Age 59 of North Saint Paul Loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother passed away peacefully on July 27 after a courageous battle with MS. Survived by husband, Patrick; children, Jennifer and Joel Culver; 7 grandchildren and other relatives and friends. preceded in death by parents, Donald and Dorothy Anselment and Brother, David Anselment. Visitation from 12noon to 1PM on Thursday, August 1 at Crescent Tide Funeral & Cremation, 764 Transfer Rd., St. Paul. Graveside service at Forest Lawn cemetery to follow. Beverly will be dearly missed by many.
Harden, Alexander Russell "Russ"
March 7, 1953 - July 27, 2013
Age 60 of St. Paul, MN. After more than four years of living courageously with cancer, Russ died on July 27 at his St. Paul home surrounded by love. Born 1953 in Pittsfield, MA, Russ was the son of William Reid Harden and Hope Russell O'Connell Harden. In 1967 during the "summer of love" Russ and family moved to the San Francisco area. His journey continued, leading him to study music at the University of Miami. A trombone hero, Russ performed everywhere from a small travelling circus, to major cruise lines, to backing the likes of Sammy Davis Jr, the Jacksons and Liza Minnelli. He particularly shined in his pistachio-colored leisure suit amidst the Miami disco scene and found fulfillment as a member of the Haitian Magnum Band. Russ's path included a marriage to first wife Virginia Bradley, moves to Houston, Wisconsin and finally the Twin Cities. Along the way, he learned the art and skill of piano tuning and cared for many an instrument and its owner throughout the metro area. Russ's greatest success and most powerful sense of pleasure came from his family. Daughter Molly Rose and wife Laura will forever and always carry his amazing spirit and love within them. Russ also leaves behind sisters Deborah and Jennifer Harden, brothers-in-law Andrei and David, half-sisters Sandra Greenman and Gail Schade, nieces Margaret and Laura, nephews Daniel and Reid, beloved Aunt Patty and mother-in-law Celine, in-laws, many friends and neighbors he loved as family. The world is better for his having lived. We are each better for having known him. Let us find comfort in remembering. A celebration of Russ's life will be at 11:00 am Saturday August 3 at Aldine Park in St. Paul. Age 47 of New Prague. Amy was born in St. Paul to Edward & Barbara Bohrer. She attended St. Lukes, Derham Hall HS & Loras College. Later she earned two Masters degrees, Exercise Physiology & Physical Therapy from Iowa State. She was certified in the practice of NAET & in 2010 founded Essence Healing, a private practice in wholistic health both in New Prague & Shakopee. Being a spiritual healer gave her great joy & was one of her most loving legacies. Amy's deepest love was being a mother to Katherine (21), Barbara Jean (12) & Joseph (9). Amy studied classical dance & in her teens & college years she was a gifted athlete in tennis & track. She loved her cats, coffee, the quiet of nature, music & the warmth of the sun. Her faith in God directed all of her decisions & was the source of her life. She is preceeded in death by her mother, Barbara Jean, her sister Barbara, her grandparents, & brother in law Douglas. She is survived by her children, her father Edward, siblings Steve (Ann), Jocival (Grant), Therese (Charlie), Jackie, friend & business partner Rob, many nieces, nephews, family members & friends. Funeral Service Aug. 4, 3 pm at Cretin-Derham Hall High School at 550 S. Albert Street, St. Paul. Memorials preferred to her children's educational fund.

Age 93 of Maple Grove, long-time resident of Golden Valley. passed away peacefully on July 25, 2013. preceded in death by his wife, Marian. Schenck, Evonne Marie (nee Scholes)

On Tuesday, July 23, Mom earned her angel wings and ascended to be with her heavenly father. There to greet her will be her husband Erdman, and her son Todd Salden. Parents Harvey and Edith Scholes, Sister Merna Lea and her husband Everett Taft. Family and friends that have gone on before her, including her first husband Lawrence Salden. No moss ever grew under Mom's feet! She raised 4 children, was a Girl Scout Leader, an active volunteer, and a wonderful grandmother. She worked for C.H. Carpenter Lumber for 38 years as an accountant and enjoyed the many trades people she met there. Mom was a devoted member of Nativity of Mary Church in Bloomington, MN. In the last few years, she and Erd became members of Christ the King Church in Edina, MN. Mom and Erd enjoyed many happy years together. They danced in many events around the country. They enjoyed hosting family, friends, and neighbors at their homes in Edina and Mesa, AZ. Mom and Erd were always up for a new adventure and greeted each day with excitement in asking each other "what should we do today?" They did a lot of traveling, often trips which included driving a few hours to find interesting places to eat. Mom is lovingly remembered by her three daughters Laurie (Todd) Wilkening, Cherie Salden and Nancy (Steve) Beiersdorf. Her Sister Shyrl Peterson. Grandsons Collin, Nicholas and Justin Beiersdorf and Paul (Jessica) Goodin. They were very involved with the grandkids, including school and sporting events. My Mom was so proud when Collin described them as "awesome" at school on Grandparents day. She is also survived by Erd's family. Brother Lee (June) Schenck. Sons Ray, Steven (Sharon),and David (Shannon). Grandchildren Jennifer (Robert) Darchuk, Heather, Rebecca and Max Schenck. A celebration of Mom's life will be held on Thursday, August 1st at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5029 Zenith Avenue, Edina, MN. Visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M. Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. with a luncheon to follow. Interment at Lakewood cemetery, 3600 Hennepin Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN at approximately 1:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that anyone wishing to do so may make a donation to the American Lung Association or Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis. The family of Evonne wishes to thank her loving neighbors at The Laterns and the caring staff at Fairview Hospice and Home Health Care Inc. whom collectively enabled Mom to live at home until her passing.
