Warren Beacham

Warren G. Beacham, son of the late John Wesley Beacham and Ida Francis Snider Beacham, was born on October 30, 1920, at Kennett, Missouri, and died at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Thursday, February 27, 2003 at the age of 82. Mr. Beacham was a farmer and a resident of Bernie, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Wilma Pascal Moore on June 29, 1940 at Senath, Missouri. Mrs. Beacham survives at the home in Bernie. Besides his wife, other survivors include one son, Gary Beacham of Bernie; one daughter, Judy Biddle of Las Vegas, Nev., by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lawson Beacham, Leonard Beacham and George Beacham; by three sisters, Beatrice Brogdlen, Nancy Beacham, and Norma Jean Arnold. Visitation was held on Saturday, March 1 at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie. Funeral services will be conducted at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie today, Sunday, March 2 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. O.H. Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in the Kennett memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.

Donna F. Bunch

Donna Faye Bunch daughter of the late John Wesley and Georgia Ann Klee McRoy was born at St. Louis, and died on June 25, 2002 at St. Louis at the age of 46. Mrs. Bunch had spent her life in the St. Louis Community. She was an employee of Koller Enterprises, Inc. in St. Louis. Survivors include her fiance? Ronnie Lindsey of Fenton; two sons Terry Bunch of Park Hills, and Jerry Bunch of Fenton; one daughter, Tiffany Pearce of Arnold; three brothers, Robert McRoy of House Springs, Elmer McRoy of St. John, and Ben McRoy of St. Louis and three grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 29, at 11:30 a.m., at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.

Esther A. Daniels

Esther Alice Daniels, the daughter of the late Shirley and Gertrude May Barker was born near Lutesville, on January 22, 1919, and died at her daughters home in Linn, on June 25, at the age of 83. Mrs. Daniels was a former resident of Kinder and Puxico before moving to Florissant, in 1943. She had lived in Linn, for two weeks, and was of the General Baptist faith. On August 1, 1936 Esther was united in marriage to Hugh Daniels in Stoddard County, Mo. He preceded her in death on October 24, 1952, along with one sister, Earlene Morgan. Surviving are two sons; Larry H. Daniels of Summerland Key, Fla. and Jerald L. Daniels of Bellflower, one daughter; Judy S. Robertson of Linn, one brother; John Barker of Florissant, nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 28, at 2 p.m. at the Baker Cemetery in Lutesville, with Ken Robertson of Linn, officiating. Interment will follow in the Baker Cemetery in Lutesville, with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, in charge of arrangements.

Rosetta Cox

Rosetta Cox of Malden, daughter of George Kean and Lucille (Johnson) Kean, was born on February 21, 1929 in Greenville, and died at her residence in Malden, on June 24, 2002. She was United in marriage on Oct 28, 1943 to Arvel Elmer Cox, who besides her parents, preceded her in death on September 9, 1991. Mrs. Cox was a retired seamstress at Gossard Garment Manufacturing, and was a member of the Baptist faith Church. Surviving are; two sons, Dewayne and Ronnie Cox of Malden; two daughters, Peggy Cooper of Chesterfield and Shirley Brawner of Ballwin; eight brothers, James Kean of Malden, Sonny, Tom, Jim, Joe, Ted, Tiny and Darrin Kean; four sisters Wanda Marler, Ellen Masson, Ruth Oldham, and Loretta Bowling; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one great-grandson. Visitation was held Tuesday June 25, at 6 p.m. at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden, The Funeral Services were conducted by Rev. Dawsey Lee Brown Wednesday, June 26, at 10 a.m. at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden, Interment followed at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden with Landess Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Stevan D. Hicks

Stevan Dale Hicks, Sr., the son of Clifford and Mary George Hicks, was born in Bloomfield on Nov. 24, 1957 and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare Facility in Dexter on June 24, 2002, at the age of 44. Mr. Hicks had lived in Essex for several years and had lived in Dexter the past two years. He had worked in the Lasting Dept. of Missouri Industries and Hudson Foods until ill health forced his retirement. He was a member of the Clines Island General Baptist Church near Essex. On July 2, 1987 he was united in marriage to Jane Carman Dunnam in Malden, she survives of the home in Dexter. Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by two sons, Stevan Dale Hicks, Jr. of Bernie and Daniel Wayne Hicks of Doniphan; by one daughter, Mary Jean Zimmerman of Malden; by three grandchildren; by two brothers, Garry D. Hicks of Woodward, Okla. and Terry Hicks of Essex; and by four sisters, Peggy G. Hicks of Poplar Bluff; Teresa E. Lambert of Bloomfield, Kathy Robinson of Lawrence, Kan. and Donna A. Bryant of Dexter. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 26 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be conducted in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel on Thursday, June 27 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Joe Williams of Malden officiating. Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Mary Swinger

Mary Helen Swinger, daughter of the late Arzie Baldwin and Bertie Barnett Baldwin, was born on January 6, 1926 at Charter Oak, Missouri, and died at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Friday, February 28, 2003, at the age of 77. Mrs. Winger was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter, a very active member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #311 for 53 years and a resident of Dexter. She was united in marriage to Harry Swinger on August 22, 1942 at Bloomfield. Mr. Swinger survives of the home in Dexter. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Gary Swinger of Memphis, Tenn., and David Swinger of Dexter; by two daughters, Diane Pruett of El Paso, Texas and Cynthia L. Burnett of Hurley, Mo.; by five brothers, Arzie Baldwin Jr. of Essex, Bill Baldwin of Charter Oak, R.H. Baldwin of Cuba, Mo., Ron Baldwin of Benton, and Rick Baldwin of Sturdivant; by one sister, Cassandra Breece of Jackson; by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Baldwin and Albert Franklin "Dick" Baldwin and by one sister, Polly Pannebecker. Visitation was held Saturday evening, March 1, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. An Eastern Star service was conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 1. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Sunday, March 2, at the First United Methodist Church in Dexter with the Rev. Fred Leist officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Chris Cloninger

Chris Cloninger, son of Roy Cloninger of Dexter and the late Lena Lewis Cloninger, was born on Aug. 16, 1978, at Dexter and died at Dexter on Saturday, March 8, 2003, at the age of 24. He had been disabled and was a resident of Dexter. Survivors include his father, Roy Cloninger of Dexter; two brothers, Jerry Simpson of Bernie and Danny Simpson of Cape Girardeau; and one sister, Charlotte Bohnenstiehl of Alton, Ill. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2003, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2003, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Richard O'Neal officiating. Interment followed in the Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield.

Martin F. Britt

Martin F. Britt of Clarkton, son of Joseph F. and Ada G. (Davis) Britt, was born on August 28, 1930 in Kennett, and died at his residence in Clarkton, at the age of 71 on Monday, June 24, 2002. Joseph was married to Wanda (Cruce) Britt of Clarkton, on May 29, 1955, she is employed at the County Executive Director for the Department of Agriculture and was a former school teacher, she survives. Joseph was a United States Air Force veteran, having served during Korea. He received his BS in Agriculture from the University of Missouri and was a member of the Lynn Oak General Baptist Church in Clarkton since 1955. He served as a deacon for 35 years and served as the church clerk for 40 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by; two sons, Shannon Britt of Eureka and Phillip Britt of Kennett; four grandsons; and by three sisters. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 25, from 6-9 p.m. at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden, Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, June 26, at 2 p.m. at the Landess Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bill Orrr and Rev. Jack Allen officiating. Interment will follow at the Dunklin County Memorial Gardens in Kennett with Landess Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to : Siteman Cancer Center/Prostate Cancer Research, Washington University/Barnes Hospital, Campus Box 8509, 4444 Forest Park Blvd., St. Louis, Mo. 63108-2292
