HOLDER
Kenneth M. Holder, 57, of Jefferson City, MO died Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at his home.
He was born December 6, 1945 in Madison County, AL, the son of Tom and Linda Chambless Holder who preceded him in death. His wife, Bonnie Holder survives at the home.
He was a trimmer for Cole County Upholstery. Other survivors include 2 brothers, Jack Jones of Grant, AL, and James Holder of McGirk, MO, and 3 sisters, Betty Jo Beard of Huntsville, AL, Patricia Kirkland of Hazel Green, AL, and Carol Ann Holder of Huntsville, AL. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Junior, Jimmie Wayne and Billy Holder.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 31, 2003, 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Services will be held at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, Friday, August 1, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. Burial will be in Centertown Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Charity of Donor's Choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, MO.
MOSER
Beverly Ann Moser, 49, California, MO died Monday, July 28, 2003 at her home.
She was born November 28, 1953 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Norma Garrison Wightman who survives at the home and the late Robert J. Wightman. She was a 1971 graduate of Ruskin High School in Kansas City, MO. She was married to the late Dennis A. Spencer on October 16, 1971. She later married Steven G. Moser on May 31, 1991. He survives at the home.
She was employed with the State of Missouri as a computer analyst supervisor for 28 1/2 years in Jefferson City, MO.
Other survivors include 1 daughter, Christina M. Duffie of California, MO; 1 son, Joseph R. Spencer of California, MO; 3 step sons, Justin and Kyle Moser of California, MO and Phillip Moser of the USN-Pearl Harbour, HI; 1 sister, Mary L. Daugherty with her husband, Wayne of Peculiar, MO; 4 grandchildren, Tyler, Colton, Marysa and Joey, Jr. and 1 nephew, Nicholas Daugherty of Peculiar, MO. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church, McGirk, MO.
Services will be held at Lebanon Baptist Church, Thursday, July 31, 2003 at 1:00 P. M . Officiating will be Rev. Frank Whitney. Family burial will be held at California City Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 30, 2003, 4:00-8:00 P. M. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, MO.

RAINS
DeLacy Jo Rains, 18, California, MO died Tuesday, July 29, 2003 as a result of an automobile accident.
She was born October 13, 1984 in Jefferson City, MO. She was the daughter of Ray and Joanne Simmons Rains. Her father, Ray Rains preceded her in death and her mother Joanne Pruitt with her husband, Jack Pruitt, survive in California, MO.
She was a 2003 graduate of California High School and was employed with Von Hoffman Press in Jefferson City, MO. She attended Central Baptist Church in Jefferson City, MO, and had a love for animals and was a talented artist. She also had a gift for creative writing. Survivors include: one sister, Raygan Eileen Rains of California, three step-sisters, Linda Paul of Holts Summit, Wanda Dunston of Tipton, MO and Rita Riveria of Jefferson City, MO; five step brothers, Kyle Pruitt of Jefferson City, MO, Larry and Dwight Rains of Clayton, OK, Ronnie Rains of Holts Summit, MO and Jerry Rains of Huntsville, AL; aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Rains, maternal grandparents, Joseph and Eileen Simmons and one step brother, Ray Rains, Jr.
Visitation will be Friday morning, August 1, 2003 at the Annunciation Catholic Church, 9:00-11:00 A.M. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 1, 2003 at Annunciation Catholic Church in California with Rev. Greg Higley, officiating and burial will be in Salem Baptist Cemetery, north of California. Memorials are suggested to the Jefferson City Animal Rescue, 919 E. Miller Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services.
SCHAFER
John Victor Schafer, age 71, of Williamsburg, died Monday, July, 28, 2003 at the Columbia Regional Hospital.
He was born June 16, 1932, in Crawford County, Missouri, the son of the late Victor Alexander and Ruth Augusta (Perner) Schafer. On Nov. 29, 1973, in Kansas City, MO, he married Dorothy May Woolsey. She survives of the home.
He is also survived by three sisters. He was preceded in death by one brother.
He served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as a die caster for Koolman Die Casting in Kansas City where he retired in 1991.
Private burial service will be held at the Williamsburg Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Debo Funeral Home in Fulton.
HAILS
Frank Ridgely Hails, Jr., 71, of Lebanon, MO, died Tuesday, July 29, 2003, at his home.
He is survived by two daughters: Debra Leak and husband Greg, of Jefferson City and Donna Brackett, of Conway, MO; two sons: Staff Sgt. Frank R. Hails, IL, and his wife, Leslie, Korea, and Tech. Sgt. Thomas Hails and his wife, Lori, stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers: Tom Hails of Allentown, PA, and Richard Hails of K.C., MO; and three sisters: Mary Lou James, of Lebanon, MO; Ann Maurice of Chilhowee, MO, and Jean Hails, of the state of Maryland.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2003, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon, MO, with visitation to follow. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2003 at the Strasburg Cemetery, Strasburg, MO.
KIPP
Captain Warren H. Kipp, 82, of Dallas, TX, died July 26, 2003, at his home.
Survivors include his children: Bill Kipp, Bob Kipp and Sioux (Sue) Sinnott, all of TX; sisters: Fern Nolting, Stover and Maureen Scott, Weiser, ID and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. August 1, at the Kipp Memorial Cemetery, Stover, with Military funeral honors. Arrangements are under the direction of the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover.
LITTLE
Charles R. "Charlie" Little, Jr., age 62 years, of Jefferson City, MO, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at his home.
He was born December 5, 1940 in Detroit, MI, the son of Charles R., Sr. and Isabelle Quinn Little, both deceased. He was married in 1963 in Austin, TX, to Barbara A. Douglas who preceded him in death in 1972. On September 9, 1972, in Austin, TX, he married Betty A. Mauzy who survives at the home.
He graduated from Lincoln Park High School, Lincoln Park, MI. He also attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO. He served in the United States Air Force from 1960 until 1964. He was employed by the Missouri Dept. of Corrections for twenty-one years, retiring as a captain at the Missouri State Penitentiary in May, 2000.
He was a member of the Capital City Christian Church and the J.C. Radio Controlled Club. He loved fishing as well as building and flying remote controlled planes. Other survivors include: two sons, Michael Little of Jefferson City, MO and Robert Little of Tampa, FL; two daughters, Kathy Taylor and Susan Noble, both of Holts Summit, MO; one sister, Patty Decker of Houston, TX; one brother,, Peter Little of Walnut Creek, CA; 12 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 1, 2003 at the Capital City Christian Church with the Reverend John Tarbet officiating. Graveside services and interment with military honors will be conducted at Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Capital City Christian Church or the Missouri River Hospice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
ROGERS
Benjamin "Ben" Rogers, 87, died Tuesday, July 29, 2003.
He was married Sept. of 1939, to Eileen (Chaudoin) Rogers. Survivors include two daughters: Janale & David Adkins, Russellville, MO, and Judy and Alan McNeely, Eugene, MO; 5 grandchildren: Indi Braden, Tynet Adkins, Sara McNeely, Erin McNeely & Andy McNeely; one grandson-in-law: Bill Braden; nine brothers & sisters. He was preceded in death by his wife.
Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00, Thursday, July 31, 2003, at the Phillips Funeral Home. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2003, at the Eugene Christian Church. Burial will be in Sparta Cemetery, Sparta, MO. Memorials are suggested to Show-Me Christian Youth Home.
