Delbert Stoll, 61, of 701 S. Jefferson St., died Monday, May 14, 2001, at New Ulm Medical Center.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-9 p.m. today, and 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Firle Funeral Home in New Ulm, and continues one hour prior to services at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon of New Ulm; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Joan Stoll of Brooklyn Park, Chad and Alicia Stoll of Monticello; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Mike Shavlik of Eden Prairie; grandchildren, Ryan and Emily Stoll, Desmond and Dexter Shavlik; mother, Evelyn Stoll of Fairfax; brothers, Larry and his wife Lois Stoll of New Ulm, Gayel and his wife Sharon Stoll of Woodbury; sisters, Barb Asmus and her husband Ted of New Ulm, Shirley Kamm and her husband Melvin of New Ulm; brothers-in-law, Chuck Soupir and his wife Nancy of Sioux Falls, S.D., Butch Soupir and his wife Linda of Watertown, S.D.; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Stoll, two sons in infancy, and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Vivian Como and Henry Soupir.
He was born Aug. 13, 1939, to Herbert and Evelyn (Schroeder) Stoll, in Hutchinson. He grew up on the family farm near Fairfax and graduated from Fairfax High School in 1958. He worked in Minneapolis for a time, later returning to Fairfax where he worked for Jerome Fahey Tiling. He married Sharon Soupir on March 2, 1963, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. He worked for Dannheim's Dairy, Hauenstein Brewery, and at Holm Industries for 32 years. Illness forced his retirement in 1999. He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm.
Kathryn Wilstermann, 92, of Morgan died, Sunday, May 13, 2001, at Sunwood Good Samaritan Center in Redwood Falls.
Memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church in Morgan.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Saturday.
Arrangements are being handled by the Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Morgan.
She is survived by her children, Richard Wilstermann and his wife Arm of Rochester, Lois Kirschstein and her husband Wally of Morgan, William Wilstermann and his wife Helen of Detroit, Mich.; ten grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Dale Carr of Albert Lea, John Carr and his wife Winifred of Des Moines, Iowa, Betty Williams of Melbourne, Fla,, and Patricia Martin of San Diego, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl in 1990; two grandsons and a son-in-law, Elmer Kirschstein.
She was born May 7, 1909, at Lone Rock, Iowa, to Hugh and Pearl (Sutton) Carr. Her family moved to Ellendale, Minn., in 1923. She graduated from Ellendale High School in 1926. She attended college in Owatonna and St. Cloud. She taught country school. She married Carl Wilstermann on March 14,1931, in Marshall. They lived in various communities including Morgan. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Morgan and a Girl Scout and Cub Scout Leader.
James W. Butzer, 66, of Morton died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at Sunwood Good Samaritan Center in Redwood Falls.
Memorial service is 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church in Morton with burial in Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Redwood Falls, and will continue Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou of Morton; children, Susan Butzer and husband Tim Veerkamp of Eagan, Rachel Edwards and friend Chad Schwab of Minneapolis and honorary daughter Mei Yen Wang and husband Heng Lou; three grandchildren and one honorary granddaughter; sisters; Betty Blott of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Sally Sampson and husband Edward of Belview; brothers, David Butzer and wife Norita of Shakopee and Gary Butzer of Hope Valley, R.I.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Alex Veerkamp.
James Walter Butzer was born Jan. 1, 1935 in Morton to Walter and Rachel (Westphal) Butzer.
He resided with his family in Morton, graduating from Morton High School in 1952. He entered
the United State Air Force, serving during the Korean War until 1956. He graduated from the
University of Minnesota at Mankato graduating in 1961 with a double major in science and math.
He married Mary Lou Kodet on July 28, 1954, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bechyn. he taught high school at Good Thunder. He worked for UNISYS for 28 years as systems analyst, retiring in 1991 and moving to Morton. He was a charter member of Mary Mother of the Church in Eagan and Burnsville area. He was a member of the American Legion at Mankato, Eagan and Morton and has been a member of St. John's Catholic Church since 1973. He was a 4-H leader for Eagan Rangers for eight years. He was a member of Morton Senior Center and wrote grants for the organization. He was a member of Redwood Senior Center and a volunteer at Redwood Valley School. He was the first person to receive multichannel cochlear implant in Minnesota in 1986. He and his wife were instrumental in forming the cochlear implant support group, and he wrote the Cochlear Newsletter for five years. He spent 11 1/2 years working with research at the University of Minnesota regarding the cochlear implant. He was a guest speaker at Lions conventions in Minnesota regarding cochlear implant. He was a tutor for Laotian immigrants. He was active in the DFL party.
Elsie Krick, 75, of rural Westbrook, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Westbrook. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Westbrook Funeral Home in Westbrook. Visitation will continue at the church on Friday one hour prior to the services.
She is survived by her children: Connie and husband Gary Messer of Coon Rapids, Dennis Krick of Westbrook, Carolyn Krick of Minneapolis, Roger and wife Connie Krick of Westbrook, Nancy and husband Rodney Boeck of Westbrook, Janell and husband Jerry Hospital of Fairfax, Va., Marcia and husband Steve Read of Lino Lakes, and Karen Krick of Mankato; and 17 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy; brothers, Pete, Fred, Sam, Elmer, Al and Ray; and sisters, Florence and Luella.
Elsie Mary Elizabeth Heeren Krick was born March 9, 1925, to Peter and Johanna (Schilling) Heeren in Adrian. She married Roy Krick on Feb. 8, 1944, in Worthington. They farmed in Des Moines River Township until Roy's death on May 28, 1975. She was a member of the senior center, numerous card clubs, and St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Kenneth W. Watschke, 76, of Owatonna died on Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church in Owatonna, with burial in New Ulm City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Connie of Owatonna; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Barb Watschke of Minneapolis; daughters, Karen Watschke of North Mankato, LeAnne and husband DuWayne Schatza of Anoka; brothers and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Theresa Watschke of St. Paul, Donald and Sheila Watschke of Brooklyn Center, Larry Watschke of Sleepy Eye; and sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Emory Stebleton of Colorado Springs, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters.
He was born on Sept. 10, 1924, to Herman and Ida (Lochner) Watschke Jr. in Brown County. Raised on the family farm in Prairieville Township, he attended Sleepy Eye public schools. He married Connie Lee on June 13, 1953, in Hanska. The couple farmed in Brown County for 10 years when he received a degree from Alexandria Technical College. He then worked for the Oliver dealership in Buffalo Lake for five years. The couple moved to Owatonna where he worked for the John Deere dealership until retiring in 1986. He was a long-time member of the United Methodist Church in Owatonna.
Mary Ann Coltvet, 62, of Madelia, died Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at her home.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Madelia with burial in Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation is 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Pilgrim Funeral Home in Madelia is handling the arrangements.
She is survived by an aunt and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother.
She was born June 17, 1938, in Madelia to Milford "Red' and Blanche (Morris) Coltvet. She graduated from Madelia High School in 1956. She attended the University of Minnesota School of Business and was employed at the University of Minnesota Farnhams Stationery Store. She later returned to Madelia where she worked as a nurses aide at Luther Memorial Home. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she was organist 25 years, the Madelia Garden Club, District Garden Club, Order of Eastern Star, and Minnesota Horticulture Society. She also served as volunteer pianist at Luther Memorial Home.
Roy A. G. Heller, 79, of North Mankato died Wednesday, May 16, 200 1, at his home.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mankato, with burial with military honors in Woodland Hills Memorial Park.
Visitation is noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.
He is survived by stepdaughters, LaVonne Pagelow and her husband, Edward, of Sun Prairie, Wis., Shirley Gregory of Douglas, AR, Jeanine Molobon and her husband, Harvey, of Bela Vista, AK: many stepgrandchildren; sisters, Lenora Voigt of St. Peter, Florella Helling and her husband James, of Mankato; brothers and their wives, Howard and Luella Heller of New Ulm, Russell and Mabel Heller of Colorado Springs, Colo.; also numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle in 1995; stepson-in-law, William Gregory; two sisters and four brothers.
He was born Sept. 7, 1921, in Cosmos, Meeker County, Minnesota, to Richard and Mary (Jacobson) Heller. He was in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving as a corporal under Gen. Patton. He married Myrtle Nordgren on April 8, 1950, in Mankato. He worked at Kato Engineering for 36 1/2 years, retiring March 20, 1986. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Mankato. He was a life member of V.F.W. Post 950 of Mankato, a Color Guard member for 5 years, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter of New Ulm. He also was a member of Nicollet American Legion Post 510 and the WWII Last Man Club.
Leo J. Reinhart, 85, of 419 S. Broadway in New Ulm, died Thursday, May 17, 2001, at New Ulm Medical Center.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with burial in the City Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the New Ulm veterans organizations.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday and 7:30-11 a.m. Saturday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
He is survived by his wife, Marion Reinhart of New Ulm; sons, Ronald Reinhart and Robert Reinhart both of New Ulm; sister and brother-in-law, Imelda and Stan Domeier of Novato, Calif.; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George "Buddy" and Mary Hogen of Brainerd.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Richard Reinhart in 1958; sisters, Emily Anderson, Salome Saffert, Florence Johnson, Stella Vogel and Mildred McIvor; and a brother, Donald Reinhart in infancy.
He was born on Oct. 15, 1915, in West Newton Township, Nicollet County. to John and Anna (Kosek) Reinhart. He graduated from New Ulm Public High School in 1934. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942 to 1945. He married Marion Hogen on Feb. 8, 1944, at the rectory of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. After the service he returned to New Ulm and began a career with New Ulm Savings & Loan and Hogen Insurance serving as manager. He retired in 1981. He served two terms on the New Ulm Planning Commission. He was currently on the committee of the New Ulm Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame and American Legion Hall of Fame. He had served on the New Ulm Baseball Association. He was a past member of the New Ulm Bowling Association and New Ulm Rotary Club. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm, St. Joseph's Catholic Aid Council, Junior Pioneers, Turner Club, American Legion Post 132 and V.F.W. Post 1648.
Catherine Rosenfeld, 55, of Mankato, died Friday, May 18, 2001, at her home, of cancer.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2001 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Mankato, with burial is at Garden City Cemetery in Garden City.
Visitation is Sunday 4-8 p.m. at Landkamer Johnson Boman Funeral Home and one hour to services at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church or Hospice.
She is survived by husband Harvey E., mother K. Gratia Foster of Mankato; sons John and his wife Billie of Wausau, Wis., and Michael of Mankato; and nephews and a niece.
She was preceded in death by her father Delbert.
She was born May 7, 1946, to Delbert and K. Gratia (Cox) Gardner in Mankato. She attended schools in Mankato, graduating from Minneapolis West in 1964. She also graduated from Mankato Commercial College. Cathy married Harvey E. Rosenfeld on July 26, 1969, at St. Paul"s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Arlington. She was a homemaker. She was involved in Tuesday morning Bible study, vacation Bible school, St. Paul's Greeters and the Mary-Ruth Circle for which she served as secretary. She also volunteered at the Treasure House in New Ulm.
Stella M. Engbarth, 90, of Phoenix, Ariz., died Friday, May 11, 2001, in Phoenix.
Services were held at St. Adrian Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery in Adrian, Minn.
She is survived by sons, Roland and wife Mary of Scottsdale, Ariz., Lyle and wife Karyl of Scottsdale, and Ferrel of Beaumont, Calif.; daughter, Myra and husband Wayne Haber of Lake Lillian; brothers, Floud, Dale and Wayne Domeyer; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was born Oct. 10, 1910 in Dyersville, Iowa, and had lived most of her life in Adrian. She lived in New Ulm, at the St. Michael Apartments, from 1983 to 1995, before moving to Phoenix.
Lyla Whittet, 85, of Redwood Falls died on Friday, May 18, 2001, at Sunwood Good Samaritan Center in Redwood Falls.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2001, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls, with burial in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, rural Redwood Falls.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and one hour prior to the church service Monday.
She is survived by sister Viola Adams of Spokane, Wash.; nieces Patricia and Robert Ladd of Hastings, Karen and Brad Hanson of Longmont, Colo., Janice and Robert Swanson of Bloomington, Joan and Gary Santjer of Renville, Randi and Dave Usher of Eden Prairie, and Renee and Lee Carlson of Chanhassen; nephew Greg Penke of Danube; and sister-in-law Lois Penke of Renville.
Lyla was preceded in death by her husband; brother Melvin; sisters Verna Rohr and Lydia Tillman; and nephew James Penke.
Lyla was born on June 1, 1915, to Herman and Augusta Penke in Danube. She attended country schools near Danube. After her schooling, she worked as a beautician in Redwood Falls and as a clerk at Sward-Kemp Snyder Drug. She married Donald M. Whittet on Jan. 13, 1962, at Redwood Falls. Following their marriage she continued working at the drug store until her retirement in 1983. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Minnesota Prairie OWLS. She also was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the Southwest Minnesota Senior Federation and was active with Redwood Falls Senior Citizens.
Margaret Priem, 83, died Friday, March 16, 2001 at Merle West Medical Center in Klamath Falls.
She is survived by her children and spouses Kenny and Violet Priem, and Judy Hager & fiance Tom Robbins; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law Gary Hager
Services will be Monday, May 21, 2001, in New Ulm Cemetery.

She was born June 25, 1917 in Mankato, to Benjamin and Elsie (Van Patton) Keenan. She worked as a cab dispatcher during WWII. She married Eldor Priem on June 24, 1945 in Mankato. She was a foster parent.
Minnie Weller, 95, formerly of Gibbon, died Thursday, May 17, 2001 at the Fairfax Community Home in Fairfax.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Moltke Township, Sibley County, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon, and one hour prior to the time of the service at the church on Monday.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and John Aufderheide of Gibbon, and Mavis and Al Packer of Santa Ana, Calif.; a son and daughter-in-law, John "Buddy" and Marlene Weller of Gibbon; seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a great great grandson; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Weller in 1967; son, Jerome in 1963; several grandchildren; sisters, Emma Luehring, Bertha Schloendorf, Lydia Luehring, Mary and Sophie Panning; brothers, Arthur, Ernest, Herbert, Fred and twin brother, William Panning.
She was born June 5, 1905, in Hamburg to Frederick and Wilhelmina (Roeders) Panning. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School in Hamburg. She married Walter Weller on Sept. 26, 1926, in Hamburg.
They lived on the family farm near Gibbon until 1955, when they moved into Gibbon. In 1979 she moved into the Sun-Ray Apartments where she lived until entering the Fairfax Community Home in 1996. She served as a cook in the Gibbon Community Schools and also at the Gibbon Ballroom.
She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Moltke Township, Sibley County and also the (LWML) Lutheran Women Missionary League at the church.
