Ty A. Johnson, 40, of 618 North Payne Street in New Ulm, died Saturday, May 15, 2004, at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 20, at the First United Methodist Church in New Ulm with burial in the New Ulm City Cemetery Soldier's Rest Section with full military honors being conducted by the New Ulm veterans organizations. Pastor Dean Nosek will officiate.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at church on Thursday.
Ty is survived by daughter, Teia Johnson of New Ulm; son, Terry A. Johnson Jr. of New Ulm; his parents, Terry and Sharon Johnson of New Ulm; fiancée, Margaret Johnson of New Ulm; sister, Tammy Johnson of New Ulm; brothers and sister-in-law, Troy Johnson of Aurora, Colorado, Toby and Kateri Johnson of New Ulm; niece, Kaia Jolie Johnson of New Ulm; nephew, Hayden Troy Johnson of New Ulm; and by aunts, uncles and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and by his brother, Tony Johnson on July 22, 1985.
Ty Allen Johnson was born September 25, 1963 in New Ulm to Terry and Sharon (Madigan) Johnson. He attended New Ulm Public Schools. He served in the United States Army from 1985 - 1989. Ty married Margaret Sperl on October 8, 1983 in New Ulm. After his discharge from the army, he worked for his father at Terry's Mobil in New Ulm. He then drove truck for J & R Schugel Trucking, D & A Trucking and then for J & R Schugel Trucking until the present. Ty enjoyed motorcycles, shooting pool, classic cars, fishing and camping. Above all things, Ty enjoyed his family and his job.
In lieu of flowers, the Johnson family prefers memorials.

Delores M. Lund, 73 of Fairfax, died Monday, May 17, 2004, at the Fairfax Community Home.
Funeral service is 11 a.m., Thursday, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Fairfax.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church and continues one hour before services Thursday at the church.
Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax is handling the arrangements.
She is survived by husband, Ervin Lund of Fairfax; sons, Dennis Lund of Fairfax, Kyle Lund of Fairfax; daughter, Sandra Lund of Sleepy Eye; five grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; four great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; sisters, Luella Draeger of Winthrop, and Renee Schmit of New Ulm.
Delores Mae (Podratz) Lund was born on May 27, 1930, in Moltke Township, Sibley County, Minn., to Henry and Edna (Niebuhr) Podratz.

Angela Rosenhammer, 67, of Mankato, died Saturday, May 15, 2004m at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester as a result of a one-car accident on May 13.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 18 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Mankato with burial in Woodland Hills Memorial Park, Mankato.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday at Mankato Mortuary with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and Tuesday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her husband, Lee; a daughter, Cheryl Bredenbeck of Edina; a son, Brian of Richfield; mother, Eleanor Turbes of Springfield; a brother Glen Turbes of Willmar.
She was born May 25, 1936, to Matt and Eleanor (Lang) Turbes in Springfield.

Doris E. Wendt, 80, of Morgan, died Sunday, May 16, 2004, at Gil-Mor Manor, Morgan.
Services are 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 19, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Morgan with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m., Tuesday and one hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
Arrangements are with Nelson-Martin Funeral Service, Redwood Falls.
She is survived by his brother, Duane of Morgan; and a sister, Pearl Ragan of Franklin.
She was born Nov. 17, 1923, in Morgan to Emil and Alma (Loose) Wendt.

Johanna (Feist) Wolf, 92,of Springfield, Minn., died on Saturday, May 15, 2004, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Service is 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 20, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Sanborn, with burial in the Sanborn City Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, and 7:30-8:30 a.m., Thursday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield; and continues one hour before the service at the church.
She is survived by her children, Robert Wolf of Brooksville, FL, Richard Wolf of Hastings, MN, and Ramona Schiller of Redwood Falls, MN; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was born April 20, 1912 in Stratsburg, N.D., to Joseph and Pauline (Aboling) Feist.

Ethel Graff, 94,of Lamberton, died Sunday, May 16, 2004 at Valley View Manor in Lamberton.
Service will be 10:30 a.m. today, May 19, at Highwater Lutheran Church. Burial is at Highwater Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be 7:30-8:30 a.m. today at Sturm Funeral Home, Lamberton. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
Survivors include her children, Shirley Mattison of Lamberton, Robert Graff of Lamberton, Arliss Quiring of Lamberton, Roger Graff of Twin Falls, Idaho, Janice Coulter of Lamberton, Gary Graff of Lamberton, Bruce Graff of Minneapolis, Richard Graff of Le Sueur; 33 grandchildren; 51 great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Ethel Ruth Graff was born Nov. 15, 1909, in Carpio, N.D., to Erick and Randie (Erickson) Erickson.

Lauretta 'Leddy' Hamann, 92, of New Ulm, died Monday, May 17, 2004, at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, May 22, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Father John A. Richter officiating. Burial will be in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday and 7:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The Christian Mothers Society will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Friday at the Cathedral. The St. Anne's Court will pray the rosary at 6:30 p.m., and there will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. both Friday at the funeral home.
Lauretta is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Mary Hamann of Edina; grandchildren, Lisa Connell and her husband, Barry of Chester, New Jersey, Janel Vanek and her husband, Phil of Ashburn, Virginia, Marc Hamann and his wife, Jennifer of Maple Grove; greaT-grandchildren, Brendan, Madeline, Sophie and Delaney Connell, Kathryn and Christopher Vanek.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Hamann; sisters, Emily Traurig, Viola MacFarlane and Stella Gulden; and brothers, George Klinkhammer, John Klinkhammer and Jerome Klinkhammer.
Lauretta Willamena Klinkhammer was born on May 29, 1911, in New Ulm to Michael and Willamena (Grau) Klinkhammer. On May 4, 1937 she married Raymond Hamann at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. After marriage they resided in New Ulm. She did volunteer work, was a Girl Scout Troop Leader, a Director of the Girl Rangers, the New Ulm area Captain for the Kings House Retreat Center in Buffalo for over 30 years, served on the board of the ladies auxiliary at Sioux Valley Hospital. She was voted WCCO's "Good Neighbor." She was a member of the German-Bohemian Society and was inducted into the New Ulm Bowling Hall of Fame.
She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, a member of the Christian Mothers Society and the St, Anne's Court # 389, N.C.S.F.

Lola Duus, 82, died Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at the St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Funeral service is 10 a.m., Saturday, May 22, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield with burial to follow at Springfield City Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m., Friday, May 21, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield and one hour before the service Saturday at the church.
Arrangements were handled by Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer Duus of Springfield; sons, Lynn Kieper of Andover, Alan Kieper of Casper, Wy., and Dean Kieper of Andover; a brother, Arley Rolloff of New Ulm; two grandchildren and a great-grandson.
She was born Aug. 10, 1921 in Milford Township, Brown County to August and Martha (Froemming) Rolloff.

Leona Elizabeth (Lang) Meidl, 96,of Sleepy Eye, died on Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye.
Service will be held at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield on Saturday, May 22, at 10:30 a.m. The clergy will be Father Dennis Labat. Interment will be at St. Raphael's Catholic Cemetery in Springfield.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 21, from 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday May 22, from 7:30- 10 a.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. There will be a parish prayer service on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield and a CCW rosary on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield.

Leona Elizabeth (Lang) Meidl was born April 15, 1908, in Bashaw Township, the daughter of Andrew J. and Margaret (Kreitinger) Lang. She attended St. Paul Catholic School in Comfrey. Leona married Albert Meidl on February 16, 1930 in Comfrey. The couple farmed south of Sleepy Eye and later farmed south of Springfield. In 1972 they retired and moved to Springfield. Leona moved to the Villa Maria Apartments in Sleepy Eye in 1994 and for the past three years had been at the Divine Providence Community Home. Leona was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield and St. Ann's CCW. She loved gardening, flowers, cooking, making quilts, crocheting, tatting, playing cards, and she enjoyed her family and all her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Phyllis Juenemann of Springfield, Bernetta and Herbert Windschitl of Cold Spring, and Dennis and wife Janice Meidl of Springfield; 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Zenk of Olivia; and a sister-in-law, Kathleen Lang of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert, four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sons-in-law; four sisters and four brothers.

James John Saffert, 40, formerly of Springfield, died Monday, May 17, 2004, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Minneapolis.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 21, at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield. Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the church.
He is survived by his parents, Sylvia and James Saffert, Sr.; brothers, Rodney, Scott, Jody and Tony; a sister, Jenny, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Maria, his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
He was born Feb. 25, 1964, in Springfield to James Sr. and Sylvia (Jenkins) Saffert.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1985 to 1989. He earned the NCO Professional Development Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, and M16 Rifle (Expert) designation, and the Army Lapel Button.
