Age 84, of Omaha, NE, passed away in Edina, MN. preceded in death by husband, David Majors. Survived by children, Dalienne (Jim Kent), Derek (Molly), Troy VanDyke (Ken), and Trent (Lynn); 5 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Born and raised in Boston, MA, she graduated from Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, where she married Omaha violinist, David Majors. The couple moved to Omaha in 1950. While raising her children, Elaine was piano accompanist for Central HS and the Omaha Community Playhouse. She earned a Masters Degree and taught Humanities at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and later taught piano at Creighton University. She also worked for Cedric Hartman, Inc.
MEMORIAL SERVICE 10am Monday, October 29, at First Central Congregational Church, 421 S. 36th St. Memorials preferred to JDRF (www.jdrf.org).

McLaughlin, Thomas
February 27, 1932 - October 20, 2012
Age 80, of St. Paul, passed away on Oct. 20, 2012. Survived by his loving family and friends. Proud Navy Veteran, serving during the Korean War. Memorial Mass will be at the Assumption Church, 51 7th Street West, Saint Paul, MN, on Wed., Oct. 31 at 10AM, with a gathering one hour prior to the Mass. Interment Ft. Snelling National cemetery. Tom's friends are grateful to the Our Lady of Peace Home for their excellent care.

Age 87, of Beacon Hill Commons, Minnetonka (formerly Norman County), went home to her heavenly Father, Wednesday, October 17, 2012. preceded in death by her mother, Anna Gordon and her father, Andrew J. Gordon; husband, Clyde and 13 of 15 siblings. Louise is survived by one sister, Ann Larson (Graydon) of Ada, MN; children, Craig (Shan), Mary, Brad (Jessy), Pamela (John), Jennifer; 13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was blessed with many wonderful friends through her involvement with Minnetonka Community Church for decades. She was a beloved neighbor to her fellow residents at the Atrium in Glen Lake and a joy to staff and residents at her final home, the Commons of Beacon Hill assisted living. Louise was a gracious and loving conduit of Jesus' love which was demonstrated towards everyone she met through simple things like serving in the church kitchen. "Grandma Zooma" will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. Memorial service at 11 AM Saturday, October 27 at Wayzata Free Church (705 County Road 101 N, Plymouth). Memorials preferred to Wayzata Free Church missions outreach.

Ruchotzke, Dona Jean (nee Mohr)
December 20, 1937 - October 14, 2012
Age 74, a resident of Tucson, AZ, passed away peacefully, among family and friends, Sunday, October 14, 2012, after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer. Dona Ruchotzke was born December 20, 1938 to the late Ralph and Anna Mohr, Preston, IA. She grew up on the family farm near Charlotte, IA. Dona was married to Hugo Ruchotzke on April 22, 1956. A focus in Dona's life was her family and grandchildren. Dona was a gracious homemaker who enjoyed playing cards with friends and also relished her quiet time to write poetry. Left to cherish Dona's memory are her two daughters and their spouses, Debra (Don) Ludemann, Little Falls, MN and Susan (Karl) Self, Vadnais Heights, MN; grandchildren, Jessie and Tommy Self; sisters, LaVonne (Aaron) Freuchtinecht, Eldridge, IA and Myrna Earhart, Hiawatha, IA; brother, Merlin (Rhoda) Mohr, Houston, TX; sisters/brothers-in-law, John and Madge Ruchotzke, Grinnell, IA, Louis and Linda Ruchotzke, Preston, IA, Cleo and Don Gray, Preston, IA, Caroline Behn, Preston, IA, Richard Eggers, Teeds Grove, IA and Mardella Ruchotzke, Miles, IA and many nieces and nephews. Dona was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hugo and his parents, sister-in-law, Leola Eggers and brothers-in-law, Wes Behn and Carroll Ruchotzke as well as nephews, Aaron Gray, David Behn and Lane Ruchotzke. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 11575 N. First Ave. at 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to "Resurrection Lutheran Ruchotzke Fund" or "Pillars Hospice House."

Doebler, David Arthur
August 16, 1928 - October 13, 2012
Age 84, of Minneapolis, former President of the National Hay Association, died October 13 at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis. Mr. Doebler was born on August 16, 1928 in Syracuse, NY and was a 1945 graduate of Jersey Shore (PA) High School. At 17 near the end of WWII, he enlisted in the Army. He was stationed with the Army Air Corps in the San Francisco Bay area and Alaska, both of which he recalled fondly over the years. After the war, he attended Penn State University and was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. In 1951, he married Yvonne Kissell. Together they had 4 children. In 1967, he moved the family to Minneapolis, MN where he became Vice President of the Fruen Milling Company. From Minneapolis, he grew a career in the field of thoroughbred racehorse oats, working for ADM and ConAgra. In 1975, he became CEO and President of U.S. Grain, and in 1978 he founded and was CEO of Great Northern Grain. His products were used by the U.S. Equestrian Team and top thoroughbred racehorses around the world. He was known to be a great teller of tales, an expert map reader with deep knowledge of Pennsylvania geography and history, an experienced fly fisher and hunter, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who delighted and indulged his grandchildren with his tremendous imagination and sense of fun. His family is grateful for the attentive and devoted care of the nurses and physicians at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. His wife, Yvonne Kissell Doebler, preceded him in death. He is survived by his four children David A. Doebler III, Lura Shopteau, and Scot Doebler, all of Minneapolis, and Jennifer Doebler of Berkeley, CA, as well as 7 grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held in Pennsylvania.

She will be missed by her son, Courtney and daughter, Bridgette; grandchildren, Laura, James, and Alyseanna; and other loving family and friends. Memorials are preferred to Our Lady of Peace Home, 2076 St. Anthony Ave., St. Paul, MN 55104. Memorial service will be held at a later date in her home state of Michigan.

Born 11/21/62 in Duluth, MN and currently living in White Bear Township left us 8/16/13 to start a new life and journey under the guidance of our Lord and Father in Heaven. Entrusted with carrying on her legacy of Love, Joy and Passion are husband Ronald Denn; daughter, Katherine Tillmann; son, David Tillmann; elkhounds, Torden, Tess, Sunny and Sprout; Moose the cat; mom, Ginger McFaul; brother, David and Annette Ekholm; niece, Jennifer (Jeff) Nelson; nephew, Matt; extended family, David and Julie Denn, Lori Martin, Jennifer and Jason Houston, Jolene and Jamie Denn, Neil and Carl Martin and her many beloved friends. She will be greeted by her dad, Robert (Moose) Ekholm; her grandma, Bea Wilson; Ron's parents, Richard and Marlene Denn; and her cat Mofie. Karen loved history, reading, scrabble, travel, scuba diving, motorcycling and her convertible. Karen Loved, Laughed and Lived. She wants all of us to do the same, every single day of our lives. Remember she is watching us always and expects us to carry on her legacy. Carpe diem! Memorial service and life celebration to be held on Mon., August 26, 11AM at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 900 Stillwater Rd., Mahtomedi, MN with a gathering one hour prior at the church.

Will be missed by her sons, Jeff, Jr. (Molly) and Chuck (Niki); 5 grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Denny) DuPaul; brothers, Chuck and Clyde; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred. Memorial Service will be held this Fri. 8/23, 5:30PM at Tree of Life Assembly of God Church, 3905 Woodland Rd, Circle Pines, MN 55014, with a gathering one hour prior.
