Kristi Crowley, 43, of Madelia, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000 at her home.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Madelia, with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Madelia.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at St. Mary's Social Hall and 9-10:15 a.m. Saturday.
Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia, is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Jessica Louise Grothe of New York City and Megan Marie Grothe of Austin; parents, Leighton and Louise Johnson of Albert Lea; brother, Ray Johnson and wife Diane Landis of St. Paul; sister, Kim Johnson of St. Paul; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts and uncles.
She was born Dec. 6, 1956, in Madison, S.D., to Leighton and Louise (Westerbur) Johnson. She grew up in Holland, Minn. and Benson, where she graduated from high school in 1975. She attended Augsburg College, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, and Sister Mary Rosland School of Massage Therapy, from which she graduated in 1994. She worked as a massage therapist. She married John Crowley on Dec. 16, 1999, in St. James. They lived in rural Madelia. She was a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.

Lillian Peterson, 92, of Mankato, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Mankato House Health Care Center.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Mankato Mortuary, with burial in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
Visitation is one hour prior to services Saturday at the mortuary.
She is survived by nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, six sisters and three brothers.
She was born Oct. 24, 1907, in New Ulm, to Rudolph and Emma (Strate) Alwin. She attended school in New Ulm. She married Herbert Peterson in 1942 in Antroch, Calif. She worked with the United States Department of Agriculture in Iowa and Mankato. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, where she was attendance secretary. She was also a member of A.A., the 5th Ave. Club and the Mankato American Legion Auxiliary.

Marjorie P. Walters, 65, of Comfrey, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at her home.
Services are 1:30 p.m., Saturday, at St. Paul's Church, Comfrey, with burial at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Springfield.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today, and 7:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, at Sturm Funeral Home Chapel, Comfrey, and at the church Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her husband, LeRoy "Swede" Walters of Comfrey; daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Jon Anderson of Springfield; Kathy and Cletus Hillesheim of Sanborn; sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Sheryl Walters of Granite Falls, and Dana and Patti Walters of Coon Rapids; nine grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Mary Ann Prechel; sisters and brothers-in-law, Yvonne and Lester Schuelke of Richland Center, Wis., Marion and Kay Satterlie of Evansville; June and Lowell Plagge of Young America; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was born July 24, 1934, in Springfield to Louis and Lydia (Wendt) Prechel. She married LeRoy Walters on Sept. 11, 1954 in Comfrey. She completed the practical nurses training program at Union Hospital in New Um, and she worked at the Comfrey Hospital. She recently worked at Coast to Coast in Springfield, and Schneider Drug in Comfrey. She was a former member of the Salem Lutheran, a current member of Hope Lutheran church. She sang in the church choir and Comfrey Community Choir.

Edward Ganske, 92, of Sleepy Eye, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000 at Sleepy Eye Municipal Hospital.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-9 p.m. today and 7:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. There will be a C.O.F. rosary at 4 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home today.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Donna and Leo Schlumpberger of Waconia, Judith and William Gotschall of Excelsior, and Joyce and Bruce Van den Berghe of Inver Grove Heights; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beatrice in 1995; sisters, Gertrude, Maime, Margaret and Leona; and brothers, John, Leonard and Peter.
He was born June 18, 1907, in Home Township, Brown County, to Frederick and Mary (Kuelbs) Ganske. He attended school at rural district 17 and St. Mary's Grade School. He married Beatrice Steffl on June 4, 1936, in Sleepy Eye. They lived at the Ganske homestead until 1970, when they retired and moved to Sleepy Eye. He was a charter member of the first rural 4-H club in Home Township. He was custodian and groundskeeper of the Home Booster Club House of Home Township for six years. He was a past member of the Brown County American Dairy Association, the National Holstein Friesian Society and the Dairy Herd Improvement Association. He was treasurer of District 17 schools for 21 years until it was disbanded in 1962. He was on the board of directors of Farmer's Creamery Company, Sleepy Eye. He was an adult 4-H leader and a member of the Brown County Historical Society. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. He served on the St. Mary's Centennial Committee in 1976 and did volunteer work for various church projects.

Florence 'Cookie' Willroth, 92, of Gibbon died Tuesday, Feb., 22, 2000, at Arlington Municipal Hospital.
Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 11:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon.
Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Vernon Langhorst of Alma, Wis.; grandchildren, Brian Langhorst and his wife Sara of Alma, Wis., and Chad Langhorst of Maple Grove; a brother and sister-in-law, Andrew E. Pettis and his wife Opal of Redwood Falls; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Waldo Willroth in 1987; six brothers; and five sisters.
She was born June 14, 1907, in Emmet Township, Renville County to Harvey and Ida (Shaller) Pettis. She married Waldo Willroth on March 28, 1941, in Lafayette. They farmed in the Gibbon area until moving into Gibbon in 1943. She worked as a waitress in the Gibbon area, including at the Gibbon Ballroom, for many years. She was a member of the Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon.

Loretta B. Klinker, 94, of Foley, and formerly of Fairfax, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at the Foley Nursing Center in Foley.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Shepherd of the Pines Lutheran Church in Rice, Minn. with burial at 2 p.m. at Fort Ridgely Cemetery in rural Fairfax.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, and one hour before services at the church.
She was born June 9, 1905, in Bandon Township, Renville County, to Fred and Freida (Schroeder) Grams. She grew up and attended school in rural Renville County. She married Henry Klinker May 12, 1926, in Fairfax. They farmed in rural Fairfax until 1930. They lived in Fairfax and Little Falls. She worked in housekeeping at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls and St. John's Lutheran Church in Fairfax.
She is survived by her son, Jerome Klinker and wife, Sally of Rice; sister, Olga Bubblitz of Fairfax; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry in 1993; brothers, Harry, Howard and Art Klinker; and sisters, Lucille Lund, Meda Timm, Leona Grams.

Francis Leonard, 52, of 1615 N. Franklin St., New Ulm, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000 at his home.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the Calvary Cemetery in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin at a later date.
Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 - 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Leonard of New Ulm; daughter, Anne Marie Leonard, stationed in Bremerton, Wash. with the U.S. Navy; sons, Paul Francis Leonard of Mankato, Joseph Michael Leonard of New Ulm; and his twin sister, Mary Ellen Leonard of Prairie du Sac, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was born Nov. 28, 1947 in Fond du Lac, Wis. to Francis L. and Mary M. (Dullea) Leonard. He graduated from the St. Mary's Springs Academy in Fond du Lac, in 1966. He married Mary Buch on Oct. 16, 1971, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. He graduated in 1975 from the Wisconsin State University in Oshkosh, Wisconsin with a B.S. Degree in psycology. After graduating from college he was employed at the Mental Health Center in Fond du Lac. Later they moved to Menomonie, Wis. and he received his Master's Degree in Psycology. They moved to New Ulm in August 1987. He was a school psycologist for 12 1/2 years for the Riverbend Education District 6049 based out of New Ulm. He was a member of the Cathedral of Holy Trinity in New Ulm and a past member of the Minnesota School Psycologist Association and the National Association of School Psycologists.

Elmer Swanson, 89, of Fairfax, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000 at Fairfax Community Nursing Home.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Fairfax, with burial in Ft. Ridgely and Dale Cemetery, Camp Township, Renville County.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 8-11 a.m. Monday at Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Fairfax, and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
He is survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ilah Roebke of Hector, Margaret Bleck of Fairfax, Ken Weikle and wife Delores of Fairfax, Ray Weikle of Fairfax, Florence Lee of Los Altos, Calif., Gail Hatley and husband Lowell of Seattle; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Sena Swanson; and his wife Orda.
He was born Nov. 12, 1910, in Osloe Township, Mountrail County, N.D., to Peter and Sena (Ellevold) Swanson. He grew up in Plaza, N.D. where he attended school. He married Orda G. Weikle on Dec. 29, 1953 in Fairfax. The couple moved to Plaza, N.D., where they farmed. They divided their time between Plaza and Fairfax, until their retirement in 1968. He lived at Fairview Apartments, Fairfax, before moving to Fairfax Community Nursing Home in March 1996. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Fairfax.

Warren Lee, of Petaluma, Calif., formerly of Redwood Falls, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000 in Petaluma.
A memorial service for friends and family will be held in June.
Private burial will be in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.
Donations preferred to the National Kidney Foundation Inc.
Nelson Funeral Service, Redwood Falls, is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Wayne Hovdesven of Petaluma; son Richard of Sioux Falls, S.D.; granddaughter Kristen Hovdesven of Sonoma, Calif.; grandson Erik Hovdesven of Spokane, Wash.; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Robert Anderson of Tulsa, Okla.; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy.
He was born Dec, 8, 1914 in Villard, Minn., to Clyde and Nellie (Clemens) Lee. He attended Villard Schools and graduated from the University of Minnesota Chiropractic College and Northwestern College of Chiropractic. He married Dorothy Ann Sharp on July 2, 1942 in St. Charles, Mo. They lived in St. Paul. After serving in the Army, he established a chiropractic practice in Redwood Falls, which he maintained for 36 years until his retirement in 1982. He developed the Activator Methods chiropractic technique and innovation equipment, such as the Activator adjusting instrument and an adjusting table designed for his adjustment technique. He was a member of the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Minnesota and served as Grand Master Mason.

Blanche Biebl, 82, of Gibbon died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, in New Braunfels, Texas.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon, with burial in the Clear Lake Lutheran Cemetery in Cornish Township, Sible County.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m Sunday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon, and one hour prior services at the church.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Biebl of Gibbon; daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Bill Pierce of Bloomington; sons and daughters-in-law, Noel and Jan Biebl of Roseville, and Jonathan and Laura Biebl of St. Paul; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters.
She was born Nov. 16, 1917, in Gibbon to Clifford and Lillian(Nelson) Benson. She graduated from the Gibbon High School in 1935 and from the University of Minnesota in 1939 with a degree in Library Science.
She married Howard Bieble on Jan. 7, 1941 in Nicollet. They lived in Nicollet for year and then moved to Gibbon. Blanche helped Howard run the Bieble Drug Store in Gibbon for almost 50 years. She also spent many years working on the Regional Library Board and with the Bloodbank in her spare time. She was a member of the Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon.

Rose Marie Bushard, 71, of Great Falls, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at a Great Falls area hospital of Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Services are noon Wednesday at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Great Falls, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation is 7 p.m. Tuesday at O'Connor Memorial Chapel, Great Falls.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene of Great Falls; daughter, Sandi Rose Bushard Specht of Boulder, Colo.; sons, Ricky of Phoenix, Bryan of Boise, Idaho, Darrell of Titusville, Fla., Larry of Largmont, Colo., Reid of San Diego, Calif., Robyn of Great Falls, and David of Great Falls; brother, Victor Reed of Willerine, Mont.; 25 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son, Norbert.
She was born Dec. 21, 1928, in New Ulm. She grew up and attended school in New Ulm. She married Eugene Bushard on May 10, 1947 in New Ulm. They left New Ulm in 1951 and moved to Montana in 1959. She worked as a nurse's aid at Cascade County Convalescent Home. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and Alar Society.
