Delia M. Stai, age 79 of Rush City, MN, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2014 at her home. She suffered a long battle with lung and brain cancer.
preceded in death by husband, Marvin B. Stai; daughter, Brenda Stai; and grandson, Benjamin Ernest Stai. Survived by long-time companion, Bob Peach; son, Marvin Stai Jr. (Candy); daughter, Vickie Granat (Charles); three granddaughters, Tasha Stai, Cortney Granat, and Sidney Granat; grandson, Jeremy Hayhurst. She will be loved and missed dearly.
Delia will be buried with her husband during a private interment at Ft. Snelling National cemetery.

Thank you for all of your prayers, to his loving and caring family members, our thoughtful friends, and to Our Lady of Peace. Roger adored his grandchildren and loved the cabin, his friends there, and being a mower man. In Roger's honor remember him at his best and hold those memories close to your heart. Celebration of Life Service at First Evangelical Free Church, 2696 Hazelwood St., Maplewood, on May 2 at 11AM with gathering 1 hour prior and luncheon to follow.

Age 88 of Inver Grove Heights. Surrounded by family and sounds of the birds she loved, Doris entered Eternal Life Apr. 25, 2014. preceded in death by husband, Kenneth; parents Alma and Otto Peterman; siblings Henry, Evelyn, Edgar, Harold, Helen, Marcella, Mariam, Lorna and Grace. Born in Carver County; baptized at Trinity Lutheran, Waconia; married at the tender age of 16; with husband Ken (Dick), she raised chickens and produce for the Farmer's Market, owned and operated Campbell's Country House restaurant in the 50's and 60's, served at the Old Log Theater, raised raspberries, went fishing, gardened and enjoyed her family. Survived by children Carol (Dale) Nibbe, Kenneth Lyle (Miriam), Wayne (Gladys), Linda, Bonnie (Richard); grandchildren Dan, Melissa, Elizabeth, Kenneth Ian, Charlotte, Nathan and Nicholas; great grandchildren Brianna and Emily. Faithful member of Emanuel Lutheran Church over 70 years, generous with her baking, dill pickles, violets, and time. Memorial Service held Apr. 27, 2014. Interment Church cemetery.

Age 88 of Roseville. Beloved Wife, Mother, and Nana Dottie passed away peacefully after a brief illness on April 22, 2014. preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, George "Bud" Merrill. Born in Suring, WI, Dottie lived in Shawano, WI until moving to St. Paul with her mate for life in 1950. Dottie is survived by her children, Patti (Dean) Palmer, Bill (Dalene) Merrill, Barb (Jerry )Schloegel, and Jim Merrill; grandchildren, Austin Merrill, Joe (Jamie) Schloegel, Kirsten (Andy) Hahn, and Jessica Schloegel (fiancé Chad Reisner); great-grandchildren, Brennan & Violet Schloegel; sister Margie Graff, sister-in-law Carol Meyer, and many nieces and nephews. Dottie loved to bowl, golf, and garden. She was also a long-time member of the American Legion Auxilliary, Rosetown Unit 542, serving as President of Rosetown and later as President of the 4th District. Volunteer activities included counselor for Girl's State, visits to the VA hospital, and the Auxilliary Annual Fall Fashion Show. Her time as Chaplain of the Rosetown Unit and the 4th District was very important to her. Dottie was a longtime parishoner at St. Odilia Church. She was the Membership chairman for the Council of Catholic Women and volunteered for many CCW functions. She particularly enjoyed doing the readings at the 5:00 p.m. Saturday mass. Please join the Merrill family for mass on Saturday, May 3, at 5:00 p.m. Prior to mass, the CCW will say the rosary in memory of our Mom at 4:30 p.m. in the chapel. St. Odilia Church, 3495 Victoria St. N., Shoreview, MN 55126. In lieu of flowers, donations to Our Lady of Peace Hospice, 2076 St. Anthony Ave., St. Paul, MN 55104, would be greatly appreciated.

McCormick, Susan Elmyra (nee Beiger)
April 10, 1921 - April 22, 2014
Susan died of natural causes at the age of 93. She was born in Dubuque, IA and spent most of her adult life in Storm Lake, IA. She moved to White Bear Lake in 2007 and was a resident of Cerenity Assisted Living. She loved music, golfing, painting and playing with her cat, Iris. Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph and her sister, Rosemary Eldridge. She is survived by son, Mike McCormick (Joan) and daughter, Jody McCormick (Brett Smith). A service in celebration of Susan's life will be Saturday, May 3rd at 10 AM at the chapel in the Cerenity Care Center, 1891 Florence St., White Bear Lake. A graveside service will be held at St. Mary's cemetery in Storm Lake, IA on May 28th at 2 PM. Memorials preferred to Cerenity Residence of White Bear Lake to be used toward music programs and activities for the assisted living residents.

Loyal employee of Denny's 5th Ave Bakery for 37 years and 35 Year member with the Knights of Columbus. preceded in death by parents, John and Marion Mangen, Maryann (sister) and Robert (brother). Survived by brothers Dennis (Linda), Jeffrey (Karen), Donald (Shelley), John (Brenda), and Michael (Angela). He is also survived by nieces Karly, Heather, Allison, and Caitlin; nephews Jeremy, Jesse, Donny, Jeffrey, Zachary and Kayden. Funeral service April 30, 2014 at Church of Corpus Christi, 2131 Fairview Ave. N., Roseville, MN. Visitation 9 AM, Mass 10 AM, Luncheon to follow. Memorials preferred to Our Lady of Peace Hospice St. Paul, MN.

Moen, Martha Ingeborg (nee Karlson)
May 24, 1941 - April 18, 2014
Age 95 of Columbia Heights, MN, gently left this world after living a long, loving, meaningful life. She was born on November 25th, 1918 in Bristol, SD to Karl and Magda Karlson. She grew up in Bristol, and graduated from high school in 1938. Martha moved to Minneapolis, MN in 1939 where she worked at the Bemis Bag company. She met her loving husband of 60 years at a dance at Norway Hall in 1941. After WWll they married and lived in South Minneapolis before buying a house in Columbia Heights in 1956, where they raised their 3 children, Ronald, Janice and Larry. She worked part time as a cook at Nelson elementary school before becoming a fulltime homemaker and a part time sales person of Stanley cleaning products. She was an involved member of First Lutheran Church and a musician in the Uffda Band. Cooking holiday meals, Swedish meatballs, rice pudding and cinnamon bread for friends and family brought her happiness. And she would always put on a pot of coffee and serve her home made cookies for any one who stopped by for a visit. She was the loving Grand- mother to granddaughters Julie and Sarah and grandsons Brent, Jay, Sean, Kristopher and a devoted Great Grandmother to Michaela, Micah, Connor, Amanda, Madeline, Abby and Ellie. preceded in death by husband Joseph and daughter Janice, parents Karl and Magda Karlson, brothers Karl, Kenneth and Phillip. She is survived by her sons, Ronald Moen (Roberta), Larry Moen (Diane), and son-in-law, Michael Hancock. Funeral service will be at First Lutheran Church, 1555 40th Ave. NE, Columbia Heights on Thursday, April 24th at 11 AM with a visitation one hour prior. Interment at Ft. Snelling. In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Lutheran Church of Columbia Heights or The Janice Hancock Nursing Memorial Scholarship at North Hennepin Community College 7411 85th Avenue N, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445. .
