TINDLE
Bill R. Tindle, 53, California, died Feb. 1, 2001, at his home.
He was born May 24, 1947, in Christian County, a son of Neil and Wilma McHaffie Tindle, who survive in Jefferson City. He was married Jan. 25, 1975, in Syracuse, to Fay Hibdon, who survives at the home.
He worked for the state of Missouri in the Office of Administration print shop as a machine operator for 27 years. He also worked as a press operator for the Boonville Daily News. He graduated from the Missouri School for the Deaf in 1965.
Other survivors include: two sons, Cutler H. Tindle and Kyle D. Tindle, both of the home; two daughters, Courtney D. Borts, Jamestown, and Hillary D. Tindle, Jefferson City; three brothers, Harold Tindle and Joe Tindle, both of Jefferson City, and Ben Tindle, Hallsville; and one sister, Wilda Morris, Hallsville.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Greg Morrow will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday.

MADDEN
Marie McCuine Madden, 88, Fulton, died Feb. 1, 2001, at her home.
She was born Feb. 2, 1912, near Danville, a daughter of Thomas E. and Clara Ann Thompson McCuine. She was married in 1941, to Claude Price, who died in 1976. She was married Jan. 5, 1989, to William Madden, who survives at the home.
She attended school in Montgomery County and nursing school in Sedalia where she received her LPN. She obtained her surgical technician designation from General Hospital, Philadelphia.
She was employed at the Fulton State Hospital; Bothwell Hospital, Sedalia; McCleary General Hospital, Excelsior Springs; and the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Versailles, where she retired in 1986. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Fulton.
Other survivors include: one brother, Charles Edward McCuine, Woodbridge, Va.; and three grandsons.
One stepson, James Black, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Murray Buschert will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Cemetery, Barnett.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army or Kingdom Hospice.
BILYEU
Adam William Bilyeu, 87, Linn, died Feb. 1, 2000, at Green Meadows Health Care Center, Linn.
He was born Sept. 2, 1913, in Camden County, a son of Richmond Bilyeau and Eara Nave Bilyeu. He was married in Fulton on July 30, 1932, to Mae Ora Kelsey. She preceded him in death on Nov. 7, 1987.
For 14 years, he was employed with Tweedie Foot Wear Corp. He later served as a mechanic with the Missouri Highway Department, retiring in 1978.
He was a U.S. Army Corps veteran. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include: a daughter, Carol A. Brockman, Holts Summit; and two grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son, John Paul Bilyeu.
Services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Dulle Trimble Funeral Home, Jefferson City. The Rev. John Hobratschk will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today.

EDDY
Edith A. Eddy, 98, Versailles, died Feb. 1, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born May 22, 1902, in Livermore, Iowa, a daughter of John and Sena Brovold Rummens. She was married Feb. 21, 1921, in Hardy, Iowa, to James Henry Eddy, who died Jan. 30, 1981.
She lived in Laurie for 56 years.
Survivors include: two sons, James J. Eddy, Gravois Mills, and Albert Eddy, Marshfield; one daughter, Grace Walters, Versailles; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, one step grandchild and three step great-grandchildren.
Two sons, Bill Eddy and Joe Eddy, one daughter, Blanche Sheneman and two grandsons preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Todd Forman will officiate. Burial in Versailles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

KING
Northern King, 67, Crocker, died Feb. 2, 2001, at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics, Columbia.
He was born Jan. 28, 1934, at Jacksboro, Texas , a son of Frank and Ruth Laird King. He was married May 13, 1961, in St. Joseph, to Emma Marie Reinke, who survives at the home.
He was in the military for 25 years and was a member of the Crocker VFW. He was a bus driver for the state for 18 years.
Other survivors include: one son, Mark King, Sarasota, Fla.; three daughters, Susan Litton, St. Joseph, Cheryl Stroot, St. James, and Kelly Walker, Bartlesville, Okla.; a brother, James King, Livingston, Texas ; four sisters, Eula Duncan, Silver City, N.M., Una Connors, Jacksboro, Texas , Doris Copeland, Wichita Falls, Texas , and Clemis Fauss, Jacksboro; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in the Long Funeral Home by the Birmingham-Martin Chapel, Crocker.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. today and from 12-1 p.m. Monday.
RAY
Wilson Dixon Ray, 70, Macks Creek, died Feb. 1, 2001, at Lake Regional Health Systems, Osage Beach.
He was born July 4, 1930, in Poplar Bluff, a son of Elbert and Sarah Perkins Ray.
He was raised in Oklahoma and at the age of 13 he moved with his family to California. He then returned to Poplar Bluff, later moving to Macks Creek.
He was employed as a supervisor for the Ben Turner Construction Company. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, the Fin and Feather Club of Texas and the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include: three daughters, Sharon Sexton and Janie Kneir, both of Poplar Bluff and Jeanie Ray, St. Clair; three sons, Steve Ray, Casagrande, Ariz., Mike Ray, Macks Creek, and John Ray, South Charleston, Ohio; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Carroll Ray, Wichita Fall, Texas .
He was preceded in death by a sister, Arlona, and his foster mother, Nell Jordan.
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. Paul Burns will officiate. Burial will be in Allee Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Camdenton.
STROTHER
Alma L. Strother, 84, Versailles, died Feb. 3, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City.
She was born June 20, 1916, in Morgan County, a daughter of Joe F. and Jerusha Bailey Hoskins.
She retired from the A&P Grocery Store in 1978 and was a member of the Westside Assembly of God Church, Sedalia.
Survivors include: a brother, Delbert Hoskins, Versailles; a sister, Ruth Marriot, Versailles; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Juanita Metcalf, in 1997, and an infant son.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. Burial will be in Big Rock Cemetery, near Barnett.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday.
ATWELL
Minnie C. Turrentine Atwell, 92, Iberia, died Feb. 3, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 19, 1908, in Miller County, a daughter of William J. and Florence I. Jeffery Atwell. She was married May 29, 1927, in St. Louis, to John Carroll Turrentine, who died March 29, 1966. She was married Oct. 8, 1977, in Iberia, to Thomas Leslie Atwell, who died July 14, 1991.
She moved to Iberia from St. Louis in 1947.
She was a member of Robert Morris Eastern Star Chapter 328, St. Louis, and the Iberia Community Club.
She worked as a stitcher in the shoe manufacturing business. She attended Iberia First Christian Church.
Survivors include: three daughters, Lois P. Kochenower and Florence Schubert, both of Iberia, and Geraldine Thompson, Cabool; one stepdaughter, Esther Groff, Iberia; one stepson, Thomas Atwell, state of Washington ; two brothers, Harry Atwell, Iberia, and David Allen Atwell, St. Charles; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; step grandchildren; step great-grandchildren; and step great-great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Doris Louise Turrentine, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Iberia First Christian Church. The Rev. Stan Way will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery, near Dixon.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia.

GERHART
Leland R. Gerhart, 53, Overland Park, Kan., died Feb. 2, 2001, at his home.
He was born Oct. 24, 1947, in Latham, a son of Raymond and Anna Ruth Rohrbach Gerhart. His father survives in California. He was married July 8, 1972, to Anne Folrath, who survives at the home.
He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1969 with a bachelor's degree in business administration-accounting. He moved to Kansas City and joined the accounting firm now known as KPMG. He became a partner of KPMG in 1978 and left in 1985 to become president of Home Savings. In 1991, he became a partner of J.D. Reece Realtors, where he was chief financial officer and currently was the chief operating officer.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Julie Paige Houts and Kelly McConnell Gerhart, both of Overland Park; three brothers, Larry Gerhart, Grandview, David Gerhart, Columbia, and Norris Gerhart, California; and three sisters, Linda Tindle, Hallsville, Joyce Dameron, Sedalia, and Nancy Bochat, Jefferson City.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Colonial Presbyterian Church, Kansas City. Inurnment will be in Johnson County Memorial Gardens Columbarium.
