James “Jess” Jesperson, age 46 of Savage passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 1st.
James was born June 17, 1961 at Mountain Lake, MN to Leonard & Sharon ( Case) Jesperson.
He is survived by sons Tyler James Jesperson of Prior Lake, Travis Pierce Jesperson of Prior Lake, former wife Jenny Lyn Jesperson of Prior Lake, parents Leonard & Sharon Jesperson of Nevis, sister Janet (Keith) Louks of Edgewood NM, brothers Mark Jesperson of Denver, CO, Todd (Christine) Jesperson of Elk River.
Celebration of Life, Saturday, Dec, 8th, 12 Noon with Visitation 1 1/2 hours prior to service all at Ballard– Sunder Funeral Home, Prior Lake.

Michael Smith
Michael Smith, age 59 of Savage passed away on Saturday, December 1st at his home.
Michael was born January 7, 1948 at Minneapolis.
He married
Joanne Fahlstrom on June 10, 1987 at Prior Lake, MN.
Michael is survived by wife Joanne Smith of Savage, children Cheri (Curly) Berg of Minneapolis, Michael, Jr. (Wendy) Smith of Minneapolis, Wayde Smith of Savage, Shane Smith of Savage, Jessica Smith of Apple Valley, 4 grandchildren, brothers John (Sue) Siskoff of Prior Lake, David Siskoff of Lonsdale.
He is preceded in death by parents Hazel & Alex Siskoff, grandparents Ralph & Theresa Smith, brothers Frank Siskoff & Patrick Siskoff.
Visitation is Tuesday, December 4th, 4 till 8 PM at Ballard– Sunder Funeral Home in Prior Lake.

Ryan William Sauer
Ryan William Sauer, age 24 of Prior Lake, MN passed away from the results of a car accident.
Loved and forever missed by his parents, Mike and Marilyn Sauer of Prior Lake, Bruce Darling of Delta, PA; brother, Chris Sauer of Prior Lake, MN; step-sisters: Sarah Darling, Alexandra Darling, Amy Darling all of Delta, PA, grandparents: Walter & Marie Trevis of Farmington, Peggy Blake of IA, Carole Darling of Owatonna; many relatives and friends.
Preceded by his grandfathers: Gerald Sauer, Russell Blake and Don Darling.
Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 3rd, 2-6 pm, Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, Prior Lake and also one hour prior the service at church on Monday

Ryan loved to play the guitar and was active in his church band. He was a member of the Harbor Community Church of Prior Lake. He enjoyed deer hunting, snow boarding and being with family and friends. Ryan liked to go to the beach with his dog, Gibson.
Mark Dawson
Mark Phillip Dawson, 48, of Prior Lake, Minnesota found peace in the arms of the Lord on January 26, 2008. Mark waged a courageous battle with oral cancer. Mark was born to Phillip and Marlene Dawson on December 12, 1959 and grew up in La Crescent, Minnesota. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. Mark was the loving husband of Connie (Czechowicz) Dawson and the proud father of Zachary and Brett. For the past 18 years Mark devoted his professional life to the Best Buy Company. Mark was a whole-hearted fan of the Green Bay Packers.
In addition to Connie, Zachary and Brett, Mark is survived by his family, Phillip and Marlene Dawson, Paul Dawson, Todd Dawson and John and Anna Dawson, and John’s children Cody and Riley and their mother Stacy Dawson. He is lovingly survived by his beloved mother-in-law Avis Czechowicz and Connie’s family Larry and Maza Czechowicz, Ross, Heather; John and Lynn Berge, Maren; Rick and Sue Boyer, Tracy (Brian), Cary (Jason), Aaron (Lisa); Jim and Kim Czechowicz, Dale; Steve and Sandy Ahrens, Lane, Brent; Brian Czechowicz, Cassie; Lisa and Troy Anderson, Samantha, Hunter. Mark is reunited in heaven with his grandparents Truman and Evelyn Bjelland and Ray and Margaret Dawson and his father-in-law, Frank Czechowicz.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 2 at 2:00 PM at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, 3611 North Berens Road NW, Prior Lake, Minnesota. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. The family requests no flowers. Memorials are appreciated to the Mark Dawson Family Fund at any US Bank or to Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church.

Lois was born April 24, 1916, Aberdeen SD to parents, Jacob Edison and Pearl Alberta (Kendall) Gorder
Edwin Norman “Norm” Barsness and Lois were united in marriage July 30, 1938 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aberdeen, SD. They were blessed with 3 children. Norm passed away Nov. 26, 1989.

Shirley Ann Bortness, age 72 of Jordan passed away on Monday, January 14, 2008 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Shirley was born February 7th, 1935 at Volga, South Dakota. Her parents were Alvin & Esther (Torkelson) Pedersen.
She married
Oliver Bortness on October 3, 1953 at Pipestone, MN.
Preceded by husband Oliver Bortness, parents parents were Alvin & Esther (Torkelson) Pedersen. 2 sisters Betty & Betty, brother Larry.
Survived by children Helen (Javier) Ocampo of Burnsville, Rita (Victor) Hudson of, Bridgeville, Delaware, Sandi Vasquez of Savage, Tom (Andrea) Bortness of Glencoe, Pat (Dave) Peterson of Jordan, 12 grandchildren 19 great grandchildren, brother Wallace “Bud” (Janet) Pedersen of San Diego, CA, Jerry (Rosie) Pedersen of Cannon Falls, sister Wanda ( Tom) Nessith of Macomb Twp., Michigan.
Visitation is Thursday, January 17, 2008 4-til 8 PM at Ballard– Sunder Funeral Home, 104 First St. W., Jordan, MN. there also will be visitation at the church 1 hour prior to service.
Funeral Service is Friday, January 18, 2008 at Hope Lutheran Church, Jordan, with the Reverend Steven Thompson presiding.
Interment will be at Spirit Hill cemetery in Jordan.
