KRAUS

Herbert John Kraus, 83, of  Jefferson City, died Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at his residence.

He was born on July 22, 1919 in St. Thomas, MO, the son of John Sebastian Kraus and Katherine Lueckenotte Kraus. He was married on June 19, 1948 in  Jefferson City to Caroline Anna "Booty" Brauner who survives at the home.

He was employed in carpentry and construction work for several companies through the years until retiring in 1982. Mr. Kraus was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church; Holy Name Society; American Legion Post No. 5; and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and gardening.

Other survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Robert Mergen,  Jefferson City; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Colleen Kraus and Timothy and Kim Kraus, all of  Jefferson City; and four grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church. The Rev. James M. Smith will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, 3210 N. Ten Mile Drive,  Jefferson City, MO 65109, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Additional visitation will be 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Boone Hospital Home Care Hospice, 3315 Berrywood Drive, Columbia, MO 65201; St Peter Church Capital Improvement Fund, 216 Broadway,  Jefferson City, MO 65101; or a charity of the donor's choice.

LINEBARGER

Mrs. Mary Ruth Linebarger, age 82 years, of  Jefferson City, Mo., died Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at the Lake Ozark Retirement Center, Lake Ozark, Mo.

She was born March 12, 1921 at Harrison, AK, the daughter of Ernest and Grace Mae Hayes Rogers, both deceased. She was married on October 15, 1944 at Camp Hood, TX to Walter B. Linebarger, who survives at the home.

Mrs. Linebarger graduated from Harrison High School, Harrison, Arkansas. A homemaker, Mrs. Linebarger has been a resident of the Central Missouri area since 1951. Mrs. Linebarger enjoyed her family, working in the flower garden, and cooking. Survivors include: one son, Wally Linebarger of Dallas, TX, two daughters, Sharon Bowie of McKinney, TX and Ann Wilson of  Jefferson City, MO; five grandchildren, Tabetha Gamboa, Sarah Linebarger, Karen Linebarger, Justin Richard, and Catherine Linebarger; one great granddaughter, Ana Gamboa.

Visitation will be at the Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2003 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Thomas W. Nelson officiating.

Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to The American Lung Assn. or the Alzheimers Disease and Related Disorders Assn. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

WAID

Teddy Gene Waid, 33, of Dixon, died Wednesday, July 9, 2003, in Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla, from cancer.

He was born October 12, 1969 at Joplin, a son of Robert Waid and Lavon (Cook) Waid Reeves. He was employed at Quaker Window Products Co., Freeburg.

Survivors include: one son, Michael Werdelhausen,  Jefferson City; his mother, Lavon Waid Reeves, Dixon; three sisters, Tausha Waid Street, Vienna, April Waid Tatro, Crocker, and Kalee Reeves Beal, Dixon.

Visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, July 11, 2003, in the Long Funeral Home Chapel, Crocker.

Memorial Service will be held at 7 P.M., Friday, July 11, 2003, in the Long Funeral Home Chapel, Crocker.

WHEELER

Juanita "Bobby" Mae Wheeler, age 77, Lamar, MO, died Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at Freeman West, Joplin, MO.

She was born February 25, 1926 in Lamount, OK, the daughter of Jack and Faye "Redding" Crissup. She was married July 13, 1947 to Robert Wheeler, who survives. Other survivors include: two daughters, Pam Muse of Fenton, MO and Belinda Adams of Peculiar, MO; one sister, Betty Rodebush of Lamar, MO; three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday at the Lohmeyer-Konantz Funeral Home Chapel in Lamar, MO. Interment will be in Lake Cemetery, Lamar, MO.

WRIGHT

Jackson Atchison Wright, 85, Columbia, died Tuesday, July 8th at Boone Hospital Center.

Mr. Wright was born in Clinton County, Missouri to Frank and Mollie Atchison Wright on April 8, 1918. He graduated from Gower High School in 1935 and attended Northwest Missouri State College for two years.

He came to the University of Missouri in 1937 where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Public Administration. He attended the University of Missouri School of Law where he was initiated into the Order of the Coif. He graduated from the Law School in 1944.

He married Edith Dailey in Chillicothe, Missouri in 1945 and she survives. He is survived also by a daughter, Margaret Ann Wright and her husband, Ian McKee, of Santa Fe, New Mexico; a son-in-law, Mark Storey, of Joplin, Missouri; and grandchildren John Atchison Wright of Columbia, Missouri and Meg and David Storey of Joplin, Missouri; and by John, Sarah and Lindsay Riddick of Columbia. He was preceded in death by a son, David Atchison Wright, and a daughter, Mollie Wright Storey.

Mr. Wright practiced law in Mexico, Missouri from 1944 until 1964. He served as President of the Missouri Bar in 1961-62. In 1964 he moved to Columbia where he was General Counsel for the University of Missouri system until his retirement in 1984.

He was a member of the First Christian Church,  Jefferson Club, Rotary International (Downtown Club), Boone County Bar, and Missouri Bar and was a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. He served on the Board of Trustees of Missouri Military Academy from 1953 until 1992 and on the Boards of the 4-H Foundation and Lenoir Home.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Parker Funeral Service & Crematory in Columbia with Rev. Dr. John Yonker officiating. Family will meet with friends after the Memorial service.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Missouri Military Academy Scholarship Fund, 204 Grand Avenue, Mexico, Missouri 65265, the 4-H Foundation, care of the University of Missouri School of Agriculture, or charity of choice.

CABLE

Lester D. Cable, age 84, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2003 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.

He was born May 19, 1919 in Brazil, Indiana, but grew up in Versailles, MO. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, of the home; five children, Darwood Cable, Dianne Schmitt, Timothy Cable, Barbara Casey, and Jeremy Cable, seven grandchildren and two brothers, Clarence Cable and Blake Cable.

A private family service will be held in Versailles.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Versailles High School Athletic Fund, c/o Morgan County R-II High School, Versailles, MO 65084. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles.

STRUEMPF

C. (Jerry) Struempf, 60, of  Jefferson City, died Friday, July 11, 2003, at St. Mary's Health Center.

He was born April 11, 1943, in  Jefferson City, a son of Clemens Joseph and Mary Ann Eveler Struempf.

He attended St. Peters Elementary School and was a 1961 graduate of Helias High School. He was a salesman at American Shoe from 1961 - 1969 and was in Beauty Supply Sales in Illinois and Missouri from 1969 - 1976. He worked for A.B.B. from 1976 until his retirement. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church and AARP. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and collecting tools.

He is survived by a son: Kevin W. Struempf of  Jefferson City; three brothers: Sam Struempf and wife Marcia of  Jefferson City; Pat Struempf and wife Beth of  Jefferson City; Jim Struempf and wife Connie of Anchorage, Alaska and one sister: Mary Stokes and husband Tom of  Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by a son: Carl Andrew Struempf on March 2, 1983. Friends will be received from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors -  Jefferson City Chapel, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2003, at the St. Peters Catholic Church with Fr. James M. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Peters Catholic Church or Helias High School. Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Directors -  Jefferson City Chapel, 2613 West Main Street; 636-3838.

WILSON

John H. "Jack" Wilson, 60, of Linn Creek, died Monday, July 7, 2003 at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, MO.

He was employed as the Department head of Electronics at Lake Regional Health System.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 11, 2003, at the Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton, MO. Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 12, 2003, at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton, MO. Burial will be at Hedges Cemetery, Camdenton, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.

SMITH

Mrs. Delsa P. Smith, age 89 years, of  Jefferson City, MO., died Thursday, July 10, 2003 at the  Jefferson City Manor Nursing Center. Mrs. Smith was born June 5, 1914, at Black, MO, the daughter of John E. and Elizabeth Sumpter Thompson, both deceased. She was married on September 25, 1930, at Union, MO, to Virgil Cheek, who preceded her in death on March 3, 1976. She was a resident of the Central Missouri area for most of her life. Mrs. Smith attended school in Humeston, Iowa. A homemaker, Mrs. Smith also owned and operated D & S Alterations in  Jefferson City for several years until her retirement in 1989. Survivors include one son: Fred Cheek and his wife Cece of Russellville, MO; one daughter: Carolyn S. Noblett and her husband Mark of  Jefferson City, MO; two sisters: Mona Phippen of Corydon, Iowa and Levon Nannemann of Sedalia, MO; one brother: Jerry Thompson of Des Moines, Iowa; five grandchildren: Joshua P. Gosney, Theresa S. Frommel, Angela B. Payne, Chrissy M. Holcolm, and Michael W. Cheek and seven great grandchildren. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at the Freeman Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2003, in the Freeman Chapel with the Rev. Ken Harland officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2003, at the Georges Creek Cemetery near Yellville, AK. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimers Disease & Related Disorders Association or the  Jefferson City Area United Way. RADEMAN

Raymond Bernard Rademan, 70, of  Jefferson City, died Thursday, July 10, 2003, at his residence.

He was born on July 8, 1933 in Wardsville, the son of John George Rademan and Hilda Gertrude Moeller Rademan. He was married on August 18, 1951 in Wardsville to Doris Jane Wilson who died on March 3, 2000.

Mr. Rademan was employed with R.E. Natsch Heating & Cooling Company from 1960 to 1975 when he founded the Rademan Heating & Air-Conditioning Company which he owned and operated until his retirement in 1995. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 2693; Knights of Columbus Helias Council No. 1054; and American Legion Post No. 5.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John and Connie Rademan,  Jefferson City; a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Joe Theiss, Auxvasse; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; six sisters, Marcella Hentges, St. Martins; Angelina Hofmann, Catherine Rademan, and Hilda Marie Rackers, all of  Jefferson City; Dorothy Schnieders, California, MO; and Helen Schnieders, Wardsville; and a sister-in-law, Loretta Rademan,  Jefferson City.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville, with the Rev. Gregory C. Meystrik officiating. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Wardsville.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, 3210 N. Ten Mile Drive,  Jefferson City, MO 65109, with a prayer service at 5 p.m. Additional visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Monday at the church.

FREEMAN

Mr. Thomas E. Freeman, 61, of  Jefferson City, MO, died Thursday, July 10, 2003 at his home. Mr. Freeman was born January 28, 1942 at  Jefferson City, MO the son of Harry and Ethel Curtman Freeman, both deceased. He was married on December 6, 1961 at Asheville, North Carolina to Julianna "Judy" Spillers who survives at the home. A lifelong resident of the  Jefferson City area, Mr. Freeman graduated from  Jefferson City High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Freeman was employed at Arris Pizza, with Boyce Auto Body, and the Ford Body Shop. Later he owned and operated Dr. Vinyl until ill health forced his retirement. Other survivors include: four sons: Dean Freeman of  Jefferson City, MO, John Christopher Freeman and his wife, Barbara of  Jefferson City, MO, Robert Freeman of  Jefferson City, MO and Michael T. Freeman of  Jefferson City, MO; one sister: Shirley Libbert of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two grandsons: Justin Freeman and Brian Freeman. Mr. Freeman donated his remains to the University of Missouri Anatomical Dept. for educational and scientific research. Friends may call at the Freeman Mortuary from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Sunday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to The American Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

CUTTING

Mr. Jack D. Cutting, 84, Camdenton, Mo., died Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at the Ozark Care Center, Osage Beach, Mo. He is survived by: three nieces, Evelyn Krogman, of Gladstone, Mo., Donna J. Cutting, of Liberty, Mo., Kathy A Petell, of Independence, Mo.; one nephew, Ron C. Cutting, of Lathrop, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Bertha Martens, of Camdenton, Mo. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday in the Allee Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton, Mo. with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday in the St. Anthony Catholic Church of Camdenton, Mo. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Mo.
