BAUER
Marie Bauer, 86, Taos, died Feb. 13, 2000, at her home.
She was born Oct. 11, 1913, in Maries County, a daughter of Henderson and Rosa Wodohodsky Doyel. She was married Nov. 8, 1945, in Freeburg, to Victor Bauer, who died March 13, 1994.
A 1931 graduate of Cleveland High School, near Dixon, she was a homemaker. She was a past member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Dixon, and currently was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Taos.
Survivors include one daughter, Vicki Hagenhoff, Taos, and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. Kevin Clohessy will officiate. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Holy Guardian Angels Cemetery, Brinktown. The Rev. Walter Reisinger will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, Taos, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Our Parish - Our Future Fund at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
HALL
John Wayne "Butch" Hall, 50, Barnett, died Feb. 13, 2000, at his home.
He was born March 6, 1949, in St. Joseph, a son of John E. Jr. and Osa Mae Ritchie Hall. His parents survive in Versailles. He was married June 10, 1967, in Versailles, to Ruth Stanley, who survives at the home.
He owned and operated Hall's Lawn Care and Maintenance, Sedalia, for the past nine years.
Other survivors include: four sons, John Hall, Luke Hall and Matthew Hall, all of Eldon, and Marc Hall, Barnett; two daughters, Amy Farris and Alice Bishop, both of Eldon; one brother, David Hall, Versailles; two sisters, JoAnn Rumbo, Versailles, and Patti Wreidt, Centralia; and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Rod Campbell will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
KLING
Mary Frances Kling, 87, Holts Summit, died Feb. 13, 2000, at Jefferson City Manor Care Center.
She was born Nov. 1, 1912, in Meadville, a daughter of Omar and Sarah Tripplett Evans. She was married Dec. 12, 1967, in Laclede, to Byron E. Kling, who survives at the home.
A graduate of Laclede High School, Laclede, she received her teaching certificate from the Missouri State Teacher's College, Kirksville, and her master's degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She was a teacher for more than 30 years, teaching grade school in South Eagle and high school in Brookfield and Meadville. She taught college courses in Burlington, Iowa. She also worked for Henderson Produce Company, Laclede.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Brookfield, and past member of First Baptist Church, Laclede, where she played the organ and piano. She was a member of the Distributive Education Clubs of America, several card clubs and Brookfield Country Club.
Other survivors include one son, David Kling, Holts Summit, and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church, Brookfield. The Rev. Page Foster will officiate. Burial will be in Laclede Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, Jefferson City, and from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church, Brookfield.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
TUNIS
Charles Almon Tunis, 77, Versailles, died Feb. 12, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 20, 1922, in Morgan County, a son of Lemual and Bessie Monteer Tunis. He was married May 29, 1944, to Juanita Sidebottom, who survives at the home.
He was a member of Family Worship Center, Versailles.
Other survivors include: three sons, William H. Tunis, Genoa, Colo., Lemual C. Tunis, state of California, and Jesse L. Tunis, Versailles; two daughters, Linda L. Bowman and Mary J. Stewart, both of Versailles; one brother, Jack Parkson, Kansas City; one sister, Murel McKinley, Springfield; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
One son, Harold R. Tunis, and three grandchildren preceded him in death.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Danny Owsley will officiate. Burial will be in Parkson Cemetery, near Laurie.
Visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday.
HASLAG
Nellie L. Haslag, 54, Linn, died Feb. 13, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Aug. 19, 1945, in Linn, a daughter of Thomas E. and Mildred Shouse Cavender. She was married Nov. 28, 1963, in Linn, to Ted Haslag Jr., who survives at the home.
A graduate of Linn High School, she worked at Von Hoffmann press for 33 years and was a member of St. George Church, Linn.
Survivors include: five sons, Jeff Haslag, Paul Haslag, Eric Haslag, Bradley Haslag and Jim Haslag, all of Linn; three brothers, George Cavender, Grandview, and John Cavender and Allen Cavender, both of Linn; four stepbrothers, Ted Cavender, Eureka, Nelson Cavender, Pacific, Jim Cavender, Ocala, Fla., and Harold Cavender, Westphalia; four sisters, Linda Brandt, Linn, Mary Kinney, Vancouver, Wash., Betty Renn, Jefferson City, and Frances Burriss, Kansas City; and six grandchildren.
One son, Gregory L. Haslag, died Sept. 18, 1998.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. George Church. The Rev. Paul Hartley will officiate. Burial will be in St. George Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the St. George Activity Center.
DIDIER
Marvin Henry Didier, 83, Jefferson City, died Feb. 14, 2000, at Jefferson City Manor.
He was born Aug. 17, 1916, in Fay, Okla., a son of Henry and Mabel Burnison Didier. He was married Feb. 20, 1945, in Reno, Nev., to Maxine A. Okrusch, who died Jan. 10, 1992.
During World War II, he was employed as a pipefitter with the Navy at shipyards in Pearl Harbor and San Francisco. He farmed in Caldwell, Idaho, for 20 years before moving to Linn in 1965.
He worked as a sprinkler fitter with Local 281, Alsip, Ill., until his retirement in 1983.
Survivors include: one daughter, Linda Wilson, Jefferson City; two sisters, Henrietta Helzer, Thomas, Okla., and Yvonne Widener, Amarillo, Texas ; and one granddaughter.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Ed Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in St. Martins Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
FITZPATRICK
Services were today for Margaret Fitzpatrick, 70, Union, formerly of Vienna, who died Feb. 13, 2000, at Sunset Health Care, Union.
She was born Aug. 10, 1929, in Maries County, a daughter of Dennis and Margaret Reichel Fitzpatrick.
She was a member of the Catholic church.
Survivors include: one son, John Jaegers, St. Louis; two daughters, Evelyn Suarez and Mary Cahn, both of St. Louis; one brother, Walter Fitzpatrick, University City; one sister, Agnes Luebbert, St. Louis; and two grandchildren.
Services were at Visitation Catholic Church, Vienna. The Rev. John Schmitz officiated. Burial was in Visitation Cemetery, Vienna.
Memorials are suggested to Masses.
Arrangements were under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
HENDRICKSON
Eldro M. Hendrickson, 80, Owensville, died Feb. 13, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born July 29, 1919, near Oak Hill, a son of James A. and Bessie McWilliams Hendrickson. He was married Jan. 21, 1942, in Steelville, to Irene Spurgeon, who preceded him in death.
An Army veteran of World War II, he worked in a shoe factory.
Survivors include: two sons, Carl H. Hendrickson, Owensville, and the Rev. Larry H. Hendrickson, Jefferson City; one daughter, Catherine Mistler, Owensville; one brother, Ervin Hendrickson, Cuba; one sister, Celesta Spurgeon, Owensville; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home, Owensville. The Rev. Dean Catlett will officiate. Burial will be in Licklider Cemetery, Cuba.
Visitation will be from 4:30-9 p.m. today.
KLIETHERMES
Anton M. Kliethermes, 79, St. Elizabeth, died Feb. 14, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Care Center.
He was born June 29, 1920, in St. Elizabeth, a son of Herman and Mary Magdalena Volmert Kliethermes.
He was a farmer. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth, and the Holy Name Society.
Survivors include: one brother, Otto Kliethermes, O'Fallon; and one sister, Delphine Schanzmeyer, Jefferson City.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. The Rev. John Degnan will officiate. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rekus Funeral Home, St. Elizabeth, with a rosary at 7 p.m.
