Edwin S. Wilson

HANNIBAL - Edwin Sears Wilson, 90, of Hannibal, died at 3:53 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, at Holy Family Church. Father Mike Quinn will officiate. Burial, with full military rites by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post No. 55, will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.
Mr. Wilson was born Aug. 5, 1911, in Spokane, Wash., to Edwin H. and Lucille Brown Wilson.
He was married to Victoria L. Mirande on Oct. 18, 1943, in Camp Brig, Va. She preceded him in death June 29, 1978. He later married Dorothy Lower Betts on May 4, 1984. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Edwin J. Wilson of Milwaukee, Wis., Michael Wilson of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and David Wilson of Anchorage, Alaska; one sister, Elizabeth Wilson of Hannibal; and seven grandchildren, Alex, Julia, Catherine, Emily, Michela, Shura and Aleksei.
Mr. Wilson moved to Hannibal with his family in 1915 where the Wilson family previously resided. His predecessors lived near Spalding. He was a graduate of Hannibal High School, Hannibal-LaGrange College and the University of Missouri with a degree in business administration. While in college, Mr. Wilson worked at the Mark Twain Hotel, Daniel Boone Hotel and the Fair Grounds Hotel in St. Louis.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps from 1942 to 1946, with 33 months in the Pacific Theater. Other service rendered: agent for State Farm Insurance for 40 years, Boy Scout Troop leader, a member of Holy Family Church, board member for American Red Cross, Hannibal Lions Club, Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post No. 55 and was past president of the Braxton Pollard Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR). He was the first State Farm agent in Hannibal.
Memorials may be made to Northeast Missouri Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
Pallbearers will be Jack Immegart, Bud Hudson, Mike Mayer, Tuley Elliot, Bill Cunningham and Neil Immegart.
Theodore A. Lehenbauer
Hannibal
Jan. 13, 1922 - Nov. 3, 2001
HANNIBAL - Theodore A. (Ted) Lehenbauer, 79, of Hannibal, died at 6:20 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at St. John Lutheran Church in Hannibal. Pastor Richard Ingmire will officiate. Burial, with full military rites by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post No. 55, will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal. The James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of services Friday at the church.
Mr. Lehenbauer was born Jan. 13, 1922, in Hannibal to Ludwig Ferdinand and Freida Christine Bareis Lehenbauer.
He was married to Jeanette F. Sughru on April 3, 1943. She preceded him in death Nov. 23, 2000.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Fibelkorn of Clairmont, Calif.; one brother, Al Lehenbauer of Hannibal; five grandchildren, Phillip Fibelkorn, Stephen Fibelkorn, Paul Fibelkorn, Jennifer McEwen and Christine Tucker; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to include as a survivor, one son-in-law, the Rev. John Fibelkorn of Clairmont, Calif.
Mr. Lehenbauer was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served during World War II. He retired as an optician with Hannibal Optical Co. In 1968, he studied for the Lutheran Lay Ministry and served the congregations of Des Peres, Dighton, Kan., and Hugoton, Kan. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Sunday School.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Fibelkorn, Stephen Fibelkorn, Paul Fibelkorn, Darren Tucker, Dana Ruhl and Todd Bridgeman.
Ella Sally O'Keefe
HANNIBAL Ella Sally Winn O'Keefe, 89, of Louisiana and formerly of Center, died at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, at the Pike County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services are pending at the Grand View Funeral Home.

Ralph E. Painter
Warren
July 6, 1942 - Nov. 4, 2001
MONROE CITY - Ralph Eugene Painter, 59, of the Warren Community north of Monroe City, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at the Garner Funeral Chapel in Monroe City. Pastor Shelby Job will officiate. Burial will be at the Andrew Chapel Cemetery in Marion County.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Painter was born July 6, 1942, in Clarence to Harold and Anna Mary Davis Painter.
He was married to Penny Lynn Branham on May 3, 1974, in Philadelphia. She survives.
Other survivors include his mother of Monroe City; two daughters, Karren Maggine of Columbia and Cynthia Painter of Monroe City; one brother, Dennis Painter of Shelbina; five sisters, Dorothy Wisdom of Hunnewell, Joyce Vaia of Bloomington, Ill., Betty DeVitt of Fenton, Nancy Ryan of Monroe City and Janet Turnbull of Columbia; and two grandchildren, Jordon Weathers and Alyssa Maggine.
The family wishes to include as survivors, one son-in-law, Daryl Maggine; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; and four children, Justin, Albert, Holly and Polly Painter.
Mr. Painter attended Pee Dee School, Philadelphia School and the Monroe City schools. He was a member of the Prairie View Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963 during the Cuban Crisis. He was a mechanic for HCS Transportation of Shelbyville.
Pallbearers will be Pat Smith, Ronald Voepel, Gary White , Donald White , David Powell and Charlie Davis.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Morris, Warren Beaver, Larry Smashey and Roy Smith.
Seth L. Lockard
TROY - Seth L. Lockard, infant son of Christopher and Diane Beasley Lockard of Eolia, was stillborn Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at Barnes/Jewish Hospital in St. Peters.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Fairview Cemetery in Louisiana. The Rev. Tom Wilkes will officiate.
Survivors include his parents; grandparents, Ira Beasley of Potosi, Janet Beasley of St. Louis and Chester and Betty Lockard of Eolia; great-grandparents, Albert and Glenda Moorman of St. Louis; two brothers, Cole and Samuel Lockard, both of Eolia; and two sisters, Taylor and Charis Lockard, both of Eolia.
The family wishes to include as survivors, aunts; uncles; and other relatives.

Ella L. Vaughn
Canton

LA GRANGE - Ella Lucille Vaughn, 87, of Canton and formerly of La Grange, died at 9:35 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Davis Funeral Home in La Grange.
Burial will be at Durham Cemetery in Durham.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the family there after 6 p.m.
Mrs. Vaughn was born March 9, 1914, in Britt, Iowa, to William and Etta Anderson Taylor.
She was married to Othal Rae Vaughn on Dec. 24, 1938, in La Grange. He preceded her in death Feb. 25, 1988.
Survivors include one sister, Myrtle Vaughn of Canton.
The family wishes to include as survivors three nephews, Alvin Vaughn of Maywood, Perry Vaughn of La Grange and Junior Tadlock of Burlington, Iowa; and five nieces, Evelyn Evans of La Grange, Alice Davidson of Paloma, Ill., Doris Day of Quincy, Ill., and Lucinda Prevost and Kay Clarke, both of the state of Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Taylor and Ray Taylor; and three sisters, Hazel Deeds, Carrie Tadlock and Nellie Taylor.
Mrs. Vaughn was a member of Dover Baptist Church near La Grange.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
