, smoking meats, fishing, and hunting.
John is survived by his wife, Janice; and sons, Jake J. and Jay R. of Annandale; parents, Clifford & Catherine of Buffalo; brothers and sisters, Jim (Pat) of Buffalo, Sue (Karl) Kiphuth of Hanover, Joe (Jennie) of Buffalo, and George of Buffalo; in laws, Dick & Elaine Och; sisters in law, Marilyn (Joe) Blizil, Tonya Hoekstra, and Kristy (Shaun) Sitzman; brothers in law, Brian Kramer, Scott Kramer, and Chad (Ann) Och; and many nieces; and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Danny, Jerry, Rick, Mike, and Kenny Elsenpeter, David Liefert, Tim Marquette, and Brad Ordorff. Music for the funeral provided by Krista Elsenpeter and Sarah Goelz.
A Memorial fund will be set up at Wells Fargo Bank, 101 1st Ave S. Buffalo MN 55313.

Jean Carol Glubke

Jean C. Glubke, age 78, of 1784 Donnelly Drive NW, Buffalo, formerly of Watkins and Hopkins died Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at the Annandale Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2004 at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. Mark Huberty officiating. Sarah Goelz will provide the music. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.
Jean Carol Glubke was born April 19, 1926 in Cottage Grove to Myron and Virginia (Ming) Beers. She married Howard Glubke on May 17, 1947 in Hopkins and they lived in Hopkins and Watkins prior to moving to Buffalo in 1993. Jean worked in retail accounting for Super Valu in Hopkins for over 20 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of St, Timothy’s Church.
She is survived by her husband, Howard of Buffalo; 2 children, Ginny Burnett & her husband, Kerry of Minnetonka, David Glubke of Buffalo; 2 grandchildren, Susan Snyder & her husband, Dylan of Maple Grove, Thomas Coon of Dalesville, AL; brother, Philip Beers of Blaine, sisters, Phoebe Stangle & her husband, Don of Watkins, and Hazel Walden of Marshall. Her sister, Lois Walden preceded her in death.
The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Maple Lake.

William Henry Kersten

Mr. William ‘Bill’ H. Kersten, age 90, of South Haven died Sunday, January 2, 2005 at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at Zion United Methodist Church, South Haven with Rev. Heather Klason and Rev. Dan Schneider-Bryan officiating. A private burial will follow in Zion Cemetery, South Haven. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday at the church. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
William ‘Bill’ Henry Kersten was born March 8, 1914 in South Haven to Frank G. and Minnie (Ernst) Kersten. He married Trula L. Ballard on May 4, 1935 in St. Paul. Bill lived in South Haven all his life where he was a dedicated farmer and member of Zion United Methodist Church. He was a pioneering member of the Annandale FFA, lifetime Farm Bureau member, served as South Haven Civic Council Clerk, and served on the Southside Township Board. Bill loved his family, studying agriculture and cattle, grass roots politics, baseball, and basketball.
He is survived by his loving wife, Trula of Annandale; son, Roland (Joan) of Grand Forks; granddaughters, Sheryl (Delver), Deborah (Eric), Michele (Eric), and Julie (Randy); 8 great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; very special cousins; and many loved ones. He was preceded in death by sisters, Myrtle Larson, Grace Bailey, and Esther Jucknath; and brother; Ernest.
Pallbearers will be Delver Eleckson, Eric Douma, Eric Craton, David Craton, Brett Aleckson, & Reid Aleckson. Music for the funeral provided by Jamie Miller, Michele Craton, Heather Aleckson, & Deborah Douma.

Sheila Joan Ehlert

Sheila J. Ehlert, age 63, of Buffalo went to be with Jesus on Friday, April 23, 2010 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. Michael Izen officiating. Burial will follow at St. Timothy’s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday with a prayer service 7 p.m. at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake.
Sheila Joan Ehlert was born April 1, 1947 at Cook to Frank and Helen (Winning) Ohmann. She graduated from St. Francis High School in Little Falls and married Marvin Ehlert on June 29, 1968 in Greenwald. She was a medical lab technician working at Allina Medical in Buffalo and was a member of the Clinical Pathology Society & St. Timothy’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors.
She is survived by her husband Marvin of Buffalo, children Mark Ehlert of St. Paul, Stacey Ehlert of Buffalo, Michael Ehlert (Michelle) of Oakdale, brothers & sisters Leon (Bernice) Ohmann of Prior Lake, Sharon Kahlert of Half Moon Bay, CA, Lewis (Ginger) Ohmann of Woodbury, Arthur Ohmann of Orr, Natheline Lutkevich of Hot Springs, AR, and Jean Padgett of Tower. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Duane Ohmann & Brother Patrick Ohmann OSF, and sisters Ruth Holenko & Yvette Grigal.
The pallbearers Shawn & Scott Davis, Mark & Mike Ehlert, Paul & David Ohmann. The music for the service will be provided by Sarah Goelz and Krista Elsenpeter Tarbox. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Maple Lake.
