DUMMERMUTH

Allen Lee Dummermuth, 39, Eldon, died Oct. 26, 2000, in Eldon.

He was born March 30, 1961, in  Jefferson City, a son of Donald and Faye Honeycutt Dummermuth. His parents survive in Eldon.

He was employed at Steve Dummermuth Construction.

Other survivors include: one son, Chancey Allen Dummermuth, Barnett; three brothers, Tommy Dummermuth, Steve Dummermuth and Larry Dummermuth, all of Eldon; one sister, Tammy Boyd, Eldon; and his grandmother, Maxine Dummermuth, California.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Wilford Whittle will officiate. Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

GALLEGOS

Juan "John" Gallegos, 82, Mary's Home, died Oct. 28, 2000, at his home.

He was born April 1, 1918, in Antonito, Colo., a son of Juan C. and Margarita DeHerrera Gallegos. He was married Aug. 21, 1970, in Alton, to Bonnie Bilyeu, who survives at the home.

He was a retired Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was Catholic.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Gloria Acguirre, state of California; five stepsons, Leroy Brockes, Mary's Home, Charles Moore, Moscow Mills, Harold Wayne Brockes, St. Thomas, William Bax Jr., Crocker, and Joseph Bax, Tuscumbia; six stepdaughters, Patsy Visser and Pamela Burks, both of Tuscumbia; Kathy Lepper, Mary's Home, Arlene Ghumm, St. Robert, Karen Brown, Dixon, and Elsie York, Crocker; one brother, Joe Gallegos, Antonito; one sister, Emily Gallegos, Antonito; 31 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

One grandson preceded him in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Bill Wilkerson will officiate. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Tuscumbia.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to the John Gallegos Memorial Fund.

HALL

Ansel Dalbert "Pappy" Hall, 94, Barnett, died Oct. 29, 2000, at Kidwell Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.

He was born Aug. 23, 1906, in Tebbetts, a son of John C. and Vita Myrtle Gosnell Hall. He was married Dec. 3, 1952, in Fulton, to Ruth Lillian "BooBoo" Farmer, who died Feb. 20, 1999.

He attended school in Tebbetts and was a member of the Methodist Church.

He was a farmer and worked at Tweedies Shoe Factory. He was shoe factory foreman for the Missouri State Department of Corrections for 23 years until his retirement.

Survivors include one son, J.O. Hall, Barnett, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Steve G. Riordan will officiate. Burial will be in Bull Cemetery, Callaway County.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested to the Arthritis Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.

HICKMAN

William G. "Bill" Hickman, 66,  Jefferson City, died Oct. 28, 2000, at his home.

He was born Nov. 22, 1933, in Bonne Terre, a son of Milton S. and Wilma Birdie Sanders Hickman. He was married April 2, 1955, in Bonne Terre, to Mildred Jean Young, who survives at the home.

He attended school in Bonne Terre before enlisting in the Army in 1950. In 1953 he joined the Air Force, where he served until his retirement in 1971 as a master sergeant. During his service in the Air Force, he was a pharmacy technician stationed in the United States and England.

After his retirement from the military, he worked for a pharmaceutical company. He owned a convenience store in Flat River and worked at the Missouri Division of Immunization, retiring in 1991.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the VFW and the American Legion.

Other survivors include: one son, William Scott Hickman,  Jefferson City; two daughters, Cheryl Jean Fisher, Columbia, and Janet Lynn Wright, Anabel; two brothers, James Darrell Hickman, Bonne Terre, and Charles Curtis Hickman, Desloge; one sister, Dorothy Jane Hickman Graf, Park Hills; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Freeman Mortuary. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of  Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri or the American Cancer Society.

JOHNSON

Anne R. Johnson, 65,  Jefferson City, died Oct. 29, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 13, 1935, in Lancaster, Pa., a daughter of George H. and Anna Martha Rich Risser. She was married May 20, 1956, in Donegal Springs, Pa., to Paul A. Johnson, who survives at the home.

She completed high school at Stephen's College, where she received an associate's degree in merchandising. She was a homemaker and a cave explorer. She was a surveyor at Mark Twain Cave, the Bridal Cave and several other Missouri caves.

She was a member of Capital City Christian Church. She was instrumental in the development, design and scenery of The Little Theatre, and also acted in Little Theatre plays.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Capital City Christian Church. The Rev. Gary W. Baker will officiate. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to the research of myotonic dystrophy.

THOMPSON

Mary Dean Thompson, 83, Tuscumbia, died Oct. 28, 2000, in  Jefferson City.

She was born March 22, 1917, in Miller County, a daughter of Roy E. and Ida Lee Maybell Wright Smith. She was married July 3, 1952, to Robert Lozell Thompson, who died March 17, 1993.

She taught in rural Miller County schools before moving to St. Louis, where she lived for 42 years. She was a cook at Louis and Clark School before returning to Miller County. She was a member of Saline Valley Church of Christ.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Sue Coffman, Tuscumbia.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Lloyd Parr will officiate. Burial will be in Gott Cemetery, Ulman.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to Beri Program for the Study of the Heart or The American Heart Association.

ZIMMER

Kaitlyn Ann Zimmer, infant daughter of Dale and Cindy Heckman Zimmer, Meta, died shortly after birth Oct. 27, 2000, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.

Other survivors include: one sister, Ashley Zimmer, of the home; paternal grandparents Vernon and Nancy Borgmeyer Zimmer, Brinktown; maternal grandparents Allan and Janice Heckman, Wardsville; paternal great-grandmother Mary Agnes Gray,  Jefferson City; maternal great-grandparents Frank and Lillian Dickneite,  Jefferson City, and John and Mary Lou Heckman, Folk.

Private services will be at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, Brinktown. The Rev. John Schmitz will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Visitation Interparrish Catholic School, P.O. Box 269, Vienna, Mo. 65582.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home, Meta.

LEUPOLD

Shirley Louise Leupold, 80,  Jefferson City, died Oct. 29, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born July 11, 1920, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of Roy E. and Fay Scott Leupold.

A graduate of  Jefferson City High School, she was deputy assessor at the Cole County Assessor's Office for more than 41 years until her retirement. She was a member of the  Jefferson City Women's Bowling Association and played on Tweedies Softball Team.

She is survived by cousins.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Riverview Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Scheperle will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to Heart of Missouri Humane Society.

Arrangements are under the direction of Buescher Memorial Home.

BAX

Victor Fritz Bax, 82, St. Elizabeth, died Oct. 29, 2000, at St. Mary's Health Center.

He was born Sept. 24, 1918, in St. Elizabeth, a son of Joseph H. and Anna Dickneite Bax.

A farmer, he was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the VFW Post 1003,  Jefferson City, and the American Legion 545, St. Elizabeth. He was a member of St. Lawrence Church and Holy Name Sodality, both in St. Elizabeth.

Survivors include one brother, Anton Bax, St. Elizabeth, and two sisters, Catherine Hoecker, St. Elizabeth, and Martha Berendzen,  Jefferson City.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth. The Rev. John Degnan will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Elizabeth Community Center, with a senior citizens rosary at 4 p.m. and a rosary at 8 p.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home, St. Elizabeth.
