Richard A. Earley
(November 28, 1953 - June 1, 2015)

Richard A. Earley, age 61, of Eagle Rock, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015, in his home.

He was born November 28, 1953, in Normandy, Missouri, the son of Milard F. and Vivian (Cavender) Earley, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are two brothers, Lavern Waller and his wife, Jacqueline of Eagle Rock, Missouri and Gale Earley of Eureka Springs, Arkansas and one sister, Florence Smith and her husband, Rick of Arizona.

Richard moved at an early age to Eagle Rock, where he grew up and attended Cassville Schools. During the Vietnam War he served in the United States Air Force. For several years he was employed at Barn Steakhouse in Holiday Island as a cook and musician. His favorite pastime was playing his bass guitar.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.

Glen Dale Nicoll
(October 20, 1926 - June 4, 2015)

U.S. Veteran
Glen Dale Nicoll was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 20, 1926, to Woolford (Colonel) and Mary Nicoll. He went home to be with his Savior on June 4, 2015. To family and friends he was affectionately known as Sheik.

While attending high school he worked as a soda jerk at Wooten Drug Store. He graduated Cassville High School in 1945 and enlisted in the Army. In 1946, he married Helen Virginia Horine. To this union two sons were born. Christopher Glen and Scott Alexander. Helen died in 1995.

Glen was an interior decorator until he was elected County Assessor in 1968. He was elected to 8 terms and held this office for 32 years. He was elected President of the Missouri Assessors Association in 1994 and served on the Executive Board for 3 years. He was a member of Cassville Rotary Club where he was a past president, secretary and song leader. He was a member of Masons, Shriners and the American Legion.

He was a life-long member of First Christian Church, serving as an Elder, Deacon and song leader. He taught the High School Sunday School class for many years and enjoyed influencing young lives.

Glen married Frances Liddle on February 14, 1997.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Helen, 2 sons and brother Tom.

He is survived by his wife, Fran; 2 stepdaughters, Sue Hailicka and her husband, Paul and Sharon Blackketter; a step grandson, Brandon; 2 nieces, Ann Lassiter and her husband, Jim and Kay Baker and nephew, Nick Nicoll and his wife, Laurie. Great nephews and nieces, Jon Maloney, Laura Alipio, Matt Cardin, Dinah Cardin and Kim Nicoll; great-great nieces and nephews, LeeAnn Maloney, Lydia Alipio, Noah Alipio, Jonathan Beechum and Danny Ray LaFavor.

Visitation will be held at Fohn Funeral Home from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. Sunday, June 7.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 8, 2015, at Fohn Funeral Home with burial at Oak Hill cemetery, Cassville.

Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital in memory of Glen’s sons, Chris and Scott and may be mailed to Fohn Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Cassville, Missouri.

Gary A. Sartin
(July 10, 1938 - June 6, 2015)

Gary A. Sartin, age 76, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015, in his home.

He was born July 10, 1938, in Rogersville, Missouri, the son of Jasper Warren and Bessie Alice (Saddler) Sartin. On July 15, 1966, in Walnut Grove, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Linda Brown, who survives. Also surviving are five sons, Carl Sartin of Marionville, Missouri, Cavin Sartin and his wife, Pam of Ash Grove, Missouri, Charles Sartin of Jenkins, Missouri, Kenny Sartin of Redford, Iowa and Eric Sartin and his wife, Honnah of Cassville, Missouri; four daughters, Lisa Ferguson and her husband, Dennis of Marionville, Missouri, Juanita Spurlock and her husband, Corky of Aurora, Missouri, Melissa Sartin of Verona, Missouri and Angela Fisher of Purdy, Missouri; six brothers, Lindsey Sartin and his wife, Terri of Conway, Missouri, Ronnie Sartin and his wife, Nancy of Springfield, Missouri, Donnie Sartin and his wife, Linda of Conway, Missouri, Steve Sartin and his wife, Marie of Clever, Missouri, Keith Sartin and his wife, Cheryl of Republic, Missouri and David Sartin and his wife, Margret of Lockwood, Missouri; four sister, Sherry Rice and her husband, Walter of Springfield, Missouri, Cynthia Woodard of Springfield, Missouri, Patsy Simpson and her husband, Rick of Springfield, Missouri and Debbie Hodges and her husband, Jim of Marshfield, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren, plus two on the way.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Lisa Sartin.

Gary grew up in the Springfield, Missouri area. Thirty-nine years ago he and his family moved to Cassville, Missouri. For several years he and his wife operated a tour guide business at Crystal Caverns. He was a published author and philosopher. He was passionate about nature and hiked the Rocky Mountains and the Buffalo National Riverway.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 11, 2015, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Chaplain Craig Buck will conduct the services.

Henrietta Ilene Bowers
(December 19, 1940 - June 6, 2015)

Henrietta Ilene Bowers, age 74, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.

She was born December 19, 1940, in Washburn, Missouri, the daughter of Titus and Ina (Rose) Stephens. On May 10, 1959, she was united in marriage to Ferrell Bowers, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Kelly Cox and her husband, David Cox, of Cassville, Missouri; Tracy Taylor and her husband, Dr. Joseph Taylor, of Olathe, Kansas; one brother, Wesley Stephens and his wife, Pat Stephens, of Washburn, Missouri; one sister, Kathy Stephens and her husband, Jim Stephens, of Washburn, Missouri; six grandchildren: Amber Cox and her fiancé, Kyle Hudson, of Houston, Texas; Ryan Truman and her husband, John Truman, of Billings, Missouri; Miles McNeill and his fiancé, Tarah Collins, of Nixa, Missouri; Zach Taylor of Overland Park, Kansas; Olivia Taylor of Olathe, Kansas, and Elias Taylor of Olathe, Kansas; five great grandchildren: Airman Lane Truman-USN and his wife, Alyx; Brant Truman; Abbi Truman; Morgan Truman; Ella McNeill; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, one infant sister, Barbara Stephens and one infant granddaughter, Melissa McNeill.

Henrietta grew up in the Washburn community and was a 1958 graduate of Southwest High School, Washburn, Missouri. She later attended Crowder College, Neosho, Missouri. During her young adult years, she lived in Kansas City, Missouri, and was employed at Hallmark Cards. Throughout her middle years, she moved with her husband, encouraging him as he pursued a career with Pearle Optical. During the 1970s, 1980s and early 1990s, Henrietta and Ferrell relocated to Springfield, Missouri; Overland Park, Kansas; Chicago, Illinois, and Indianapolis, Indiana. Together, they enjoyed participating in numerous corporate travel opportunities to warm, exotic locales during these years.

In 1991, Henrietta and Ferrell chose to move back to Barry County, Missouri, and reside on their property, north of Cassville, to be near their grandchildren and extended family. Henrietta enjoyed vacationing across the United States with her husband, his brother and wife, Jerrell and Kay Bowers, and she especially enjoyed sharing a trip to the Rocky Mountains, with her aunt and uncle, Olene and Ernest Hendrix. She also treasured spending time with her grandchildren, who affectionately called her, “Grandma Hank.”

Throughout her life, Henrietta was known for her abundant energy and her artistic/creative talents. She excelled at sewing, gardening, photography and wood finishing. Additionally, she provided care and shelter for numerous stray cats and dogs, who found their way to her doorstep.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, June 13, 2015, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville, Missouri. Pastor Doyle Russell will conduct the services. Burial will be in Hickman cemetery, Washburn, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM, Friday, June 12, 2015, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville, Missouri.

Contributions may be made to Haven Of The Ozarks or the charity of your choice in memory of Henrietta.

Bruce C. Boswell
(April 2, 1943 - June 8, 2015)

Bruce C. Boswell, age 72, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 8, 2015, in Cassville Health & Rehab Center, Cassville, Missouri.

He was born April 2, 1943, in Long Beach, California, the son of Carlyle C. and Betty (Bailey) Boswell who preceded him in death.

Bruce is survived by two sisters, Linda Laverty of Cassville, Missouri, and Donna Brennan and her husband Jim of Shell Knob, Missouri; four nieces and nephews and twelve great nieces and nephews.

In his younger years his family lived in Lakewood, California, where he graduated from Lakewood High School. After graduation he joined the Army National Guard. He then went to work at Autonetics in Long Beach, California, as a courier involving the aerospace capsule.

In 1995 he moved from Long Beach, to Shell Knob, Missouri. He was a machine maintenance worker at George’s from where he retired.

No services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville, Missouri.

Lloyd Eugene Wright
(February 20, 1939 - June 9, 2015)

Lloyd Eugene Wright, age 76, of Exeter, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015, in Ozark Mountain Regional Health Care, Crane, Missouri.
On February 20, 1939, in Washburn, Missouri, Lloyd was born the son of Clarence and Neva (Snook) Wright, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Clarence Wright, Jr. and Jack Wright; and one sister Lorene Fletcher.

Surviving Lloyd are two brothers, Donnie Wright and his wife Patsy of Cassville, Missouri, and Bud Wright and his wife Mary of Washburn, Missouri.

Lloyd received his education in Seven Star School west of Washburn, Missouri. He had lived in Barry County his entire life, and worked on the construction of grain elevators. Fishing was his favorite pastime.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.

Catherine Reed Thompson
(November 15, 1923 - June 13, 2015)

Catherine Reed Thompson passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at Mercy Hospital, Rogers AR at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Howard G Thompson and eldest daughter Patricia. Catherine is survived by her children Howard Thompson, Jr and wife Robin and Nancy Thompson all of Claremore, OK, Sue Thompson of Phoenix, AZ and Linda and husband Dan Naughton of Lombard, IL. Her grandchildren are Catherine Jean Thompson, George Thompson and Danielle, Matthew and David Naughton. She was born on November 15, 1923, in Detroit, MI to George and Flora Heartwell.

Catherine graduated from Wayne State University. After her marriage to Howard they lived in Livonia, MI until 1981, and then relocated to Downers Grove, IL. Upon Howard’s retirement in 1986 they settled in Shell Knob, MO. Catherine and Howard enjoyed the many visits by family to their Table Rock Lake home. Besides spending time with her family her favorite pass times were needlework, reading suspense novels and playing bridge with her friends. In her lifetime she traveled to all 50 States and to Europe. She supported the local Boys Ranch and was an active member of Central Community United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 16, 2015, in Central Community United Methodist Church, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob, Missouri. Catherine will be laid to rest next to Howard and Patricia in Ridgeville cemetery near Amity, MO on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday, in Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob.

Jean "Jeannie" Elizabeth Wyatt
(November 23, 1933 - June 16, 2015)

Jean Elizabeth “Jeannie” Wyatt, age 81, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.

She was born November 23, 1933, in Eadsville, Kentucky, the daughter of Sam and Mollie (Grose) Winchester. On May 12, 1956, in New Castle, Indiana, she was united in marriage to Clifton Eugene Wyatt, who preceded her in death on November 22, 1989. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two grandchildren, Sara Wyatt and Shona Wyatt; five brothers, George, Tommy, Joe, William “Bill” and John and three sisters, Ruth, Margaret and Martha.

Surviving are two sons, Reverend Tony Wyatt and his wife, Linda and Gary Wyatt and his wife, Brenda all of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; one daughter, Connie Schieler and her husband, Kenny of Cassville, Missouri; two sisters, Bonnie Kyle of Mango, Florida and Jane Davidson of Harriman, Tennessee; twelve grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

Jeannie and her family moved from Kentucky to New Castle, Indiana when she was five years old. She received her education in New Castle and worked different jobs following high school. After she and Clifton were married they moved to Tampa, Florida then on to Exeter, Missouri, to make their home. Jeannie worked at Cassville Memorial Hospital and later at Eunice Thomas Elementary where she tutored children. She loved working with the children each day and helping them to learn. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and reading. She was an active member of New Life Temple United Pentecostal Church, Cassville, where she served as ladies’ auxiliary leader for several years. Jeannie worked hard sharing her time with others in hopes to be remembered as a loving and giving person.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 19, 2015, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Reverend Loy Bowen will conduct the services. Private family burial will be in Maplewood cemetery, Exeter, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.

Contributions may be made to New Life Temple Church in memory of Jeannie.

Margaret Elinor Aldridge
(December 13, 1931 - June 16, 2015)

Margaret Elinor Aldridge, age 83, of Washburn, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015, in her home.

She was born December 13, 1931, in Monett, Missouri, the daughter of Virgil S. and Frona J. (Carlin) Haddock. On December 25, 1949, she was united in marriage to Elery Grant Aldridge, who preceded her in death on December 3, 2002. Also preceding her in death were her parents.

Surviving are three sons, Pat Aldridge of Cassville, Missouri, James H. Aldridge of Exeter, Missouri and Gene R. Aldridge of Cassville, Missouri; one daughter, Ellen L. Foster of Washburn, Missouri; three brothers, Ralph Haddock of Cassville, Missouri, Raburn Haddock and his wife, Evelyn of Exeter, Missouri and Gerald Haddock and his wife, Alice of Cassville, Missouri; one sister, Janet Poyner of Exeter, Missouri; six grandchildren, Jamie Aldridge, Jeff Aldridge, Jason Aldridge, Christopher Foster, Kayla Foster and Kylie Foster and nine great grandchildren, Logan, Coy, Reyna, Ava, Lane, Abigaille, Trey, Jake and Whitney.

Margaret was a life-long resident of Barry County and attended Stoney Point School. For several years she was employed at Justin Boot Factor as a stitcher. She was a member of Victory Southern Baptist Church. She loved being with family, cooking and was known for her hot rolls.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, June 20, 2015, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Russell Bishop will conduct the services. Burial will be in Maplewood cemetery, Exeter, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.

Contributions may be made to Victory Southern Baptist Church in memory of Margaret.
