HANNIBAL Mildred Corinne Mosley Adair, 92, of Raytown and formerly of Hannibal, died at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, at Research Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Jeff Anderson will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Adair was born March 16, 1908, in Novinger to Harry and Sara A. Blew Mosley.
She was married to Wilbur Wallace (Red) Adair on Aug. 16, 1928, in Hannibal. He preceded her in death Sept. 19, 1978.
Survivors include one son, Howard Eugene Adair of Independence; one sister, Clarabelle Walters of Kirksville; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to include as survivors: one daughter-in-law, Josephine (Jo) Adair; and two sisters-in-law, Elsie Usherwood of Hannibal and Ellen Morton of Tempe, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by one son, Harry Curtis (Dinger) Adair; two brothers; and one sister.
Mrs. Adair was retired from International Shoe Co., as a fancy stitcher. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hannibal.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Wisdom, Wayne Wisdom, Daren Adair, Tom Luebrecht, Skip Adair and Gary Adair.

HANNIBAL Genevieve G. Neff, 80, of Hannibal, died at 3:28 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at Southside Baptist Church in Hannibal. Pastor Alvin Young will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal and from 9:30 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Neff was born Aug. 6, 1920, in Novelty to James H. and Myrtle Mann Garnett.
She was married to Wayne E. Hubble on Aug. 5, 1937. He preceded her in death July 24, 1974. She was married to Dr. Dale H. Neff on Feb. 14, 1975. He survives.
Other survivors include one son, Ronald E. Hubble of Quincy, Ill.; one daughter, Geniece Beswick of Hannibal; and one stepson, Bill Neff of Hannibal.
The family wishes to include as survivors: two daughters-in-law, Eleanor Hubble of Quincy and Pandy Neff of Hannibal; one son-in-law, Bill Beswick of Hannibal; six grandchildren, Kevin Hubble and wife, Brenda, of St. Peters, R. Craig Beswick and wife, Lori, of Philadelphia, Melissa Reardon of Hannibal; and Mark Hubble and wife, Laurie, Kim Gibson and husband, John, and Bradley Beswick and wife, Cindy, all of Quincy; 15 great-grandchildren, Heather, Brittany and Jill Hubble, Ryan and Abagail Hubble, Dillon, Aaron and Reilly Gibson, and Alexis and Amanda Beswick, all of Quincy; Joshua Reardon of Hannibal, and Amanda, Alexandra, Adam and Abagail Morrell, all of Philadelphia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Opal Dodd; and four brothers, Orville Garnett, William Garnett, Everett Garnett and Earl McCannon.
Mrs. Neff was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Hubble, Mark Hubble, Bradley Beswick, R. Craig Beswick, John Gibson, Joshua Reardon and Bill Beswick.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Neff's great-grandchildren.

PARIS Evelyn L. Turnbough, 72, of Kansas City, Mo., and formerly of Paris, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, at Truman Hospital in Kansas City.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Paris. The Rev. Wesley Hammond will officiate.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the Agnew Funeral Home in Paris.
Mrs. Turnbough was born Feb. 12, 1928, in Quincy, Ill., to Harry and Ruby Miller Turnbough.
Survivors include one son, David G. Turnbough of Kansas City; and a longtime friend, Wayne Green of Kansas City.
She was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Turnbough was a homemaker and had lived in the Kansas City area for more than 25 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paris.

FRANKFORD Samuel Lee Houchins, 41, of Frankford, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Frankford. The Rev. Delmar Blase will officiate. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Frankford.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Houchins was born June 9, 1959, in Hannibal to Floyd Nichols and Catherine Ann Brown Houchins.
He was married to Nickie Sgrignoli on June 11, 1988, in Frankford. She survives.
Other survivors include his parents of Frankford; one son, Scott Hipes of Bowling Green; two daughters, Jolynn Houchins of Curryville and Rhonda Givens of Lamar; three grandchildren, Dakota Hipes and Courtney and Dominick Givens; one brother, Steve Houchins of Frankford; and one sister, Suszanne Hollinrake of Albia, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Mr. Houchins was a lifelong resident of Frankford and was a 1977 graduate of Bowling Green R-I School. He received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Quincy University in Quincy, Ill., and a master's degree in business administration from Webster University in Webster Groves. He had been employed by Daffron and Associates in Bowling Green for a number of years. He and his wife owned and operated Ascend LLC in Frankford where he worked as an independent computer programmer. He enjoyed photography, backpacking and traveling. He was a member of Tabernacle of Praise in Hannibal.
Memorials may be made to the National Brain Tumor Foundation.

Vernon Wilson Davis

ELSBERRY - Vernon Wilson Davis, 81, of Eolia, died Friday, June 15, 2001, at Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. The Rev. Sue Jackson officiated. Burial was at Elsberry City Cemetery.
Mr. Davis was born Oct. 15, 1919, on the family farm in Lincoln County to Alton P. and Gertie Parks Davis.
He was married to Anna Belle Jamison on Oct. 6, 1940, in Elsberry. She survives.
Also surviving one son, Robert (Bob) Davis of Eolia; one daughter, Betty Cohoon of Elsberry; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Alene Waddell and Velma Sanders, both of Elsberry.
The family wishes to include as survivors his daughter-in-law, Donna Davis; his son-in-law, Charles Cohoon; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Mr. Davis farmed in northern Lincoln County all his adult life. He was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church near Elsberry. He was a 1937 graduate of Elsberry High School.
Memorials may be made to Smith Chapel United Methodist Church, in care of the funeral home.
