MILLER
Claudia Murdock Miller, 78, Versailles, died June 1, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Aug. 10, 1921, in Holden, a daughter of Fay and Ella Smith. She was married to Clifford Virgil Murdock, who died Jan. 5, 1975. She later was married to Raymond Miller, who died Aug. 17, 1997.
A homemaker, she was a member of the United Methodist Church, Versailles.
Survivors include: one son, Dan Murdock, Versailles; two daughters, Shirley Mutz, Joplin, and Patti Hibdon, Oak Grove; one sister, Opal Woolery, Pleasant Hill; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Gary DeWitt will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
SCHMIDT
Porter Teancum Schmidt, infant son of Harvey H. and Cindy L. Alberts Schmidt, Holts Summit, was stillborn June 1, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
His parents survive at the home.
Other survivors include: two brothers, Cameron Schmidt and Cody Schmidt, both of the home; three sisters, Lysje Schmidt, MacKinzee Schmidt and Rebekah Schmidt, all of the home; paternal grandparents, Douglas Schmidt and Ardie Schmidt, both of Lavern, Minn.; maternal grandparents, John and Jolene Alberts, Jefferson City; paternal great-grandmother, Eloise Wohlford, Lavern; and maternal great-grandmothers, Ruth Francom, Jefferson City, and Mollie Alberts, Ogden, Utah.
Graveside services will be at 8 a.m. Saturday in Riverview Cemetery. Bishop James Layton will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints-Fulton Ward, 1603 Kingswood Drive, Fulton, Mo. 65251.
Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Home.
CALVERT
David Carl Calvert, 67, Independence, died June 1, 2000, at the Medical Center of Independence.
He was born Aug. 11, 1932, in Springfield. He was married to Joan Calvert, who survives at the home.
A graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia and Army veteran, he was a civil engineer for the Missouri Department of Transportation and a member of Sycamore Hills Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: three sons, Bob Calvert, Wichita, Kan., Jim Calvert, Overland Park, Kan., and Larry Calvert, Lee's Summit; one brother, Donald Calvert, Jefferson City; one sister, Dorothy Donley, Rock, Kan.; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Speaks Suburban Chapel, Independence. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Lake Cemetery, Lamar.
Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials are suggested to the Sycamore Hills Baptist Church Building Fund.
HONSE
Gerald Honse, 62, Vienna, died June 1, 2000, at his home.
He was born May 12, 1938, in Maries County, a son of Carl and Myrtle Crum Honse. His mother, Myrtle Chambers, survives in Vienna. He was married July 12, 1958, in Vienna, to Mattie Lou Doyel, who survives at the home.
A lifelong resident of Maries County, he worked for Langenberg Hat Company, Vienna, and Kent Long Construction, Rolla. He ran his own construction and repair business, developed a mobile home park in Cedar Hills, and owned and operated Vienna Auction House and Flea Market. He was a member of Missouri Campers on Mission, Missourians on Mission, and the First Baptist Church, Vienna, where he served as a deacon, Sunday school director, church training director and trustee.
Other survivors include: four sons, Jerry Honse, Affton, Gary Honse, Dixon, Larry Honse and Thomas Honse, both of Vienna; three brothers, Raymond Honse, St. Charles, Bill Honse, Owensville, and Dan Honse, Belle; one sister, Shirley Nixon, Rolla; seven grandchildren and three step grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Cameron Moles and the Rev. LeRoy Nixon will officiate. Burial will be in Little Flock Cemetery, Vienna.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today and from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sunday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.
BYRNS
Allen Leon Byrns, 88, Jefferson City, died June 1, 2000, at Oak View Living Center.
He was born Nov. 24, 1911, in Mitchell, Neb., a son of Myron and Jennie Barragree Byrns. He was married to Mary Louise Minor, who survives at the home.
He attended school in Broken Bow, Okla., and graduated from Naval School in Alameda, Calif. He was a member of the Christian Church, Fleet Reserve and American Legion, Roscoe Enloe Post 5.
He served in the Navy for more than 20 years, and he worked as a contractor and licensed engineer.
Other survivors include: one son, Richard Russell, Jefferson City; four daughters, Linda Harmon, Ashland, Helen Russell, Jefferson City, Marie Byrns, Pleasanton, and Cleta Harrison, Hartsburg; one brother, Jack Byrns, Wendell, Idaho; four sisters, Lohoma Brisco, Coleman, Okla., Juanita Jackson, Coalgate, Okla., Mary Lott, Wilburton, Okla., and Patsy Brakehill, Nacogdoches, Texas ; and six grandchildren.
One daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" Hillen, died April 21, 2000.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Bart Larson will officiate.
Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. today.

ACORD
Brian Scott Acord, 27, Jefferson City, died June 2, 2000, at his home.
He was born March 6, 1973, in Olathe, Kan., a son of Dennis and Kathy Yvo-nne Wall Acord, who survive in Jefferson City.
He attended Iberia R-5 School and Jefferson City High School.
He was employed with Chesebrough-Pond's and Home Health Agency and currently was employed in transformer manufacturing with ABB Power T&D Co.
Other survivors include his paternal grandmother, Ruby Acord, Dixon.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. The Rev. David L. Avery will officiate. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.

BRUNER
John E. Bruner, 61, Linn Creek, died June 2, 2000, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.
He was born Feb. 18, 1939, in Cuba, a son of George H. and Leota May Alcorn Bruner. He was married June 21, 1999, in Springdale, Ark., to Robin Watson, who survives at the home.
He owned and operated J. Bruner's Restaurant in Osage Beach for 20 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Osage Beach.
Other survivors include: one son, John Bruner, Osage Beach; one daughter, Deanna Bruner, Linn Creek; two stepsons, Donnie Trandum, Laurie, and Levi Trandum, Montreal; one stepdaughter, Tanya Borlase, Kansas City; three brothers, Bill Bruner, Cuba, Ron Bruner, Waynesville, and Jack Bruner, Costa Rica; three sisters, Deloris Young, Cuba, Lou Cruse, Boss, and Deanna Youngman, Columbia; and four stepgrandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Harper Chapel United Methodist Church, Osage Beach. The Rev. Chris Oetting will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Linn Creek.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.
Memorials are suggested to Dewey's Toys For Tots or the Dream Factory, both of Osage Beach.
FORCK
Helen Catherine Forck, 78, Taos, died June 3, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 11, 1922, in Taos, a daughter of August and Elizabeth Mary Wilbers Forck.
She was employed by International Shoe Co., Pope Drug Store and St. George Laundry.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Taos. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., and from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or Masses.
HUNTER
Ethan M. Hunter, infant son of Jeffrey B. Box, Sunrise Beach, and Jessica D. Hunter, St. Robert, died June 2, 2000, at Fort Leonard Wood Hospital.
He was born Oct. 31, 1999.
Other survivors include: maternal grandparents, Nancy and Steve Krider, Roach, and Richard and Julie Hunter, Blairstown; paternal grandparents, Randall and Gloria Samuelson, Sunrise Beach, and Rick Box, Killeen, Texas ; maternal great-grandparents, Kenneth and Sherry Scheuerman and Faye Krider, all of Camdenton, and Norbert and Joan Schmitz, Parnell; paternal great-grandparents, E.J. and Barbara Box and James and Maxine True, all of Sikeston, and Lawrence and Janet Samuelson, Lake Ozark; and great-great-grandmothers, Edith Richards and Faye Box, both of Sikeston.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Linn Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Rick Ginnings will officiate. Burial will be in Hunter Memorial Cemetery, Linn Creek.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today at Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton.

ROARK
Elba J. Roark, 71, Jefferson City, died June 3, 2000, at his home.
He was born May 18, 1929, in Jefferson City, a son of William E. and Ersa V. Jeffries Roark. He was married May 3, 1952, in Jefferson City, to Joan V. Hogg, who survives at the home.
A lifelong resident of the Mid-Missouri area, he attended schools in Cole County. He also attended Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, and graduated from the National Traffic Management Institute. He served in the Army for six years and in the Missouri Army National Guard for 17 years as a master sergeant.
He worked for the Jefferson City Police Department for 23 years as a sergeant. He also was a deputy with the U.S. Marshall Service at the Jefferson City Post Office for 10 years.
He was a member of the Missouri Peace Officers Association and the Mid-Missouri Major Case Squad; the charter president of the Missouri Concerns of Police Survivors; a life member of the American Police Hall of Fame, Miami; and a past member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Other survivors include: two sons, William E. Roark, Russellville, and Robert B. Roark, Jefferson City; two daughters, Rebecca A. Roark-Libbert and Linda S. Wilbers, both of Jefferson City; six sisters, Doris Meyter, Littleton, Colo., Ella Cebra, Highland, Ind., Bonnie Goddin, Jefferson City, Eva Wood, Eldon, Mary Jane Crum, Vienna, and Ersa M. Edwards, St. Louis; one brother, Larry Roark, Eldon; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Leslie B. Roark, on Dec. 10, 1991, and one grandson.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Freeman Mortuary. Graveside services and burial with military honors will be at Hickory Hill Cemetery, Hickory Hill.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday.
