LINHARDT
Dorothy Catherine Linhardt, 86, Jefferson City, died Sept. 14, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born April 10, 1913, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Clay D. and Anna Humbrock Brown. She was married Nov. 4, 1934, in Jefferson City, to Clarence Henry Linhardt, who died Nov. 10, 1998.
A graduate of Jefferson City High School, she was a homemaker. She was employed at Oberman's Manufacturing Co. and Hallmark Card Shop, and did volunteer work at Still Hospital.
She was a member of Central United Church of Christ and the Sunshine Sunday School Class.
Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn Sue Malzner, Russellville, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Central United Church of Christ. The Rev. Stephen H. Buchholz will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Buescher Memorial Home.
Memorials are suggested to Central United Church of Christ, the American Heart Association or Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri.
MEADE
Thomas Parker Meade, 73, Jefferson City, died Sept. 10, 1999, at his home.
He was born March 11, 1926, in Toledo, Ohio, a son of Thomas P. Sr. and Geraldine E. Smith Meade. He was married July 28, 1954, in Russellville, to Helen Hittenmeyer, who survives.
He was a graduate of Toledo High School. An Army Air Corps veteran, he was an insurance salesman, working in sales, regulation and management. He was employed by the Missouri Department of Insurance.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Other survivors include one son, Craig Alan Meade, Jefferson City, and one daughter, Leslie Lee Meade, Jupiter, Fla.
Private services and burial are planned.
Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association or the Arthritis Foundation.
Arrangements are under the direction of Buescher Memorial Home.
FORD
Paul Mathew Ford, 78, Portsmouth, Va., died Aug. 26, 1999, in Portsmouth.
He was born Sept. 21, 1920. He was married to Laura Fentress Ford, who survives.
A former Missourian, he was a member of Plumbers and Fitters Union Local 110, Norfolk, Va.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Shirley Anne Terry, Chesapeake, Va; two sons, Charles William Ford, Chesapeake, and Paul M. Ford Jr., Portsmouth; one sister, Lucille Throop, Joplin; two brothers, Bert R. Ford, Versailles, and Joseph S. Ford, Henley; seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Eldon City Cemetery. The Rev. James Hill will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home.
STUCKENSCHNEIDER
Edmund John Stuckenschneider, 81, Westphalia, died Sept. 14, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Nov. 10, 1917, in Koeltztown, a son of Herman and Clara Massman Stuckenschneider. He was married Nov. 28, 1946, in Koeltztown, to Marie Helen Kloeppel, who survives at the home.
He was employed by International Shoe Co. for 24 years. For the last 28 years he was construction and maintenance supervisor at the Missouri Highway Patrol general headquarters.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, Westphalia Knights of Columbus Council 1171 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Shelly Herzing, Westphalia; four sons, Donald Stuckenschneider, Jefferson City, Bruce Stuckenschneider and Dale Stuckenschneider, both of Westphalia, and Curt Stuckenschneider, Taos; one sister, Agatha Daniels, Boerne, Texas ; three brothers, Tom Stuckenschneider, Denver, Vic Stuckenschneider, Salt Lake City, and Ray Stuckenschneider, Sun City, Ariz.; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia. The Rev. Robert A. Kurwicki will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Westphalia.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Westphalia, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic School, Westphalia, or to the American Cancer Society.
NOLTING
David Henry Nolting, 61, New Bloomfield, died Sept. 15, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born July 8, 1938, in St. Louis, a son of Elroy and Ruby Hatton Nolting. He was married Dec. 21, 1954, in Dupo, Ill., to Sharon Russell, who survives at the home.
He had been employed by New Bloomfield schools for 15 years, and was currently employed at Southern Boone schools. He was a past member of Show Me Coon Hunters Association.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Deborah Oliver, St. Charles; two sons, Chuck Nolting, New Bloomfield, and Dan Nolting, Fulton; one sister, Sandra Walton, Kimberling City; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Debo Funeral Home, Holts Summit. The Rev. Don Anders will officiate. Burial will be in Dry Fork Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. today.
BERHORST
Anna Caroline Berhorst, 95, Jefferson City, died Sept. 15, 1999, in Jefferson City.
She was born Feb. 17, 1904, in Rich Fountain, a daughter of August and Mary Behrensmeyer Mebruer. She was married Sept. 9, 1933, to Stephen Berhorst, who died Nov. 24, 1966.
A homemaker, she attended school in Rich Fountain. She was a resident of St. Louis from 1921 to 1935, when she moved to Rich Fountain.
A resident of Jefferson City since 1966, she was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Anna Mae Bledsue, Jefferson City, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred heart Church, Rich Fountain. The Rev. Patrick Quinn will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation also will be from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Option Care, Missouri River Hospice or St. Marys Home Care.
BRADLEY
Mary Alice Bradley, 74, Linn Creek, died Sept. 14, 1999, at Independence Medical Center, Independence.
She was born March 21, 1925, in Linn Creek, a daughter of Leonard R. and Della George Shipman. She was married May 11, 1946, in Fort Scott, Kan., to Richard H. Bradley Sr., who survives at the home.
A member of Freedom Church of Christ, Freedom, she had lived in the Lake area for the past 55 years. She was a homemaker.
Other survivors include: two sons, Martin L. Lucas and Richard H. Bradley Jr., both of Independence; three sisters, Wilda McGuire, Linn Creek, and Wilma Edwards and Ruth Brown, both of Independence; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Freedom Church of Christ. Bro. Charles Pitts will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton.
LAWSON
Mary Ann Lawson, 56, Meta, died Sept. 15, 1999, at Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla.
She was born Feb. 27, 1943, in Meta, a daughter of Steve and Elizabeth Clark Hake. She was married July 1, 1991, in Miami, Okla., to Lee Lawson, who survives at the home.
She was employed at Brown Shoe Co., Dixon, for 25 years until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Meta.
Other survivors include: one stepson, David Lawson, Dixon; one stepdaughter, Tanya Solan, Dixon; three brothers, Bernard Hake, St. Elizabeth, Edward Hake, Meta, and Walter Hake, Bonnots Mill; two sisters, Rose Libbert and Bernice Stokes, both of Meta; and one grandson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rekus Funeral Home, Meta. The Rev. John Schutty will officiate. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery, near Meta.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, with a wake service at 7 p.m.
THORPE
C.W. Thorpe, 85, Versailles, died Sept. 15, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Aug. 20, 1914, in Versailles, a son of Roy F. and Alma C. Biersach Thorpe. He was married Oct. 6, 1933, to Tilla Mae Ellis, who survives at the home.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was postmaster for the U.S. Postal Service in Richmond, retiring in 1979. He was a member of the VFW and the Presbyterian church.
He also is survived by one daughter, Susan Hawk, Marian, Kan.
The remains were cremated.
Arrangements were under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.
VEASMAN
Zella "Gertrude" Veasman, 89, Iberia, died Sept. 15, 1999, at Balanced Care, Dixon.
