H. Delbert Lindquist
H. Delbert Lindquist, 99, of Cambridge passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at GracePointe Crossing Gables East.

He was born on June 9, 1917 in Mora, MN to Albin and Mabel (Nelson) Lindquist.

Delbert is survived by his wife Joyce, children Marlys (Bill) Rohr of Florida, Duane (Gladys) Lindquist of Cambridge, six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, brother Loren Lindquist of Cambridge, sister Doris Johnson of Mora, sister-in-law Lucille King of Minneapolis, brother-in-law Wilbur Reichel of Isanti.

Delores J. Oslund

Delores J. Oslund of Cambridge, died on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at GracePointe Crossing Gables East in Cambridge at the age of 82.

She was born on February 15, 1934 to Robert and Ethel (Olson) Abrahamson in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She attended grade school in Minneapolis and later the Skalen Country School. While in high school she worked at the Nugget Café and Delores graduated from Cambridge High School in 1952. After graduating, she worked for a year for the Veterans Administration at Fort Snelling.

On February 28, 1953 she married E. Sidney Oslund at Cambridge Lutheran Church and they lived all of their married life in Cambridge while raising seven sons. Delores worked for the Cambridge School District from 1973-1996 and worked in every school building in Cambridge & Isanti.

Delores and Sid were active and longtime members of Cambridge Lutheran Church.

She enjoyed music and singing with her sisters, was very active in church social activities,

And bowled couples league with Sid and the women’s league. Delores and Sid spent several winters in Lake Havasu, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Sid in 2011, granddaughter Jill Wicht, brother Vernal Abrahamson, and brother-in-law Stuart Falk.

Delores is survived her sons Mike (Jackie) of Cambridge, Steve (Patti) of Minnetonka, Danny (Brenda), Jerry (Emily), David (Cindy), Randy all of Cambridge and Brad of Ramsey; grandchildren Jodi, Michael, Erin, Nicholas, Marissa, Brandon, Brittany, Betsy, Erik, Felicia, Josh, Jordan, Manashi, Atul, Mitch, Lauryn, Zach, Amber and Hailey, great grandchildren Amanda, Ryan, William, Izzy, Phillip, Lyla, Tre, Dacia, Vandyn, Keayn, Adeline, Hallie, Sophia, Ava. Mason, Ava, Summer, Linkin and Beckett; great-great grandchildren Carson and Braiden, sisters Mary Falk of Cambridge, Joyce (Bob) Swanson of Grasston, sisters-in-law Arlene Oslund and Fran (Dave) Hegna.

Patricia S. Foote
Patricia Foote, age 78, passed away at Rosewood Senior Living on Monday, September 5, 2016.

She is survived by her children Kristy (Alan) Doberstein of Stanchfield, Jodie (Mark) Olson of Stanchfield, Vickie (Dave) Erickson of Dalbo, Shannon (Sarah) Foote Jr. of Stanchfield, Lisa (Matt) McCarron of Chisago City, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.

Private service will be held at a later date.

Ross A. Boulden

Ross Allan Boulden age 64 of Cambridge, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 28, 2016.

Ross was a kind and loving man who always cared for others. He always had time for his kids and foster kids. Ross loved the outdoors and travel. He loved to fish and never missed a deer season. Ross loved traveling across the country and visiting state and national parks, a passion that he shared with his children and wife. He was always quick to help anyone in need and was the most kind-hearted man many will ever meet.

Ross graduated from Cambridge High School in 1969 and went to work at the Cambridge Regional Center where he met the love of his life, and wife, Julie. He and Julie were married for 40 years until her death on February 19, 2016. Ross and Julie had three daughters; Rachael (Matt) Lahr, Emily Dewey and Hannah (Bill) Rentmeester. Ross was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his first grandson. Ross and Julie lovingly opened their home to countless foster children for more than 15 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bill & Bertha Boulden; brothers Billy Boulden and Harry Boulden and son-in-law Christopher Dewey.

Ross is survived by his daughters Rachael (Matt) Lahr, Emily Dewey and Hannah (Bill) Rentmeester; sisters Susan Boulden and Janice (Leon) Boulden and brother Carl (Shelia) Boulden.

The passing of Ross will be deeply felt by all who knew him. He will be forever loved and missed.

Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.

Eldon Mastin

Eldon E. Mastin, 75, of Babbitt, Minn., passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 9 at Range Funeral Home in Virginia, continuing for one hour prior to Thursday’s services at the church. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at the Woodland Presbyterian Church in Babbitt, Minn. Eldon will be buried in the Argo cemetery at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Range Funeral Home in Virginia.

Marvin E. “Bud” Renollet, 72, of Frazee, died on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Frazee, with the Rev. William Aufdenkamp officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Furey Funeral Home, Frazee; continuing for one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in Spruce Grove cemetery, rural Frazee. Arrangements were entrusted to Furey Funeral Home, Frazee.

Norma Sandin

Norma A. Sandin, 86, of Detroit Lakes, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at St. Mary’s Nursing Center in Detroit Lakes. Friends may call between 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 11 at the David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes; visitation will continue for one hour prior to Saturday’s services at the church. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12 at First Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes, with the Rev. Wade Dutton officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove cemetery, Detroit Lakes. Memorials are preferred. The David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes is assisting the family.

Isabelle Wohlsdorf

Isabelle L. Wohlsdorf, 81, of Detroit Lakes, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at her residence. Visitation will take place from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 9 at West-Kjos Funeral Home, Detroit Lakes. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at West-Kjos Funeral Home, with the Rev. Timothy Riley officiating. Burial will be in Shell Lake Immanuel Lutheran cemetery, rural Osage. West-Kjos Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Ansel M. Points
Ansel Martin Points passed away on February 24, 2016 at the age of 90. He was born on April 27, 1925 on the family farm near Mora, MN to Curtis and Matilda Points. He attended country school in the Mora area, graduating from the Knife Lake School.

In 1939, the family moved to the Cambridge Isanti area where he farmed with his dad.

On October 11, 1947, he was united in marriage to DeLores Lindquist in Onamia, MN. They moved to the Rush Point area where they farmed until 1972. Ansel worked for Cambridge Implement for several years, was in the real estate business with his dad until 1971 at which time he began working for Marlton Realty in Cambridge from which he retired in 1993. He and Delores moved to Cambridge in 1990.

Ansel served on the Board of Appeals of Chisago County for several years and on the Rush Lake cemetery Board for over thirty years. He and Delores volunteered delivering Meals on Wheels. They were members of Healthy Seniors and enjoyed driving seniors to appointments and assisting shut ins with grocery shopping. They enjoyed visiting residents in the nursing homes for 30 years and made many friends.

He was a member of the Fish Lake Baptist Church serving as a Sunday school teacher, trustee, treasurer and deacon. Later on he began attending First Baptist Church in Cambridge, where he remained a member until his death.

Ansel thoroughly enjoyed fishing and camping with his family. It was a favorite pastime to camp with his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed the State Parks, the North Shore, and traveling to Mexico, Canada, and throughout the United States.

Ansel was a talented man in many ways and was able to fix, repair, or make anything, which came in handy while farming.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Kenneth and John; sisters Elma Stoffel and Dorotha Foster; grandson Daniel Points. He is survived by his wife DeLores; sons Steven (Wanda), Gary (Sue), Dennis (Edie), David (Debra, Kevin (Kim); daughter Sharon (Mark) Krueger; fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; sister Helen Foster; nieces and nephews.

Mayme Alma Jacobson
Mayme Alma Jacobson, 96, of Milaca, formerly of Crown passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Heritage House in Milaca.

She was born on March 21, 1919 in Spencer Brook Township, Minnesota to William and Emma (Ott) Hass. She grew up in the Spencer Brook area. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church of Crown and attended school at the Crown Christian Day School.

In November 1935 she was united in marriage to Levi Manford Jacobson at Zion Lutheran Church they were blessed with six wonderful children. Levi and Mayme bought the farm that Levi lived in growing up and they would farm it for many years.

Mayme was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church of Crown and enjoyed helping with the Ladies Aide and was active in the quilting group. She was a loving farm wife and mother. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, quilting, cooking, crocheting rugs, and visiting with family and friends, and her beloved four legged companion Ruby.

She was welcomed into heaven with open arms by her parents, husband Levi, daughter Shirley, grandson Aaron Jacobson, brothers Harry, Ben, Otto, Art and Alfred Hass, sisters Ella Olson and Irma Hass.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Lyle Jacobson (Carol Barringer) of Oak Park, LeRoy (Diane) Jacobson of Oak Park, Sharon (Dan) Wilhelm of Monticello, Mary (Gary) High of Coon Rapids, Margie Flack of Long Prairie, seven grandchildren, six step grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Dorothy Dahlman
Dorothy Ann Dahlman, 90, of Cambridge, MN went to be with the Lord early Sunday morning, March 20, 2016.

She was the first born of parents Eben and Verna (Barthine) Dahlman in a back room of the summer kitchen of the Dahlman farm in Cambridge Township on November 25, 1925. She grew up on that farm and helped with house and farm work including riding the newly designed Dahlman Potato Picker; picking out vines and weeds as potatoes moved up the conveyor to be bagged on the rear end of the machine.

Dorothy was educated at Stake School, Cambridge High School, Bethel College and the University of Minnesota. She received Bachelor’s Degrees in elementary education in the ‘40’s and in Christian education in the ‘50’s. She taught 5th grade in Edina and Albert Lea, MN. She then experienced her first foreign travel by accepting a job with the Army Air Force, teaching Air Force children in Japan for two years. She then returned to Minnesota and worked as Christian Education director at her home church in Stanchfield, MN, after which she moved to Temple Baptist Church in Rockford, IL and directed their Christian Education program. After seven years she was called by the Baptist General Conference headquarters in Illinois, where she was in charge of setting up the GMG (Girls Missionary Guild), was director of Christian Women’s Ministry and other Education programs.

She traveled the world representing the Conference. In 1994 she and her roommate Ruth Bertell went to Russia to help the Baptists there set up Women’s ministry programs.

Dorothy was an excellent writer and published books on women’s ministry. Her hobby was collecting her photos and articles together in scrap books for each endeavor with which she was engaged.

In 2000 Dorothy and Ruth moved to Cambridge to live in the River Hills section of GracePointe Crossing. She was active on the board and visitation activities at First Baptist Church. In 2013 they moved to the Commons and lived there until they both passed away in 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Vergie Nelson, brother-in-law Bob Nelson, nephew Jon Nelson, great nephew Daniel Dahlman.

Dorothy is survived by her brothers Willis (Marge) and Ronald (Fern) and their families, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
