Williams, Boyd
Boyd Williams died on May 7, 2003. Those of us who knew Boyd will understand that losing him will be a tremendous loss to the quality of our lives, and that the collective wisdom of this small burg has been diminished severely with his departure. His brilliance, eloquentness, wisdom, and joie de vivre were an inspiration to those to whom he offered the precious gift of his close friendship. Others have stopped reading this notice by now, and we are equally certain that Boyd would have wanted it that way.
For those readers who remain, we pray that peace be with you, our enigmatic friend. We have each experienced your company as the source of many truly enlightening conversations on literature, the arts, politics, and the world as you saw it. Your unparalled impact on our lives will neither be duplicated nor forgotten by any of us. May you find your new accommodations pleasant, and the company that you find there to your liking. We will miss you, and if we are fortunate to live in a universe with a kind God, will meet again, dear friend.
For now, Artemidorus returns; an angel looks homeward; but we know with a full, precious, and lovely soul.
If you wish, please send a note or a card to P.O. Box 491.
