SHELBINA - Ed Sorrell, 62, of Falcon, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Mo.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Chapel in Shelbina. The Rev. Tom Plumb will officiate. Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Hunnewell.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Sorrell was born Sept. 24, 1940, in Shelbina to Melvin and Daisy Stevenson Sorrell.
Survivors include four daughters, Melissa McWilliams of Leonard, Shelly Driskill of Parker City, Ind., Pam Cochrane of Peoria, Ill., and Debra Sorrell of Columbia; six grandchildren; his mother, Daisy Sorrell of Hunnewell; two brothers, James Sorrell of Shelbyville and Raymond Sorrell of Moline, Ill.; and two sisters, Ruth Whitten of Falcon and Ruby Sorrell of Hunnewell.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Mr. Sorrell was a member of Granville Christian Church and was a Mason.
Mary Louise Gartner
Ballwin

HANNIBAL - Mary Louise Gartner, 87, of Ballwin and formerly of Hannibal, died at 7:25 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, at West County Care Center in Ballwin.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Smith Funeral Chapel in Hannibal. The Rev. Howard Goodrich will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gartner was born Oct. 19, 1914, in Old Monroe to Benjamin and Minne Turnbull Miller.
She was married to Earl Benjamin Gartner on June 11, 1937, in Hannibal. He preceded her in death May 22, 1990.
Survivors include one son, Donald Gartner and wife, Jeanette, of Manchester; one granddaughter, Rachel Dunn and husband, Joe, of Denton, Texas ; one grandson, David Gartner and wife, Tracy, of Manchester, Conn.; three sisters, Doris Schnetzer of Hannibal, Dorothy Roberts and husband, Ray, of Davenport, Iowa and Thelma Devine of Bettendorf, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Miller of Hannibal; and one sister, Helen Wehde of Old Monroe.
Mrs. Gartner was a member of First Christian Church where she was a member of the Queen Austin Class, Rachel Group of C.W.F. She served in many capacities, including deaconess, class president and group leader. She was best known for more than 40 years of service in the kitchen, cooking for various church functions.
Memorials may be made to First Christian Church.
Wayne Dry
MONROE CITY - Wayne Dry, 66, of rural Hunnewell, died at 4:03 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at Garner Funeral Home in Monroe City. Burial will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Monroe City.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at the funeral home.
Dean Treaster
Hannibal

HANNIBAL - Dean Treaster, 68, of Hannibal died at 7:20 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Apostolic Holiness Church in Hannibal. Pastors Roger Grohman and Ken James will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.
Mr. Treaster was born Nov. 24, 1933, in Shelbina to Phillip E. and Geraldine Conley Treaster.
He was married to Geraldine Gauch on Dec. 24, 1954, in Hannibal. She survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Michael Treaster and wife, Tracey, and Steven Treaster and wife, April, all of Monroe City, and Donald Treaster and wife, Lisa, and Chris Treaster, all of Hannibal; two daughters, Brenda Smith and husband, Donnie, of Hannibal and Charlene Treaster of the home; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles Treaster; and one sister, Phyllis Newbrough.
Mr. Treaster retired from working in telephone construction with Ballinger and Sons Inc. He was a member of the Apostolic Holiness Church.
Pallbearers will be Oron Cook, Cecil Sanders, George Ballinger, Carl James, Ken James, Mark Drazba Sr. and Scott Love.
Elnora Tillitt
Scottsdale, Ariz.

SHELBINA - Elnora Tillitt, 90, of Scottsdale, Ariz., died at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Chapel in Shelbina. Jim Bilbro will officiate. Burial will be at Shelbina Cemetery-West Lawn Addition.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Tillitt was born May 27, 1912, in Novelty to Dr. Samuel L. and Mary Olive Parsons Simpson.
She was married to Russell C. Tillitt Sr. in August 1930, in Quincy, Ill. He preceded her in death Aug. 5, 1991.
Survivors include two children, Dinah Benson of Oakland, Calif., and Daniel Tillitt of Scottsdale; two grandchildren, Capt. William Fischback III and Russell Sanford Tillitt and his wife, Candice; one great-granddaughter, Annabel Nora Tillitt; one sister, Betty Oswald of Chesterfield; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Dr. Russell C. Tillitt Jr.; two brothers; and three sisters.
Wilma Delene Crook

PARIS - Wilma Delene Crook, 65, of Paris, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, at Boone County Hospital in Columbia.
A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church. Father John Henderson will officiate. Burial will be at Holy Catholic Cemetery in Monroe City.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a wake service at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, at Agnew Funeral Home in Paris.
Mrs. Crook was born July 17, 1937, in Saverton to George and Ethel Burge Dunn.
She was married to Charles Marion Cook on Nov. 26, 1955, in Monroe City. He survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Crook Karr of Monroe City; two sons, Jeffery Cook of Paris and Jared Cook of Stoutsville; six grandchildren; and one stepbrother, Carl Conley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one stepsister.
Mrs. Crook was county coordinator for NECAC for 27 years. She was a member of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church.
