Dora Renken-Sprengeler, 100, of Glencoe and formerly of Plato, died at Glencoe Area Health Center's Long Term Care Unit on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999.
Services are 11:30 a.m. Monday at Emanuel Lutheran Church of Hamburg with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 8-9:30 a.m. Monday at Paul-McBride Funeral Chapel in Norwood Young America and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.

Agnes Martin, 81, of Winthrop, died Wednesday Sept. 29, 1999 at her home.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop with burial in the Winthrop Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-8 a.m. at Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop and will continue one hour prior to the time of the service at the church. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Martin of Winthrop; daughter, Diane Anderson and her husband Bill of LeSueur; three grandchildren; brothers, Ruben Beich and wife Delores of Glencoe, Wilfred Beich and wife Ruth of Las Cruses, N.M.; sister, Luella Hahn of Brownton; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Roger; and daughter, Janet.
She was born May 29, 1918, in Brownton to William and Martha (Tabbert) Beich. She attended country school. She married Arthur Martin on May 20, 1938 in Stewart. They farmed in Round Grove Township, McLeod County. They moved to Winthrop in 1965. She worked as a nurses aide at Winthrop Nursing Home. She later worked at Hands, Inc. in Winthrop. She was a past member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stewart, where she was ALCW president for four years. She was currently a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop. She taught Sunday School at both churches.

Germaine Klaras, 92, of St. James died Sept. 30, 1999 in St. Paul.
Service are 9 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church in St. James, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m.today and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Saturday at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James. There will be a Christian Mothers rosary at 4 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She is survived by her brother Tom Running of St. James; nieces Pat Anderson of St. James, Joanne Maluski of Gilbert, Ariz., Carol Friesen of St. James, Mary Bert of Woodbury, Kathy Gramenz of Lakeland, Fla.; nephew, Thomas Running of Cincinnati, Ohio; several great, and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1985, two brothers and one sister.
She was born March 31, 1907, in St. James to Amel and Felice (Richlanger) Running. She from high school in St. James. She married F.R. "Prof" Klaras on Oct. 2, 1941, at St. James Catholic Church. The couple lived in St. James where she worked as a clerk in several local businesses. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, the Ladies Aid and the sewing club.

Catherine Kauffmann, 99, of Arlington, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999 at Arlington Good Samaritan Center.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Arlington with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 2-5 p.m., 6:30-8 p.m. at Fenske Funeral Home in Arlington, and one hour prior to Mass at the church.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Eleanor and Harold Otto of Arlington; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Jean Kauffmann of Arlington; sister, Minnie Brandt of LeSueur; brother, the Rev Joe Robeck of San Francisco, Calif., seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Ole A. Froland, 91, of rural Echo, died Thursday, Sept.30, 1999 at Redwood Falls Hospital.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Assembly of God Church in Granite Falls with burial in the Hillside Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Sunset Funeral Home in Echo and continue Monday one hour prior to services at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Wilsie; sons, Gene Froland and wife Marlene of Hastings, Donald Froland and wife Dorothy of Maple Grove; daughter Wanda Luepke and husband Alvin of Echo; 10 grandchildren, seven grandchildren and six sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Carl, Olaf, Lloyd, Alfred and Miller; sisters Magna and Tina.
He was born June 23, 1908, in Sioux Agency Township, Yellow Medicine County, to Andrew and Jensina (Brunstad) Froland. He attended country school district 93. He married Wilsie L. Iverson on Oct. 9, 1929, in Belview. He worked as a mechanic at Douglas Aircraft in California, American Hoist and Derrick in St. Paul and Falk Motors in Granite Falls before returning to the Froland Century Farm where he farmed for 38 years, retiring in 1971. The couple lived on the farm until 1987. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Granite Falls and had served on the church board. He was instrumental in helping to form the Farmers Co-operative Oil of Echo and served on its first board of directors. He was also active in Farmers Union.

Emma E. Dietl, 96, of New Ulm and a resident of the Lafayette Good Samaritan Home in Lafayette died Thursday, September 30, 1999 at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-10 a.m. Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The Christian Mothers will pray the rosary 4 p.m. Sunday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. A parish prayer service will also be held 7 p.m. Sunday evening at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Marcella and Alphonse Goblirsch of New Ulm; grandchildren, Judith Liebl and her husband, Patrick of Arlington, and Patrick F. Kloeckl and his wife, Joy of rural New Ulm; 12 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren,
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Conrad in 1989; sister, Martha Groebner; grandson, Randal Kloeckl.
She was born Jan. 15, 1903 in Sigel Township, Brown County to Alexander and Anna (Puchner) Flor. She attended District #68, Sigel Township Country School. She married Conrad Dietl on May 3, 1921 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles. After marriage they farmed in Linden Township, Brown County, until they retired in 1950 and moved into New Ulm. She also worked for Tillmann's Bakery and was the housekeeper for the Holy Trinity Rectory in New Ulm. She had been a resident of the Lafayette Good Samaritan Home in Lafayette for two years. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, and the Christian Mothers Society.

Catherine Kauffmann, 99, of Arlington died Wednesday, September 29, 1999 at the Arlington Good Samaritan Center.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Arlington with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-5 and 6:30-8 p.m. Sunday at the Fenske Funeral Home in Arlington and one hour prior to the service at the church. There will be a parish prayer service 4:45 p.m. and Rosary service 8 p.m. both Sunday at the funeral home.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law; Eleanor and Harold Otto of Arlington; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Jean Kauffmann of Arlington; sister Minnie Brandt of LeSueur; brother, Fr. Joe Robeck of San Francisco, Calif., seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.

She was born Aug. 28, 1900 at Jessenland Township, Henderson to John and Theresa (Schloegel) Robeck. She attended eight years of country school. She married Henry Kauffmann in Green Isle. The couple farmed n Green Isle Township for many years. She moved to Oak Terrace Apts. in Gaylord in 1992 where she remained until 1995 when she became a resident of the Arlington Good Samaritan Center. She was a member of St. Mary's CCW.

Alvin Walter Essig, 81, of Springfield, died Thursday, September 30, 1999 at his home.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Springfield with burial in the Springfield City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 -9 a.m. Monday at the Sturm Funeral Home. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
He is survived by his wife Angalia; sons Merlin and his wife Linda Essig of Rochester, Rodney and his wife Shary Essig of Nashville, Tenn.; daugher Barbara and husband Larry Bushard of Longmont, Colo.; five grandchildren and spouses; two great-grandchildren; sisters Alvera Becker of South St. Paul and Lydia Lenzen of Tracy; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was born Aug. 15, 1918 in Germantown Towhship, Cottonwood County to Walter Christ and Lydia (Nickel) Essig. He lived on the home farm for 63 years, and married Angalia Todnem June 6, 1943 in Sleepy Eye. They continued to farm until moving into Springfield in 1981. He also worked for Sanborn Manufacturing Company for 15 years, retiring in 1985. He was a former member of Red Rock United Methodist church and following the move to Springfield joined the Springfield United Methodist Church. He sang solo's and with the qartet of the Red Rock Men's Chorus for 50 years, and 15 years with the Tracy and Windom Barbershoppers groups. In his later years he sang at St. John's Lutheran Home for the enjoyment of the residents. He was a member of the Springfield Lion's Club, the Farmers Health and Golf Club in Sanborn and Springfield Golf Club, served as a church usher and was a volunteer ticket seller for church events and fundraisers.

Raymond L. Becker, 70, of N. Mankato, died Thursday, September 30, 1999 at Mankato House Health Care Center, Mankato.
Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Woodland Hills Chapel, Mankato, with burial in Woodland Hills Memorial Park.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Monday at Woodland Hills Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services.
He is survived by his wife JoAnn; sons and daughters-in-law, Bradley and Nancy of New Ulm, Timothy and Mary of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Dennis and Kim of Trenton, Texas; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Arnold of Mankato and Clarence of N. Mankato; and sisters, Rosemary Chamberlain of Benson, Regina Schettler of Wilmont, and Celia Kent of Clentarf.
He was born Aug. 20, 1929 in Wilmont, to John and Susie (Schartz) Becker. he married JoAnn Miller on Aug. 26, 1950 in Mankato. He grew up in the Wilmont area and later moved to Clentarf, where he farmed with his parents. In 1946, he moved to Mankato and started a plastering business with his two brothers. He worked there 15 years and later worked as a custodian at Norwest Bank in Mankato until his retirement. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, N. Mankato.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lung Association or to the donor's choice.

Edna L. Postel, 91, of New Ulm, died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999 at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital, Mankato.
Services will be 9 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Ulm, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church Monday.
She is survived by daughter-in-law Dorothy Postel of New Ulm; grandchildren, Sandra Doty and husband Douglas of Atwater, Karen Paulsen and husband Steven of Fort Worth, Texas, Jeff Postel and wife Monica of New Ulm, and Julie Johnson of Mankato; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Loretta Richter and Betty Mae Tanley, both of New Ulm; and brothers, Art and Norbert Brueske, both of New Ulm.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son; one sister; and seven brothers.
She was born Dec. 11, 1907 in Courtland Township, to Herman and Bertha (Magers) Brueske. She grew up in New Ulm. She married Henry Postel on May 23, 1928 in Muskateen, Iowa. She worked at Stork Brothers in New Ulm for many years. She was a life-long member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and was involved with the ladies aid group.

Laura Kuck, 98, of Belview, died Saturday, October 2, 1999 at Parkview Home, Belview.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, Belview, with burial in the Belview City Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Grace Lutheran Church, Belview. Visitation continues one hour prior to the service at the church.
Kulow Funeral Service, Belview, is in charge of arrangements.
