Troy D. Gulstad

Troy D. Gulstad, age 54, of New Prague, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at his home.
Troy was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on January 16, 1960, the son of Clayton and Lorine Gulstad. He graduated from Mankato State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Art and Education. He worked security jobs with Unisys, General Mills, and Mystic Lake Casino. Troy was also an Art teacher for 14 years in the New Prague school system.
Troy loved sculpture and pottery, athletics and working out.
Survivors include his mother, Lorine Gulstad of Northome; brothers, Bradley Gulstad (Ann) of Prior Lake, Douglas Gulstad (Geri) of Buffalo; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton.
Gary R. Wendorff
4/9/1945 — 5/30/2014
Gary R. Wendorff, age 69, of Shakopee died on Friday, May 30, 2014 at his home. Gary was born on April 9, 1945 in Hutchinson the son of Emil and Freda (Schlueter) Wendorff. He married
Delores M. Koelln on July 8, 1967 in Litchfield.
Gary was a retired employee of Lake Region Medical where he worked as a machinist.
Survivors include his wife, Delores; children Jeff Wendorff of Shakopee; Lynn (Butch) Olson of Atwater, Laura Wendorff of Shakopee; 9 grandchildren, Adam (Kendra) Nix, Matthew, Kurtis, Austin and Toni Wendorff, Tayana Freeman, Geneva Brown, Payton and Parker Olson; 1 great grandchild, Owen Nix; brother, Ralph Wendorff of Hutchinson and sister, Carol (Wayne) Bachman of Shakopee. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, Albert and nephew, Brian Bachman.
Serving as pallbearers are Gary's grandchildren, Adam Nix, Matthew, Kurtis, Austin and Toni Wendorff and Payton Olson.
Kenneth A. Delbow

Kenneth A. Delbow, age 83, of Shakopee, entered eternal life on Monday, May 26, 2014, at Friendship Manor Nursing Home in Shakopee, Minnesota.
Born on September 7, 1930, in Shakopee, Minnesota, the son of Edward Delbow, Sr. and Rose (Spielmann). Ken graduated from Shakopee High School, and studied one year at Dunwoody College of Technology.
For 47 years Ken was married
to Lorraine Drisco. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a cook apprentice while in the Navy. Ken was a mail carrier for 31 years, delivering in Springfield, Missouri, and in Burnsville, Minnesota. He also enjoyed hunting and playing cards, but loved fishing more than all other hobbies.
Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine (2004); brothers, Robert (Bernice), Edward, Gib (Pat); sister, Ruth (Weston) Dahl. He is survived by step-son, Ed (Mary Carol) Bigot; sisters-in-law, Marge Delbow and Carol Pederson; niece, Brenda (Charlie) Fonder; grandsons, Bill, Jim, Dave, and Tom; 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Reno P. Kehren

Reno Kehren, age 82, of Savage died on Friday, May 16, 2014 in Plymouth. Reno was born on October 31, 1931 in Lake City, Minnesota, the son of Karl and Margaret (Mohr) Kehren. He married
Anne Hanson on June 1, 1957 in Cannon Falls. Reno served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a long time member of Savage American Legion Post 643. He worked as a bricklayer and was a member of Union Local 1 of the Bricklayers.
He is survived by children, Bonnie (Tim) Newgard, Tony Kehren, Lonnie Kehren and Cindy Kehren; 3 grandchildren, Nicholas and Sean Kehren, and Jamie Twaddle; 3 sisters and l brother, Alice Sprick, Margaret Nelson, Jean (Jim) Halling and Fritz (Lotty) Kehren. Reno was preceded in death by his wife, Anne; parents; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Ervin J. Deering

Ervin J. Deering, age 87, of Shakopee died on Friday, May 9, 2014 in Nerstrand, Minnesota surrounded by his family. Erv was born on July 1, 1926 in Pontiac, Michigan the son of Ervin G. and Beatrice (Mechenich) Deering. He married
Patricia Hirscher on October 9, 1948 in Shakopee.
In addition to serving numerous community organizations, Erv's passion for education was unparalleled. Having served as both a teacher and administrator for over three decades, he impacted students at both Shakopee and Bloomington school districts, and St. Thomas University.
Above all, Erv valued 'family' and an unwavering commitment to his wife of 65 years. He instilled many loyalties and traditions to ensure his large, close-knit family will continue to carry on his legacy and love of family values.
Survivors include his wife, Pat; 7 children, Brad (Diane), Mary Pat, Ann (Carey) Warren, Joan (Jim) Spaulding, Michael (Cathy), Joy (Jason) Sutton, John (Michelle); 21 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Floyd and Jack.
Mary Ellen Sardelli

Mary Ellen Sardelli, age 67, of Shakopee, entered eternal life on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on October 29, 1946, the daughter of Leo and Margaret (Gaffney) Meagher. She attended Bemidji State University for 2 years. Mary Ellen married
Tim Sardelli on June 14, 1969 in Hopkins, Minnesota.
For over 30 years Mary Ellen worked as a receptionist at the Chaska Valley Veterinary Clinic. She also volunteered at the Humane Society, and was a member of the Southwest Metro Humane Society Animal Rescue team.
Besides animals, she enjoyed reading, tablet games, gardening, fishing and just being at the lake. She especially adored her time with her 5 grandkids.
Mary Ellen is survived by husband, Tim; children, Teresa Sardelli (fiance, Marc Grey), Brian Sardelli (Angela), Laura Neisen (TJ); grandchildren, Nicholas, Benjamin, Timothy, Jacob, Anna; brother, John 'Jack' Meagher. She was preceded in death by parents, Leo and Margaret Meagher; sister, Margaret Chelmo.
Carole M. (Jacques) Benzick

Carole Marie Benzick (Jacques), age 76, of Plymouth, Minnesota, entered eternal life on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at her residence.
Born on July 10, 1937, in Shakopee, Minnesota, the daughter of Jerome and Elaine (Vogel) Jacques. She was a school teacher in the Wayzata Public Schools.
Survived by brothers and sisters, Pat Busch of Eden Prairie, Russell (Linda) of Prior Lake, Jan Schottle of San Diego, California, Mark (Gloria) of La Grande, Oregon, Paul (Kathleen) of Maple Grove; nephews and nieces. preceded in death by parents, Jerome and Elaine (Vogel) Jacques; nephew, Jerry Busch; niece, Kellie Jacques.
LeRoy H. Aument

LeRoy H. Aument, age 90, of Shakopee, formerly of Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee, Minnesota.
Born on March 16, 1924, in Wilmington, Delaware, the son of George and Anna (Hammond) Aument. LeRoy married
Lorraine Winnicki, and together they had three sons.
LeRoy served in the United States Navy during World War II. He loved the Navy, and often talked and told stories about his time in the military. LeRoy was an electrical engineer, retiring from Bell and Howell in the Chicago, Illinois area. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, woodworking, and especially his grandkids.
Survived by sons, Scott M., Craig L. and wife, Kelly, Mark and wife, Jan; grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer, Alec, Angela, Megan, Tyler, and Luke. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine; a brother and a sister.
Rose Marie Schleper

Rose Marie Schleper, age 84, longtime resident of Shakopee, died peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Jones-Harrison Residence in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Born on May 3, 1930, and raised in Regal, Minnesota, the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Peters) Weidner. She married
Joseph B. Schleper on August 16, 1954, in Regal.
Rose was a school teacher for nearly 20 years and then worked in the admissions department at St. Francis Hospital for another 20 years.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Schleper, Sr.; parents, Robert and Margaret; brother, Charles Weidner; sister, Marcelline Schleper; grandson, Quincy Bieniek.
She is survived by her eight children, Joe Schleper, Jr. (Cheryl) of Delano, Linda Laird (Gene McBride) of Minneapolis, Jeanne Anderson (Tyler) of Hastings, David Schleper of Minneapolis, Bill Schleper (Kristi) of Shakopee, Gary Schleper of Jordan, Tom Schleper (Brenda) of Shakopee, Jen Bieniek (Todd) of Shakopee; as well as 17 grandchildren, Adam and Anna Schleper, Monica (Laird) Butler and Sophie McBride, Maggie, Sam, Max, and Charlie Anderson, Abby and Joey Schleper, Dominick, Kasey, Jack and Vinny Schleper, Brenna, Lacy and Carly Bieniek; two great grandchildren, Caleb and Philippa Butler; brother, Tom Weidner; sisters, Dolores Braun, Sr. Beverly Weidner, O.S.F, Sr. Mary Weidner, O.S.B; sister-in-law, Grace Weidner.
Rose will be remembered for her love of family, music, and baseball, her quick wit, and her pride for her home town of Regal. The family would like to thank the staff at Jones-Harrison Residence for the tremendous care they provided Rose for the past five years of her journey with dementia.
