Age 66, of Minneapolis, who wrote under the pen name of "Margaret Frazer", passed away on Monday night at the age of 66. She is survived by her two sons, Justin Alexander and Seth Gupton; her loving daughters-in-law, and the enduring legacy of her award-winning and nationally bestselling novels and stories. Twenty years ago, Frazer's first novel - The Novice's Tale - was published the same summer that she was first diagnosed with breast cancer. She published her twenty-fifth novel - The Circle of Witches - last December at a time when she was struggling with the fifth recurrence of the cancer. She fought long, she fought stubbornly, and she refused to be defined by the disease which ultimately claimed her life. In her work, she sought the unique pleasure of thoroughly exploring the otherwhen and otherwhere. Frazer grew up in Kewanee, IL, the daughter of Fred and Grace Brown. Her father was a labor attorney and later mayor; her mother was a proud homemaker. Frazer discovered a love of theater and her future husband with the Genesius Guild in Rock Island, IL. She appeared in theatrical productions throughout her life, including essentials roles on the Guthrie Stage and most recently as part of the Complete Readings of William Shakespeare with the American Shakespeare Repertory. She will be interred at Prairie Oaks Memorial Eco Gardens in Inver Grove Heights, MN, amidst the nature and vast open vistas that she loved so dearly during her life. On February 8th there will be a Visitation at 11 AM and a memorial service at 12 PM at the Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel (1 Federal Drive, Minneapolis). Donations in memorial to Heifer International. (driving directions). Interment to follow at Prairie Oaks Memorial Eco-Gardens in Inver Grove Heights.

Age 56, of River Falls, Wis., born in Superior on Nov. 11, 1956, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Feb. 4, 2013, at at United Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn. He was a conductor for C.P. Railway for 34 years. Jeff is survived by his wife of 35 years Dorene, his three sons Jason (Karen), Adam, and Dustin Koski; his brothers Greg and Larry; his sisters-in-law Mary and Julie Koski, Dianne and Mary Stusek, and Brenda Stratton; his brothers-in-law Bud and Ed Stusek; father-in-law, Bernard Stusek. Jeff was preceded in death by father, Emil Koski, and mother, Elaine Taylor Koski. Age 72 of Norht Minneapolis. Proud member of the B.P.M. Motorcycle Club for 46 years. Sadly, he passed away surrounded by his family and friends, losing his battle with cancer too soon. preceded in death by parents, Ed & Alyce. Survived by loving wife of 38 years, Sherri; sons, Todd & Jeffrey (Christina); daughter, Tammie; stepsons, Terry & Troy; grandchildren, Jeremy, Thomas, Sian, Asia, Tyler, Brandon, Marissa; great-grandchild, Adrian; brother, Jerry (Judy); niece, Krista and her boys Brandon & Kingston; many other loving relatives and friends. His passion was the club and the biker life that came with it, but also loved racing stock cars at the local tracks earning the nickname "Harvey Wallbanger." Corky and his cigar will be sadly missed by many. Memorials to the family. Age 85 of White Bear Lake, departed on Oct.1, 2014. Ed had a distinguished career in hospital administration and consulting highlighted by service on various church and hospital boards, and punctuated by charitable work overseas. A graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Hospital Administration, his career included various leadership positions in hospitals and consulting firms in St. Paul and Minneapolis, MN. In 1963-65 he supervised construction of a hospital in Phoebe Liberia, for the Lutheran Board of World Missions, accompanied by his wife, Marlys and his children Betsy, David and Suzie. In 1991-92 he represented Project Hope to negotiate construction of a pediatric hospital in Shanghai, China. In 1992, Ed and Marlys retired to Brookings, SD, where he continued working for about 10 more years with various hospitals and clinics. He is survived by wife, Marlys; children, Betsy (David Thorson), David (Gloria), and Suzie (Steve Pagel); grandchildren, Tague, Sonja and Berit Thorson, Alex Nelson, Dan (Kathleen) and Chris Babich; and great granddaughter Brynn Babich; sister, Martha Swenson; and many other loving family and friends. Services will be held in Brookings, SD. Memorials should be donated to Alzheimer's research.
