Nora E. Foster
July 19, 1911 - March 8, 2013

Nora E. Foster, 101, of Marshall, MO, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel with Rev. Claude Fields officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Marshall Baptist Temple.

Nora was born on July 19, 1911, in Slater, MO, the daughter of the late Albert Henry and Mable Howard Henry. She was a 1929 graduate of Slater High School and on February 16, 1930, she married Marshall (Musty) Mustain and he preceded her in death on June 23, 1964. On December 15, 1968, in Marshall, she married Ralph I. Foster who preceded her in death on December 30, 1971. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of Marshall Baptist Temple and the Friendship Club.

Nora is survived by three daughters, Helen Dickson of Marshall, Judy Masters of Warsaw, MO, and Sharla Rodden of Marshall; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Audrey Irvin of Columbia, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nora was preceded in death by two sons, Albert Mustain and Dale Mustain; one grandson, Ryan Bradshaw; one granddaughter, Teresa Mustain; three sisters, Doris Blum, Irene Fortney and Myrtle Henry; and three brothers, Howard, Roy, and Karl Henry.

Michael Dean Wilckens, Jr.
April 15, 1984 - March 5, 2013

Michael Dean Wilckens, Jr., 28, of Columbia, MO, formerly of Concordia, MO, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at his home in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Concordia with Rev. R. Lee Hagan officiating. Burial will be in Higginsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Phoenix House of Columbia or family choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.

Born April 15, 1984, in Sweet Springs, he was the son of Mike Wilckens, who survives of Concordia, and Brenda Eckhoff Jones (Jeff), who survives of Odessa. He was a 2003 graduate of Concordia High School and attended WyoTech of Laramie. He was employed at Phillippe’s Auto Body Shop in Columbia where he was an excellent auto body repairman. While in Columbia he joined Trinity Lutheran Church, where he was currently a member.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sisters: Jessica Workman of Concordia, Ashley Wilckens of Jefferson City, and Christy Wilckens of Concordia; his paternal grandmother, Carol Wilckens of Concordia; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lester Wilckens; maternal grandparents, Linda Harms and Gertrude Eckhoff; and one uncle, Jeff Wilckens.

Samuel Jesse (Sam) Quick, Sr.
April 21, 1929 - March 2, 2013

Samuel Jesse (Sam) Quick, Sr., 83, of Carrollton, MO, formerly of Marshall, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Life Care Center of Carrollton.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Cremation and private inurnment will be held in Blue Lick Cemetery in Saline County at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.

Born April 21, 1929, in rural Hardin, MO, he was the son of the late Jesse Hartwell Quick and Esther Ethel Ryan Quick. He served in the U.S. Army from March of 1951 to 1953. On April 26, 1953, he married Nadine Glenn who preceded him in death on May 15, 2005. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in April of 2003. Over the years he was employed with Hogan Brothers, Thrifty Gas, Barry Electric, Quick Enterprises and Marshall Habilitation Center, where he retired from in April of 1994. He joined the Army National Guard in June of 1979 serving until July of 1987 where he was as a cook.

Survivors include one daughter, Berneta Quick of Lincoln, MO; four sons, Byron Quick and wife Jennifer of Marshall, Robert Quick and wife Carol of Marshall, Oran Quick and wife Fay of Marshall and Sam Quick, Jr. of Sedalia; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Mae Wooden of Norborne, MO and Marilyn Rose Moore of Kansas City, KS ; one brother, Michael Quick of the state of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Krause.

Alma Agnes Newberry (01/15/09)
Alma Agnes Newberry, 90, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Salem, Ark., daughter of the late Herbert Howard and Dorothy Alena (Hall) Isom, was born April 12, 1918, in El Moro, Colo. She died Jan. 3, 2009, in St. Louis. Alma was united in marriage to William Henry Newberry on Feb. 14, 1937, at Littleton, Colo. She was a homemaker and a member of the Salem Church of Christ

Emma Hulsey (01/15/09)
Emma Emilie Herbold Hulsey was born Oct. 30, 1907, at Thayer, Mo., the 12th child of August Herbold and Henriette (Hattie) Zelmore Hebold and died Jan. 2, 2009, in Norwich, N.Y., at the age of 101. She was married June 14, 1929, to Noble Hulsey.

Thurman Lee Sorrell (01/15/09)
Thurman Lee Sorrell was born the son of Alsia James Sorrell and Bessie Mable Reynolds Sorrell on June 1, 1937, in Myrtle, Mo., and died Jan. 5, 2009, in Mountain Home, Ark.

Luie Roberts (01/15/09)
Luie Newman Roberts, 71, of Alton, Mo., was born Oct. 19, 1937, in Alton, Mo., and died Jan. 10, 2009, in Springfield, Mo. Luie grew up in the Riverton community and graduated from Alton High School. He was married to Anna Marie German on June 29, 1956, and worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture before retiring on March 1, 2003.

Hurshel Sandridge (06/01/06)
Hurshel Homer Sandridge, died May 23, 2006, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Mo. at the age of 76 years. He was born April 27, 1930, in Thayer, Mo., to the late Ike and Julia Rogers Sandridge. He was united in marriage March 16, 1951 in Tulsa, Ok, to Judy Miller who preceded him in death Feb. 7, 1976. He was united in marriage Nov. 12, 1976 in Thayer, Mo., to Sondra Hare.

Marles G. Mayberry (06/08/06)
Marles G. Mayberry, 47, of Versailles, Mo., died May 28, 2006, at St. Mary's Health Center. She was born Feb. 14, 1959, in Bridgeton, Mo., the daughter of Carles F. and Frances C. Allen Mayberry, both deceased. A resident of the Central Missouri area for the past seven years, she graduated from Ft. Zumwalt High School in O'Fallon, Mo., and Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Bessie Crawford (06/08/06)
Bessie Marie Crawford, died May 30, 2006, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, at the age of 86. She was born June 15, 1919, in Matthews, Mo., daughter of the late John Harvey and Maudie Marie (Horn) Duckworth. She was united in marriage Aug. 26, 1933, in New Madrid, Mo., to John Loren Crawford who preceded her in death Dec. 19, 1995.
