Age 98 of Roseville, peacefully passed away June 7, 2015. A quiet, thoughtful man, Cliff lived a long, satisfying life. Having served as a naval mechanic in WWII, Cliff became an industrial engineer with a keen eye for detail. He retired from FMC in 1982. He enjoyed many interests, was an accomplished photographer, avid music collector, skilled guitarist, and a southpaw with a good fast ball. Late nights would find him playing with his favorite combo, entertaining the crowd. On Sunday morning he'd join church musicians bringing a bit of jazz on his electric guitar. His biscuits and gravy made the best breakfast you could eat. He will be missed by all, especially by his wife of 58 years, Eva, daughter Terrianne, daughter Anita, son Ken, and sons-in-law Kirk and Jim. His grandchildren Peter, John, Amy, Erica, and Max would like one more breakfast biscuit. His several great-grandchildren wish to have known him better. Visitation, Wednesday, June 10th, 2pm at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 4101 Washington St NE, Columbia Hts. Service to follow at 3pm. Age 97 of St. Paul,passed away peacefully on June 5, 2015. preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Francis (Tom) M. Tompkin and sister, Isobell Goodwin. Survived by daughters, Lorraine E. Scholz (Kurt) & Frances Tompkins; grandchildren, Steven & Jessica Scholz, Nicole & Michelle Ranallo. Lorraine was a graduate of the College of St. Catherine’s nursing program. Even though her nursing career was short lived, due to a growing family, Lorraine was an active participant in St. Kate’s scholarship program to help other students pursue their education. Lorraine was an avid card player with Bridge being her passion. She was in many Bridge clubs over the years, was a holder of Masters Points, and was able to enjoy this pastime almost to the end. She freely volunteered her time for many activities such as PTA, Camp Fire Girls, and other charitable organizations and served as a Judge of Election. Lorraine was also a world traveler and was planning her next adventure before returning from her last trip. Interment at Fort Snelling, June 26, 2015, Assembly Area #1, 11:50AM. Age 86 of St. Paul and formerly of Eden Prairie. Died peacefully June 4, 2015 with her daughters at her side. preceded in death by husband of nearly 60 years, Alby; parents, Henry & Adele; and brothers, Gary and DuWayne. Survived by daughters. Joni and Susan; brother, Lance Nelson; sisters, Kathleen Shellito & Greta Fauglid; and extended family and friends. Jan was born April 25, 1929 in Wolverton, MN. She grew up on a farm outside of Comstock, MN. She graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, with a degree in English and Physical Education, and remained a proud "Cobber" her whole life. Jan taught at Fertile High School, where she caught the eye of Alby Leithe, who fell for the pretty teacher taking her students past his house to the county fairgrounds for their Phy. Ed. class. In 1954 they wed in Minneapolis after he proposed to her in a potato field, saying she had to come with him to the big city. They lived briefly in Minneapolis, and Ardmore, PA, then spent 16 years in Roseville, MN, and 36 years in Eden Prairie, MN. Most recently they lived at Lyngblomsten Care Center. Jan's athleticisim was shown in softball, basketball, bowling, and her faith in her active church life. She enjoyed a second career as manager of Fanny Farmer Candies in the Eden Prairie Center. Jan was a great storyteller and letter writer. She enjoyed reading, gardening and caring for her cats and dogs. Most of all, she simply loved being with people. She saw the humor in everything. She will be deeply missed for her beautiful smile, her sly wit, her unfailing patience and kindness, and the love she showered on us, not so much with words, as with thoughtful, innumerable deeds. Special thanks to the skilled staff at Lyngblomsten and the Allina hospice team for their loving and tender care of our mother. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Concordia College, Moorhead, MN or Lyngblomsten Foundation. Age 81 of Roseville. passed away on May 29, 2015 Born June 6, 1933 in Ironwood MI. Proceeded in death by Brothers Myron & Donald and Carrie Ann Andersen. Survived by Sister Joan (George) Jarrett. His children, Doug Jr, Bill, Chris (Shawney). Doug will be missed by the love of his life, Jan, and her children, Michael, Shannon, Todd (Dee) Andersen, Heather (Tim) McNeely and Grandchildren. Doug attended St. Johns, UMD and William Mitchell College of Law. After retiring from law he became the owner of The Corner Coffee House in Little Canada, where he and his wife Jan made lifelong friends and created many amazing memories. A memorial service will be held at North Heights Lutheran church 2701 Rice, Roseville, June 4, with visitation at 1:30pm and service at 3:00pm "Don't forget to write"

Age 93 of Roseville. Beloved Mother and Friend died peacefully of natural causes at her home on May 29, 2015, as her pastor prayed at her bedside. Irene Marion was born on March 22, 1922, in Mohall, North Dakota, to George and Annie Osterberg. Her elder sister, Inez and brother, Milton, have preceded her in death. Irene grew up in Minneapolis and was graduated from South High School in 1940. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Minneapolis where she was confirmed and, eventually, married
to the love of her life, Elwood "El" Roettger on February 22, 1946. Irene attended Cayton Business College. She worked at Brown and Bigelow through the war years while Elwood served in the Army Air Corps as a B-17 tail gunner for the Flying Tigers, and then as a navigator on a B-29. After Irene and El wed, they remained in the Twin Cities area until El was transferred by his employer, NW Bell Telephone Company, to Brainerd, where their first child, son Gary Jay, was born in 1950. Their last transfer settled them in St. Paul, where son Bradley Allen was born in 1953. Irene, was well-known for extending cheerful hospitality to their many frequent visitors, from their extended family to all of her sons' friends. When her beloved sister died, Irene embraced her young nephew, Jim Walsh, with great motherly affection. In 1970, after her own sons were grown, Irene began working for Pentair, Inc., as their first corporate secretary. In 1979, she and El both retired and enjoyed traveling around the USA, wintering in Arizona, until 1983, when Elwood died from cancer. In December of 1987, Irene remarried
to a high school sweetheart, Don Nichols, until his death in 1995. Irene's other home was the family cabin on Cedar Lake in Wisconsin, where she spent many happy hours entertaining friends and relatives for over forty years. Since 1956, she has belonged to Como Park Lutheran Church, St. Paul, where her memorial service will be held on August 22, 2015, at 10:30 AM. Interment at Sunset Memorial Park cemetery will be at a later date. She is survived by her two sons, Gary (wife, Gayle), and Bradley (wife, Debra); grandchildren, Justin and Kaylee (Brad's), Jessica and Michael (Gary's), her sole surviving sister-in-law, Betty Phares, cousins and numerous nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Lastly, her family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Jan Richardson, "Dr." Moe, MaryKay, Kim, Mollie, Anna and Gail, Irene's "Dream Team" from Allina Hospice.
