Survived by his children, Scott (Janel), Lynn (Kelly) Klein, Kevin (Jane), and Mark; 9 beloved grandchildren & 3 beloved great-grandchildren; siblings, Lucille, Robert, and Lois; many loving family members and friends. Allen worked for the University of Minnesota for 54 years in the Physics & Astronomy Department. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the Autism Society of MN. Memorial Mass will be held Tue., August 11, 10:30AM at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, 129-29th Ave NE, Minneapolis, MN, with a gathering one hour prior at church.

Age 63 of Maplewood, MN started her journey on July 30, 2015. preceded in death by mother, Helen West; sisters, Linda Morgan & Lydia Jolly; and beloved daughter, Wendy Uselton. Survived by her loving husband and companion of over 50 years, David; sons, Scott and Jeremy (Jessica); siblings, Jan (Ken), Barb, Judy (Larry), Julie, Curt (Kim), Mark, Carson, Gary (Mitzi); grandchildren, Hope, Paige, Taylor, Tanner, Kevin, Shelby, Noah, Hayden; great-grandchild, Camden and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Bev’s greatest joy in life was being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her family would like to extend their appreciation for all the support of family and friends who have helped during these difficult times. A special thank you to the Ho-Chunk Nation for their generosity. A Mass to Celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, 8/18 at 10:30AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2119 Stillwater Ave E., St. Paul. Visitation one hour prior followed by lunch and burial. Age 80 of Roseville. Died peacefully, July 28, 2015, surrounded by his family. Tom taught in the University of Minnesota’s Department of Plant Biology for 38 years. His teaching excellence was recognized by a number of awards, including a departmental award, the Horace T. Morse Alumni Association Award, and the President’s Award for Outstanding Service. Tom sang tenor in the Minnesota Chorale during its inaugural season and served as one of its early presidents of the board. An accomplished musician, Tom’s love of music led him to direct the North Como Presbyterian church choir for 35 years. He served on its Session at a time when women were seeking ordination as pastors and he participated in several ordination services for them. Tom achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. His love of bird watching led to many years of involvement with the Wisconsin Society of Ornithology (WSO), beginning in high school. His activities included years of organizing bird censuses, publishing a paper in its journal, The Passenger Pigeon, while still a student, and serving as a seasonal editor of the journal for many decades. Tom was recognized for his lifelong contributions to WSO, which awarded him the Silver Passenger Pigeon Award and Certificate of Appreciation. He held the record for the most birds seen in one year in the state of Wisconsin on more than one occasion. Tom is survived by his wife, Marillyn Soulen; children, Karen Wasiluk , Sarah Sabetti (Dean Sabetti), Peter Soulen; brother, Richard Soulen (Renate Soulen); cousins Bonnie Keast and Nancy Adrian; grandchildren, John Wasiluk, Anne Wasiluk, Maria Sabetti, and Kristina Sabetti. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made in Tom’s name to the Wisconsin Society of Ornithology, either online at wsobirds.org or addressed to Treasurer, Wisconsin Society of Ornithology,11923 West Bender Road, Milwaukee, WI 53225. A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1200 South Marquette Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55403.

Born July 20, 1941 in St. Paul, MN. Graduate of Pine City High School. Retired from US. Post Office. Knute believed there was a greeting card published for any occasion and he gifted his friends and family with many cards. He had a distinct laugh that was easily brought forth. Knute came to love and trust his Lord and was a dedicated member of his church, Salem Lutheran. His Christian Funeral will take place on Saturday, August 8 at 10:45 a.m. at Salem Lutheran, 14940 62nd St. No. Stillwater, MN. Memorials preferred to Salem Lutheran Church and Lakeview Hospice. Age 84 of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on July 26th, 2015 surrounded by loved ones. Arden was born August 3, 1930 to Ernest and Emma (Fredrich) Jahnke in Gibbon, MN. Arden and wife, Harriet raised their family in NE Minneapolis where he worked the majority of his career at Soo Line Railroad and Advance United Trucking Company. They moved to Pequot Lakes where they owned and operated the Pequot Motel until retiring to their lake home on Little Pelican Lake. Arden was preceded in death by parents; brother, Don; sister-in-law, Helaine Litzau; and brother-in-law, Gene Litzau. Survived by wife, Harriet (Schuette); sons, Randy (Marilynn), Russell, Rick (Vera Woolery) and Robert; daughters, Diane (Kirby) Jahnke-Miller, Dawn Dziuk, and Rebecca (Joseph) Nielsen; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Harvey Schuette; sisters-in-law, Carla Schuette, Gert Jahnke; and many nieces and nephews.
