She is survived by her loving husband, Steven; daughter, Franchesca; three stepsons, Aaron, Ben, and Matthew; and also by her family in Lima, Peru: mother, Margarita; sisters, Rosa, Lucy, Virginia, Theresa, Cesi and Rita; and her brother, Yuri. Her smile and presence will be forever missed. Memorial service will be held at Praise Christian Center, 4100 Douglas Dr., Crystal, MN on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 3 PM.

Freeman, Wardell "Sonny"

Age 57 of St. Paul. Wardell was born to the union of Dora L. Freeman and Tom McLin, who both preceeded him in death, along with one sister, Lillian Ann Freeman Jefferson. Wardell gave his life to Christ at an early age. He attended John Fisk Elementary School and then Martin Luther King, Jr. High School, both in Chicago, IL. Wardell was a very outgoing, friendly, fun-loving, outspoken jokester. To know him was to love him. If you met him once, you would have felt as if he had known you for a lifetime. Wardell leaves to cherish his loving memory son, Wardell L. Wilson of Chicago; daughter, Lynette Jefferson of St. Paul; brother, Ronnie (Arlene) Freeman; sisters, Denise Nevilles of Kankakee, IL, and Delsiaca (Steven) Hicks of Rantoul, IL; nephews, Nashawn Nevilles, Damian Freeman, Jonathan Wade, Devalon Keys, all of Kankakee, IL, and Steven Hicks of Rantoul, IL; nieces, Danielle (Day Day) Moten, Delsiaca (Mitchell) Wade-Taylor, Rikkiana Keys, all of Kankakee, IL, Denisha Davis of Danville, IL, Mavrionna Brown of Urbanna, IL, and Ania Hicks of Rantoul, IL; eight great-nieces; seven great-nephews; a host of family and friends; along with extended family from previous relationships that he loved and cherish always.

Age 83 of Inver Grove Heights. Memorial service Saturday, November 20, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Chapel Hill Church, 4888 Pilot Knob Rd., Eagan, MN 55112. Interment at Fort Snelling National cemetery.

Donovan, Brian Greenwood
September 22, 1939 - November 20, 2013
Age 74 of Minneapolis, beloved brother of Richard Donovan, brother-in-law of Susan, and cherished friend, died November 20 from complications of a heart attack. Brian was an English professor, film aficionado, and gifted raconteur. His knowledge of movies was encyclopedic, and friends recall his hilarious, often self-deflating stories. Born in Rochester, NY, Brian attended Hamilton College; the Sorbonne; the University of California, Berkeley; and the University of Minnesota, where he earned his PhD. A remembrance for family and friends will be held at the home of Richard and Gaida Quinn in St. Paul, Sunday, Nov. 24, at noon.

Age 72 of White Bear Lake, was called home by the Lord on 11/20/13. He was an exceptional loving husband, father, and grandfather. preceded in death by parents Jack and Delores (Toots) and sister Patsy. Survived by loving wife Janice; brothers Pat and Gerald; 7 children; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Services will be held at Eagle Brook Church (WBL campus) on Tuesday November 26 at 11am with visitation at 10 am.

O'Donnell, Wendy Leigh (nee Sikorski)
November 4, 1949 - November 19, 2013
Age 64 of Maplewood, MN, passed away peacefully Nov. 19, 2013. A skilled seamstress and avid reader, Wendy also had an ear for the latest trends in music. Her greatest passion was for people, particularly her granddaughter Savannah, with whom "Grandma" enjoyed many adventures in addition to sharing her greatest measure of love, affection and daily dedication. Wendy was preceded in death by her father, James Sikorski. She is survived by her mother, Florence Sikorski; brother, Michael Sikorski (Katherine); children, Shaun, Kelly Davis (Bruce), Lindsey (Josh), Kevin (Abby) and Maggie, and grandchildren, Connor, Savannah and Brandon. Memorial service to be held 3:30-5:30 pm on Sunday, Nov. 24 at St. Odilia Church, 3495 N. Victoria St., Shoreview, MN. Age 88 of Minneapolis, passed away November 18, 2013. Uva was an artist, knitter, long time Mayflower and Southside Singers Choir Member, traveler, and loving mother. preceded in death by son, John; granddaughter, Heather; and great granddaughter, Sarah. Survived by children: Kathleen (Tim), Roger, Amy (Marc) and daughter-in-law, Penny; grandchildren: Brooke and Oliver; great grandchildren: Jessica, Eric and Kristen; siblings: Harold, Lois, Patty, and Mike. Memorial Service Saturday, December 7, 10 a.m. at Mayflower Congregational Church, 106 E. Diamond Lake Rd, Minneapolis.

Age 85 of Andover, MN. passed away peacefully at home on November 16 surrounded by family. Served in the Marines during WWII and later promoted to Sargent. preceded in death by wife, Joyce. Survived by daughter Joan and son Paul (Donna); 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and other family and friends. Graveside service at Fort Snelling on Friday, December 6th at 12:45pm with a gathering at Paul and Donna's following.

Age 61 of Fridley, MN passed away on 11/12/13. Born in Springfield, MA. David grew up in Enfield, Connecticut. He was always known as a hardworking man. He was a Boston RedSox and New England Patriots fan. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and music. David is much loved and will forever be missed but never be forgotten. preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Bernice Tracy; and brother, Douglas Tracy. Survived by his son, David Tracy Jr (DJ) and daughter Laura Fourniea , son-in-law, Jeff Fourniea and 2 grand-daughters, Stephanie and Katelyn. Also survived by brothers, Gene Tracy (wife Carla), Glenn Tracy, and Darryl Tracy (wife Lori); and sisters, Ethalyn Daunis (husband, Douglas) and Corinne Tracy, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. The family wishes to express their profound thanks to the medical staff at Mercy Hospital for their care and support during David’s final days.

Age 59 of St. Paul. "Our Gentle Giant" passed away peacefully November 11th, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family and friends. preceded in death by a faithful and loving mother, Bernette; and his father, Earl; and brothers, Earl "Tom" and David. Survived by the love of his life and long time companion Maureen; sons, Donald Jr. and Brandon Vossberg; granddaughters, Angel and Amber; siblings, Robert (Joyce), Rose, Gerald (Joanne), George (Kathryn), Charles, Gordon (Patty) and Richard. Don will be missed by many of his caring and devoted family members and friends. Don was proud that he grew up in So. St. Paul and spent most of his life in St. Paul. He was dignified in his many occupations, youth coordinator; "Fresh French Fries" number one potato hauler, best darn Pioneer Press delivery man, coach, and devoted senior member of Monarch Bus Company. Long time resident of Highland Park and of Lumen Christi Catholic Community. Don could light up a room with his smile and presence. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to give the shirt off his back and open his home to many. He is known for his "fuchsia" Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He loved hockey and was proud of his son's accomplishments at CDH and beyond. He was a proud papa. Don's life will be celebrated with an open house at Tinucci's Restrauant in Newport, MN on Sunday, December 1st, 2013 from 4 - 7pm with dinner served and memories shared. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place the first weekend in January, 2014 at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, 2055 Bohland Ave, St. Paul with hour visitation prior and interment following at Resurrection cemetery. A special thanks to Monarch Bus Company and the enormous outpouring of everyone who has supported us through out our great loss. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.

Age 81 of Lakeville, MN. Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, at age 81 Died peacefully with children surrounding her on November 10th, 2013. preceded in death by husband Robert L Shafer. Survived by children Catherine Behrendt, Robyn (Jeff) Monroe, Jay, Julie Mosca, Robert (Jane), Tim (Cheryl), Kristine (Paul) Yager. Also so dear to her heart, her 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial 12:30 Saturday at the church of St. Patrick, 3535 72nd street IGH. Visitation at 11:30am prior to Mass at church. Burial Monday 10 am at St. Peter's Church cemetery in Mendota Heights.

Krause, Terrance Beverly "Terry" (formerly Gruver)

Age 80 of Cold Spring, MN, loving wife of Wayne Backman of Cold Spring, MN, died on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Saint Cloud, Hospital. Terry was born on May 15, 1933 in a log cabin at Molly Lake near Burtrum, MN, where her parents owned and operated Krause's Berry Farm and Maple Syrup. It was there that she met her neighbor, lifelong best friend Beverly Seabloom (Norris). She completed high school in Grey Eagle, College at St. Cloud Teacher's College and taught elementary and pre-school for many years especially at St. Cloud University Campus Lab School. Earlier, in the 1960s she was the first director of the Head Start program in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was always a strong advocate for civil rights. She later studied for her post graduate education at the College of St. Benedict and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She served as principal of a school in the Wisconsin Dells. In her recent years, she retired, lived in Sauk Center and Cold Spring. She was an active member of the community and volunteered with the Democratic Party and the Stearns County Historical Society. She served as president and was an active member of the St. Cloud Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and was an avid member of Master Gardeners. She was proceeded in death by her parents Beulah (Fearing) and Clifford Krause. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Backman, brother Charles D. Krause (Phyllis), son Cyle D. Gruver (Jan M. Waller), daughter Mary L Gruver-Volpe (Eugene A. Volpe), niece Debbie Krause, nephew David Krause and many other family members and dear friends. Celebration of life Friday, Nov. 15, 10:00 am at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 3226 Maine Prairie Rd, St. Cloud, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Saint Cloud or the Stearns County Historical Society are preferred.
