Erma Grewe, of Gaylord, died March 21, 2003, at St. Mary's Care Center in Winsted.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Egesdal Funeral Home and one hour before services at the church.
She is survived by son Virgil Grewe of Burnsville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was born on Jan. 30, 1919 in Rock Rapids, Iowa, to August and Marie (Drews) Moeller.

Evelyn H. Petersen, 94, of Appleton, formerly of Sleepy Eye, died Saturday, March 22, 2003.
Services are 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye with burial in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm.
Visitation is Wednesday at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her daughters, Marian Grams, LaDonna Schwecke and Linda Gigstead; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sister, Adeline Lange.
She was born Jan. 2, 1909, in Home Township, Brown County, Minnesota to Otto and Amelia Orth.

Milton 'Bill' Quesenberry, 92, of Redwood Falls, died Sunday, March 23, 2003, at Wood Dale Nursing Home in Redwood Falls.
Services are 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, at United Methodist Church in Redwood falls, with burial in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.
Visitation is noon until time of service Wednesday at the church.
Arrangements are handled by Nelson-Martin Funeral Service.
He is survived by sisters, Ruth Garnhardt of Redwood Falls, Pearl Rogers of San Mateo, Calif., and Clara Jane Buchanan of Fairfax, va.,; brothers, Irvin Quesenberry of Morgan, Howard Quesenberry of Wabasha, and Alvin Quesenberry of Minnetonka.
He was born Oct. 9, 1910, in Whiteside, Ill., to Newton and Bertha (Royer) Quesenberry.

Ida M. Schwartz, 88, of rural Sleepy Eye, died Sunday, March 23, 2003, at the Sleepy Eye Care Center.
Services are 11 a.m., Thursday, March 27, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran church in Sleepy Eye with burial in Home Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye; and continues one hour before the service at the church.
She is survived by her four sons, David Schwartz of Sleepy Eye, Tom and wife Sue Schwartz of Apple Valley, Douglas Schwartz of Sleepy Eye and Darryl and wife Nanette Schwartz of Sleepy Eye; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; son-in-law Chuck Schewe of Sleepy Eye; sister Elsie Werner of Wabasso; and numerous sisters-in-law.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents; husband Franklin; three daughters, Elaine, Shirley and Clarice; seven brothers; Walter, August, Helmuth, Paul, Louis, William and Edwin; three sisters, Ella, Esther, Leona; and a brother and sister in infancy.
Ida was born on November 22, 1914, in Willow Township, Redwood County, Minn., to August and Anna (Lapschis) Krueger. She attended country school in Willow Township. On September 6, 1937, she married Franklin Schwartz at Trinity Lutheran Church in Willow Lake Township. After their marriage they farmed in Leavenworth Township for many years. Ida was a charter member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. Her faith was the most important aspect of her life. She enjoyed her family, cooking, gardening and observing the planting and harvesting of crops each year.

Becky Sue Fornberg, 45, of Walnut Grove died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D.
Services will be 1:30 p.m.. Friday, March 28, at the Walnut Grove Public School, with burial in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Walnut Grove.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Walnut Grove Public School, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service.
Walnut Grove Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Arlo Kuchenbecker, 51, of rural Nicollet died Sunday, March 23, 2003 at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet with burial in the church cemetery in rural Nicollet.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Thursday.
Arlo is survived by his wife, Karen Kuchenbecker of rural Nicollet; daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Steven Hoerle of Rochester, Katie and Eric Toft of Eden Prairie, Tammy Kuchenbecker of Mankato; grandchildren, Carolyn Hoerle and Nicholas Hoerle; sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Jeffrey Hutchinson of Austin, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harlan and Alice Kuchenbecker of Jackson, Neil Kuchenbecker of Alpha, Keith and Susan Kuchenbecker of Dunnell; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was born on April 3, 1951 in Blue Earth to Walter and Lois (Reese) Kuchenbecker. He married Karen Wels on June 15, 1974 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet. After marriage he was employed in the baking industry and most recently was employed at the hilltop Hy-Vee in Mankato. Arlo loved to entertain, fish, play cards, and most of all be with his family. He was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet and was a member of the Nicollet Lions Club.

James K. Newton, 35, of Winthrop, died Monday, March 24, 2003, at his home,
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 29, at 11 a.m., at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop. Burial of ashes will be at a later date.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Friday; and 7:30-8:30 a.m., Saturday; at the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the time of services at the church on Saturday. There will be a prayer service Friday at 8 p.m., at the funeral chapel.

Ottelia O. Paape, 95, of Redwood Falls, died Monday, March 24, 2003, at Sunwood Good Samaritan Care Center, Redwood Falls.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 28, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Redwood Falls. Burial will be in Morgan City Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
She was born Nov. 15, 1907, in Morgan to Carl and Wilhelmina (Ott) Paape.
Arrangements are with Nelson-Martin Funeral Service, Redwood Falls.

Myrtle Schroeder, 79, of Evan, formerly of New Ulm, died Monday evening, March 24, 2003, at her home in Evan.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Rev. Thomas Henning officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 7 to 8 a.m., Thursday at Schmucker Funeral Service in New Ulm, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Myrtle Marie Hamann, the daughter of Edwin and Rose (Breu) Hamann, was born January 8, 1924, in Cottonwood Township, Brown County, Minnesota. She spent her youth on the family farm and attended country schools. She was united in marriage to Earl Schroeder on June 18, 1946, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. They made their home in New Ulm where she did housekeeping and worked several years at the former Wear-Well Garment Factory. Myrtle also worked many years in the laundry business for Norge Village, New Ulm Laundry and Jerry's Cleaners. The onset of Alzheimer's Disease initiated her retirement in 1996. That year, Myrtle and Earl moved to Evan. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm.
Survivors include her husband Earl of Evan; daughters, Rebecca Netzke and her husband Ronald of Evan, Rhonda Dahlgren and her husband Joel of New Ulm; son, Jeffrey Schroeder of Evan; seven grandchildren, Brian Netzke and his wife Ronda of Searles, Todd Netzke and his wife Kara of Red Wing, Jason Netzke and his wife Amy of Sleepy Eye, Steven Netzke and his wife Kari of Waite Park, Randy Netzke and his special friend Colette Wenish of Mankato, Andrew Kitzberger of New Ulm, and Daniel Kitzberger of Duluth; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Delton Hamann and his wife Rosie of Lafayette; sisters, Shirley Forst and her husband Gerald of Gibbon, Betty Jarvis and her husband Gerald of Rochester; brother-in-law, Dennis Schroeder and his wife Grace of Fairmount, Ill.; nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents,
Myrtle was preceded in death by a son-in-law Paul Kitzberger, brother Edwin Hamann and sister Norma Meyer.

James R. Wellman, 42, of Phoenix, Ariz., and formerly of St. James and Mankato, died Friday, March 21, 2003, in Oro Valley, Ariz.
Services are 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 29, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Friday, at Woodland Hills Funeral Home in Mankato with a prayer service at 7 p.m.; and continues one hour before services at the church.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Carolyn Wellman of North Mankato; daughters, Courtney Oliver of Winthrop, Chantel Wellman of Winthrop; brother, Brian Wellman of Goodridge.
He was born Dec. 11, 1960, in St. James, to Robert and Carolyn (Burghardt) Wellman.

Charlotte L. Christensen, 84, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 28, at the Central Christian Church, 1320 Nolana, in McAllen, with Pastor Bill Hix officiating. Burial will be in the Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at the Virgil Wilson Memorial Chapel in McAllen.
Memorials are preferred to the Central Christian Church or Central Christian School, 1320 Nolana, McAllen, Texas, 78501.
She is survived by a sister Betty (John) Harper of Plymouth, Minn.; sons, Curtis (Sandra) Christensen of Pagosa Springs, Colo. and John Christsensen of Sparks, Nev.; and two grandsons, Craig (Vonnie) Christensen of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Andrew Christensen of Austin, Texas.
She was preceded by death by her parents and her husband, Marvin, who passed away in 1990.
She was born July 16, 1918 to Rudolph and Hulda Jensen of Sleepy Eye, Minn. Charlotte obtained her teaching certificate and taught school in a one-room school house in the late 1930s in rural Minnesota.
Charlotte married Marvin P. Christensen in June 1940 and they spent 30 wonderful years in the New Ulm and Sleepy Eye areas, where Charlotte was a housewife and worked in school and hospital clerical positions. Throughout her life Charlotte was very active in church, school and charity volunteer work. In 1972 Marvin and Charlotte moved to McAllen, where they created, developed and sold the large Colonia McAllen Subdivision on the southwest side of McAllen. They provided financing so that hundreds of entry-level buyers could get into their first home.
Charlotte was active in the Central Christian Church, where she taught a ladies bible study. She was a treasurer for the church Spirit Lifters Group. She was treasurer of the Volunteers at the Rio Grande Regional Hospital Auxiliary for many years and was named Volunteer of the Year for 1999. She was secretary for the Zodiac Book Review Club and treasurer for the Current Events Club.

Bernice M. Clarken, 77, of Redwood Falls, died Sunday, March 23, 2003 at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2003 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Redwood Falls. Burial will be in Redwood Falls Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Redwood Valley Funeral Home and Thursday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by three daughters, Judy Grannes of Belview, Bonnie Tipeke of Morris, and Lori Ryer of Belview; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren, and a brother, Warren Datwyler, of Annapolis, MD.
She was born May 25, 1925 to George Arthur and Minnie Louise (Beyer) Datwyler in New Avon Township, Redwood County, Minnesota.

She is survived by her husband, Ed; a son, Tony, and daughter, Lindsey, both at home; and brothers, Tim Torgeson and Randy Torgeson.
She was born Feb. 8, 1958 in Montevideo to Wallace and Gladys (Torgerson) Torgeson of Milan, Minn.

James K. 'Jimmy' Newton, 35, of Winthrop, MN, died Monday, March 24, 2003, at his home in Winthrop.
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 29, 2003, at 11 a.m., at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop. Interment of ashes will be at a later date.
Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m., and Saturday from 7:30-8:30 a.m., at the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the time of services at the church on Saturday. There will be a prayer service Friday at 8 p.m., at the funeral chapel.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Michelle Newton of Winthrop; his mother, Carol Knoebel of Winthrop; his father, Keven Newton of Rochester; siblings, Katie Kizer of Arlington, Addie McLain of Irvine, Calif., Robert "Bob" Knoebel of Howard Lake, Barbara Knoebel of Farmington, and Dedrick Knoebel who is stationed in Oklahoma; and his grandparents, Clyde and Glenice Newton of Grand Rapids, and a step-grandmother, Gladys (Eiler) Zoubek of Faribault.
James Keven Newton was born March 21, 1968, in Faribault to Keven and Carol (Eiler) Newton.
