Predeceased: father, Dennis Pousson, mother, Theresa Pousson nee Reed. Organizations: Jim served in the navy during the Korean War, with a tour of duty from 1949-1954. He served on the aircraft carrier Kearsarge. He retired after 32 years as an aeronautical engineer for McDonnell Douglas. His work included aircraft accident investigation. He was an avid sailor and sailboat manufacturer of Comets and Enterprises. As a 4th degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus, he was an active member for over 50 years with this charitable organization. He was also a member of the VFW. Upon retirement Jim and Sue moved to Arkansas where they raised cattle and were very active in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He was chairman of the building committee for its new church. Jim and Sue moved back to the St. Louis area in 2005. Jim touched many lives and will be deeply missed.

Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, dear husband of Sophia Bax nee Kempker, loving father to Gregory (Andrea) Bax, and Karla Sitzes, dear brother of Leonard, Jerry (Theresa), Raymond (Theresa), Anthony (Jeanie), Sylvester (Marge) Bax, Eleanor (Leander) Bax, Dorothy (Leo) Frazier, Mildred (Harold) Blomberg, loving brother-in-law of Hugo Blomberg, beloved grandfather of Nicole & Clay Bax, and Alex & Katelyn Sitzes, dear son-in-law of Bernadine Kempker. He is preceded in death by his father and mother Phillip and Augusta Bax, his sisters, Irene Blomberg and Catherine Bax, and his father-in-law, Anton Kempker. John did a Tour of Duty in Vietnam, February 1969 - February 1970. While in Vietnam he served as Cannoneer on a 105 Artillery Gun, with the First Howitzer Section, Battery C, 7th Battalion, 13th Artillery. In addition to his normal duties within the section, he completely rebuilt every personnel bunker within the Battery. Because of John’s knowledge of carpentry, the battery personnel enjoyed living in not only strong, dry, comfortable quarters, but also quarters that were nice in appearance. All of John’s family THANK him for all he has done for his country and most of all THANK GOD he came home safely. His Grandkids call him their Hero for helping to save our country. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church – New Melle, Carpenters Union #32, and the New Melle Horseshoe Club. He loved to fish and hunt, and loved spending time outdoors.

She was a parent volunteer for more than 30 years, holding offices in the PTA, including 4 years on the Hazelwood PTA council. She served on the Hazelwood Board of Education for 21 years (12 as president). She was a member of Church of the Master.

Lohmeyer, Karen A. nee Coffey, 68 of Warrenton, passed away Saturday May 26, 2012 at her home. She was born November 18, 1943 in St. Louis, MO the daughter of Holly and Albert Coffey. Karen grew up in Ferguson and graduated in 1961 from Ferguson High School. She was employed as an administrative assistant for a Nationwide Insurance Company for 43 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Holly Coffey. Karen is survived by her beloved husband Skip Lohmeyer. Dear mother of Kimberly Gish, Kristine Drehkoff, Kathryn Drehkoff, Josh Wear. Dear step-mother of Skip Lohmeyer, Brett Lohmeyer, Suzanne Duman. Loving grandchildren, Veronica Drehkoff, Kodi Butler, Colton Lohmeyer, Alexander and Scott Duman, other relatives and friends.
