Minnie "Pauline" Staub
(September 15, 1926 - August 14, 2015)

Minnie “Pauline” Staub, age 88, of Purdy, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015, in her home.

She was born September 15, 1926, in Kirksville, Missouri, the daughter of Frank and Nora Jane (Banks) Graham who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were four brothers, Willard, Warren, Blackie and Roy Graham; two sisters, Bertha Kaler, and Marrietta Coyl and one grandson Mark Nize.

Surviving are six sons, Raymond Carel, Jr. and his wife Brandy of Portland, Oregon, James Carel and his wife Judy of Hamilton, Illinois, Paul Carel and his wife Loretta of Quincy, Illinois, Robert Carel and his wife Sherri of Davenport, Iowa, John Carel and his wife Malinda of Branson, Missouri and Harry Carel of Davenport, Iowa; three daughters, Margaret Botner of Purdy, Missouri, Pearl Mueller and her husband Frank of Weaver, Iowa and Ally Woody of Sugar Grove, Illinois; twenty six grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Pauline attended school in Hamilton, Illinois. She enjoyed being a waitress for many years in various restaurants. She married Raymond Carel, Sr. who preceded her in death and later was married to Henry Staub who also preceded her in death. In 1972, she moved back to Missouri from Fort Madison, Iowa. She was of the Baptist faith and loved her church, attending Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Cassville, Missouri.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 29, 2015, in The Point Baptist Church, Cassville. Pastor Dallas LaCaze will conduct the services. Burial will be in Illinois.

Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville, Missouri.

Heather Keesler
(June 13, 1974 - August 17, 2015)

Heather Keesler, age 41, of Boonville, Missouri, passed away Monday, August 17, 2015, in Mercy Hospital, Joplin, Missouri.

She was born June 13, 1974, in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of William and Susan (Hunsaker) Keesler. On July 7, 2012, in St. Louis, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Robert Walker, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Zachary Tyler Wubker of Exeter, Missouri, Ashton Harris and Joshua Harris both of Boonville, Missouri; one daughter Alisha Aldridge and her husband Jason of Exeter, Missouri; her father, William Keesler of Roy, Utah; her mother, Susan Rhinesmith and her husband Jerry of Boonville, Missouri; two brothers, John Smithey and his wife Alisa of West Point, Utah and Sean Smithey and his wife Jenny of Clinton, Utah; one sister, Aimee Simmons and her husband Shadd of West Point, Utah; one grandchild, Lane Aldridge of Exeter, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were two sons, Alexander and Christopher Harris and her grandparents.

Heather grew up and received her education in Ogden, Utah. For several years she was employed at Lifetime Products in Clearfield, Utah in quality control. Four years ago she moved from Clearfield, Utah to Boonville, Missouri to make her home. Some of her favorite pastimes were camping, crafts and being with her kids.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, August 20, 2015, in the Zachary Wubker home, 18304 Farm Road 1065, Exeter, Missouri.

Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville, Missouri.

Carolyn (McNeill) Rolan
(December 29, 1941 - August 19, 2015)

Carolyn Marie (McNeill) Rolan, age 73, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015, in Huguley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Burleson, Texas.

She was born December 29, 1941, in Neosho, Missouri the daughter of Price and Lorena (Wyatt) McNeill. She grew up in Rocky Comfort, Missouri, where she received her education. At the age of seventeen she married Bob Flaxbeard and to this union two children were born.

Carolyn and Bob moved from Rocky Comfort, Missouri to Kansas City, Missouri, where Bob worked at Avon Products. After eighteen years of marriage she and Bob divorced and she moved back to Rocky Comfort for four years. She then moved to Rogers, Arkansas and the War Eagle area, remaining there thirty years. In her life time she worked at Western Electric eight years and then in 1973, she became a nurses aid at Baptist Memorial Hospital and later in Monett Hospital. In 1978, she received her LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license and began working at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Surviving are one son, Robert “Terry” Flaxbeard and his wife Lisa of Burleson, Texas; one daughter, Stacy Marie Flaxbeard of Bentonville, Arkansas; one brother, Earl McNeill and his wife Kay of Rocky Comfort, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jesse and Alecia Nistrom and David, Joshua and Michael Flaxbeard and nieces and nephew, Cindy, Kevin, Kathy and Rita.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 24, 2015, in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Pastor Brett Randall will conduct the services.

Doris Jane Privitt
(September 13, 1941 - August 20, 2015)

Doris Jane Privett, age 73, of Granby, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015, in Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, Missouri.

She was born September 13, 1941, in Pierce City, Missouri, the daughter of Clarence and Teeny (Stewart) Lemon who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Charles and Marvin Lemon.

On May 19, 1960, in Ridgely, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Charles Leroy Privett who survives. She is also survived by three daughters, Diana Privett of Noel, Missouri, Victoria Fidler of Aurora, Missouri, and Sarah Torres of Reed Springs, Missouri; two sisters, Mary Hay of Ft. Scott, Kansas, and Anna Boyed and her husband Bradley of Noel, Missouri; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one great grandchild on the way.

Doris received her education in Wheaton, Missouri. She has lived her entire life in the Wheaton, Granby area. She was a protestant. Spending time with her family and friends was her greatest joy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Stephen "Steve" R. Soutee
(March 2, 1947 - August 20, 2015)

Stephen R. “Steve” Soutee, age 68, of Fairview, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015, in Springfield, Missouri.

He was born March 2, 1947, in Aurora, Missouri, the son of Oakley Dale and Betty Lou (Rickman) Soutee, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was a brother, Knial Soutee.

Surviving are one brother, Tommy Dale Soutee and his wife Tish of Marionville, Missouri; his step-mother, Dixie Soutee of Marionville, Missouri; six nieces and nephews, Matt Soutee and his wife Darren and Misty Hicks and her husband Charles all of Republic, Missouri, Tyler Soutee and Kaitlyn Soutee both of Branson, Missouri and Ashton Clark and Chauncey Clark both of Springfield, Missouri and seven great nieces and nephews.

Steve grew up and received his education at Marionville, where he graduated from high school. Steve attended undergraduate school at SMS in Springfield, Missouri and graduated law school at Oklahoma City University. He practiced law in Marionville over 20 years. He was a former racehorse owner and still an avid fan. In the last 10 years Steve had become a master gardener and gained a reputation for his smoked meats. He loved playing cards, for money or for free, and listening to his Cardinals. He left behind an impressive collection of Western memorabilia, along with friends all over the country.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 26, 2015, in IOOF cemetery, Marionville, Missouri, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.

Karen Sue Weathers
(September 26, 1962 - August 22, 2015)

Karen Sue Weathers, age 52, of Seligman, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2015, in Cassville Health and Rehab, Cassville, Missouri.

She was born September 26, 1962, in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Roy Edward and Jane Ellen (Weaver) Weathers.

Surviving Karen are her father Roy of Humble, Texas, and one brother Russell Weathers of Seligman, Missouri.

Her mother preceded her in death on June 23, 2014.

Karen attended schools in Houston, Texas, graduating from J. Frank Dobie High School. In 1995 she moved from Houston, Texas, to Rogers, Arkansas. Seventeen years ago she made her home with her brother in Seligman, Missouri.

She enjoyed playing games on the computer and watching movies. Karen was a Christian.

No services are planned. Her body has been donated to science per Karen’s wishes.

Bernadine "Bee" M. Beeson
(May 7, 1937 - August 28, 2015)

Bernadine M. “Bee” Beeson, age 78, of Granby, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 28, 2015, in her home.

She was born May 7, 1937, in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Theodore and Viola (Wheeler) Goossens. On October 24, 1959, in San Pedro, California, she was united in marriage to Milton “Dutch” Beeson, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Keith Beeson and his wife Gena of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three daughters, Chris Estep of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Vicky Jenkins and her husband Don R. of Archie, Missouri and Lindy Beeson of Granby, Missouri; three sisters, Mary Eastman of Port Angeles, Washington, Kathy Goossens of St. Louis, Missouri and Charlene Quitiquit and her husband Ernie of Seattle, Washington; two grandchildren, Rebecca Estep and Raymond Talley; two great grandchildren, Mavis Talley and Angelus Estep and several nieces and nephews, being especially close to Elizabeth Maldonado, Tamara Cavanaugh and Jonella Harlacher.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one sister (and best friend), Jody Wiseman and her Godmother, Mary Jane Anderson.

Bee grew up and received her education in California, graduating from San Pedro High School. For several years she resided in Oklahoma, moving from Cordell, Oklahoma to Granby in 2000. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Diamond. Some of her favorite pastimes over the years included bowling, sewing, showing dogs, reading and music. She also loved to sing and her family enjoyed her beautiful voice.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 31, 2015, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Reverend Jerry Nickle and Pastor Doyle Russell will conduct the services. Burial will be in Ennis cemetery, Cassville, Missouri.

Visitation will be 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Monday, in Fohn Funeral Home.

Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in memory of Bee.

Raymond Worth Upchurch
(July 20, 1960 - August 30, 2015)

Raymond Worth Upchurch, age 55, of Seligman, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015, in his home.

He was born July 20, 1960, in Denton, Texas, the son of Charles and Juanita (Meeks) Upchurch. On January 1, 2007, in Sparta, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Gail Boling, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Darrell Booher and his wife, Jamie of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; a step-daughter, Heather Vaughn and her husband Johnny of Frisco, Texas; two brothers, Richard Hayes and his wife Linda of Rogers, Arkansas and Johnny Rice and his wife Mary of Rogers, Arkansas; one sister, Celia Thompson of Rogers, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Austin, Wayne and Amanda; one great grandchild, Gabby and a cousin, Darrell Meeks and his wife Carrie of Bentonville, Arkansas. Darrell was Ray’s best friend in his youth.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Raymond grew up in Texas and then resided in Arkansas. Nine and a half years ago he moved from Rogers, Arkansas to Seligman, Missouri to make his home. He was employed as a supervisor for Superior Industries in Rogers, Arkansas. Some of his favorite pastimes were fishing, target shooting, all outdoor activities, socializing with friends and barbequing.

Services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.

Richard E. Christian
(August 19, 1941 - September 1, 2015)

Richard E. Christian, age 74, of Holiday Island, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015, in Mercy Hospital, Rogers, Arkansas.

He was born August 19, 1941, in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Herschel and Ella (Easley) Christian. On October 12, 1962, in Provincetown, Massachusetts, he was united in marriage to Judy Jason, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Keith Christian of Tucson Arizona, Darrell Christian and his wife Robin of Iola, Kansas and Michael Christian and his wife Shelly of Mulvane, Kansas; two sisters, Shirley McCabe and her husband Richard of Florissant, Missouri and Judi Morley of Georgetown, Texas and four grandchildren, Denton, Brandon, Nicholas and Peyton Christian.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Leona Wegs.

Richard grew up in Illinois and graduated from Brown County High School. He then graduated from Sandburg College in Galesburg, Illinois and then from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. After high school he served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. Much of his life was spent in Iola Kansas and Denver Colorado, where he was employed as a corporate engineer for Gates Rubber Company. He resided in St. Louis, Missouri for a while, moving from there to Holiday Island in 2003. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Holiday Island and the Holiday Island Golf Association. Some of his favorite pastimes were playing golf and building clocks.

Services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville, Missouri.

Contributions may be made to Holiday Island Men’s Golf Association, 1 Country Club Drive Holiday Island, Arkansas 72631 in memory of Richard.
