Kantner, Jeffrey Shepard
February 7, 1953 - April 3, 2012
Age 59, a longtime resident of Saint Paul died on April 3, 2012 of complications resulting from a cardiac arrest. Born in Chicago on February 7, 1953 to Irene Marie (Shepard) Kantner and Harold Herman Kantner, Jeff went to grade schools in Hyde Park and Evanston, graduating from Evanston (IL) Township High School in 1970. After studying photography at Columbia College in Chicago, he graduated from the cabinetmaking program at Saint Paul Technical College, spending his career as a craftsman and master carpenter. A fishing fool, dawn on opening day often found him on Echo Lake in northern Minnesota. preceded in death by his parents and sister Carol, he will be deeply missed by his siblings, Kristen Ann McCain (Pie Town, NM) and Steven Shepard Kantner (Saint Paul), three nephews and one niece, and two great-nephews. Memorial gifts may be made to The Joy Project, PO Box 16488, St. Paul, MN 55116. A Remembrance Picnic for friends, dogs, and family will be held at the Hidden Falls Park Shelter (S. Mississippi River Blvd & Magoffin) on Friday, April 13 from 5 to 7.

Age 97 of Portland, OR. Interment at Winter cemetery in Winter, WI.

Boettcher, Linda Diane
September 1, 1960 - April 1, 2012
Age 51 of Minneapolis. preceded in death by parents, Wilmer and Mary June (Johnson) Boettcher. Survived by siblings, Lillian (Marlene Delfs) Boettcher, Mardell Boettcher, Gary (Brenda) Boettcher and Glen Boettcher; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephew. Memorial service will be held at Lydia Zion United Methodist Church, 1026 East 205th St., Jordan, MN 55352 on Saturday, April 7 at 4:00 p.m. with a visitation 1 hour prior. Interment at Concord Hill cemetery in Jordan. Memorials preferred to copdfoundation.org.

Younge, Asukile Osaze
March 10, 1989 - March 29, 2012
Age 23 of Minneapolis. preceded in death by mother, Linda Rachelle Younge; beloved grandmother, Lillie Lauralee Younge. Survived by twin sister, Shadae Rashida Younge; father, Dwight Earl Rodgers; a host of aunties, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral service Friday, April 6 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation 1 hour prior, at Victory Christian Center, 3500 East Lake St., Minneapolis 55406 (612-721-4355). Interment at Mound cemetery in Brooklyn Center.

Bass, LaWando Andre
October 15, 1973 - March 27, 2012
Age 38, of Crystal. LaWando was born to Deborah Bass, of Minneapolis, MN, where he lived all of his life. He was with Hammer Residence for 20 years and also worked with Workabilities. preceded in death by grandparents, Wallace and Margaret Bass, of Minneapolis. Survived by brotherd, Pierre (Shree) Avent Bass and Sean Avent Bass; niece, Aryah; nephew, Nasir Bass; stepfather, Gregory Avent; cousins, Alonzo Delanse and Keith Bass, Crystal, Dennis, Denise and Dereese Bass, Rochelle and Elijah Bass, Tamara and Terrance Burns, Lakesha, Niki, Alona and Tanika Bass, Derrick and Derchelle Bass-Johnstone, Ciearra McKinney-Bass; a host of other relatives. Special thanks to Claudette Dennis, of Nashville, Sharon Brown from the Douglas Drive apartment, and True Vine Church for helping us out. Big thanks to Rochelle Hassan and the Clevent family for all of their help, and to Hammer Residence and
Workability. LaWando was a very sweet person. He could not talk, but he got his point across. He was loved and cherished by family and he will truly be missed. Memorial service Wednesday, April 11 at 5:00 p.m. at True Vine Baptist Church, 2639 Thomas Ave. N, Minneapolis. Visitation 1 hour prior.

Age 51 of New Hope, MN, was found to have passed away unexpectedly in his home on March 21, 2012. preceded in death by his parents, and survived by his 2 brothers, Jon and Brian Banning, both of Oakdale, CA. Inurnment will take place in CA. Memorial event to be held at Broadway Village Apts Community Room on Tues., April 3 at 7:00 PM - 6040 W. Broadway Ave., New Hope, MN.

Hill, Dianna Joyce (nee Jacobsma)

Beloved wife and mother, 67, of Coon Rapids, passed away peacefully at home on March 23rd after a long battle with cancer. Survived by husband, Richard; children, Teresa Wolter, Charlene, Tammy (Jon) Norlin, Timothy (Carrie); 7 grandchildren, and cherished friend, Rosalind. Survived by children Nadia Yvette Gray, Lenora Clarice Gray, Nathaniel Valentino Gray and Tomara Jasmina McCuiston; grandchildren, Chanaiya Monet Thomas, Jakai Ayiana Montgomery and Nateryonna Derosiers; a host of extended family and friends. Funeral service Friday, March 30 at 11:00 a.m., with wake 1 hour prior, at God's Revelation Church, 3751 - 17th Ave. S, Minneapolis 55407. Interment at Mound cemetery in Brooklyn Center.

Pnewski, Donald William Jr.
August 21, 1958 - March 22, 2012
Age 53 of St. Paul, unexpectedly passed away March 22nd. preceded in death by parents, Donald and Dorothy; brother, Robert. He will be sadly missed by his children, Christy (Will) Smith, Donald Pnewski III and Mallory Leithauser; 6 grandchildren; sisters, Patricia K. Pnewski, Teri (Tim) Lauer, Dori (Steve) Giebler and Jodi (Mike) Weber; many nieces and nephews. Visitation Monday, March 26th at 9:00 am. Mass to follow at 11 am at St. James Catholic Church, 496 View St., St. Paul. Interment following at Resurrection cemetery. Memorials preferred to People Inc.

Moore, Frank Carlton
July 15, 1923 - March 7, 2012
Age 88, of Woodbury Formerly of Sacramento, CA passed away March 7, 2012 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He died at home with the love of his son, daughter in-law and grandchildren embracing him as he joined his beloved wife Mary in Heaven. Frank was born in Halsey, Nebraska on July 15, 1923 to Frank Moore, Sr and Viola Ridenour. Upon graduation from high school, Frank worked for Consolidated Aircraft in San Diego, California building B-24 bombers for the war effort. He later joined the Merchant Marines where he served aboard ship for six months and soon thereafter enlisted in the Army serving on active duty for 20 years, eventually rising to the rank of Captain at the time of his retirement. Frank(Carlton) fought overseas in the Philippines and Japan during World War II and later in Vietnam at the beginning of that 10 year conflict. He was awarded the Bronze Star for Valor and numerous other service medals. Frank completed his undergraduate program at the University of Omaha with a degree in History through the Army's Bootstrap program. Following his military career, he went on to obtain his Master's in Industrial Arts from Chico State University, Chico, California and taught in the Sacramento, CA area for 20 years. preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary Rose Moore(nee Garza) to whom he was married for 47 years, and his brother Gilbert. Survived by his sister Ruby Grubb, brothers Howard Moore, Don (Bertha) Brooks, & Lyle (Marian) Brooks; sons Oliver (Darla) Moore of Las Vegas, Nevada and Gary (Patrice) Moore of Woodbury, MN. He is also survived by his grandchildren whom he treasured immensely: Clarissa (Scott) of San Antonio, TX , and Ryan, Austin, & Catherine of Woodbury, MN; and numerous other relatives and friends. During Frank's extended illness he/we were blessed to be surrounded by so many caring and compassionate friends and caregivers. We would like to thank Sherron, Kathy, & Karen from Baywood Home Care for the years of outstanding daily care; Julie, RN and V. Hugec, MD from Minnesota Oncology for their kindness and support throughout Dad's long illness; and Heartland Hospice for making Frank's final days/hours peaceful and dignified. We will celebrate a life well lived with a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday March 24 at 1pm at St. Ambrose of Woodbury Catholic Community, 4125 Woodbury Drive in Woodbury, MN with visitation 30 minutes prior. Interment at Fort Sam Houston National cemetery, San Antonio, TX on June 29, 2012 with full military honors. Memorials preferred to the Wounded Warrior Project. A fuller life would be hard to find. A good man, like you, even harder to find. Here's to you, Dad.

Age 40 of St. Paul. Beloved Husband, Father, Pastor at Twin Cities Bible Church, Teacher & Coach at Liberty Classical Academy, went home to be with the Lord on March 1, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by beloved wife, Emily; cherished daughter, Erika; parents, Richard R. and Judy K. (Myers); brother, Steve (Christy); brother, Rob (Kathy). A Memorial Celebration will be held on Monday, March 5, 2012 at Rockpoint Church, 5825 Kelvin Avenue North, Lake Elmo, MN 55042. Visitation 9-11AM. Service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Age 87 of St. Paul, passed away Mar. 1, 2012, in her residence in St. Paul.
Bernie is predeceased by her parents and husband, Gib Wendt. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Robert) Freeman, St. Paul; granddaughter, Elizabeth Freeman, St. Louis Park, Minn.; and brother, Victor (Marilyn) Miller, Hot Springs, Ark. A private service is being held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in St. Paul on Friday, March 9.
