Ellis, Lynia M.
Lynia M. Ellis, 92, of Sardis, died Wednesday, November 27, 2002, at Beverly Healthcare of heart failure.
Services were held Saturday, December 7, 2002, at M.B. Church. Interment was at Concord cemetery. Rev. Buchanan of Memphis officiated services. Henderson Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Ellis, daughter of the late John S. Ellis and the late Lillie Ellis James, was born
May 4, 1910, in Mississippi. She attended school in Panola County. She was a domestic worker and a member of Roen Hill M.B. Church.
Survivors include one sister, Euretta Partee of Sardis and several nieces and nephews.
Ellis, Ray "Victor"
Ray "Victor" Ellis, 72, of Batesville, died Sunday, November 3, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi of heart failure.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 9, at 2 p.m. at New Hope M.B. Church. Rev. Jacob Hentz will officiate the services. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Cooley's Mortuary, Inc., has charge of arrangements.
Ellis, son of the late Howard and Lillian Ellis, was born
September 15, 1932, in Batesville. He was a retired dozer driver and a member of New Hope M.B. Church.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Ellis of Batesville; one son, Eddie G. Hamilton of Rock Island, Ill.; one sister, Ruby Lester of Batesville; and six brothers, Jimmy D. Ellis, Sidney Ellis, G. B. Ellis, and Uylc Ellis all of Batesville, Howard Ellis Jr. and Larry Ellis both of Milwaukee, Wis., and five grandchildren.
Eubanks, James Wallace
James Wallace Eubanks, 85, of Batesville, died Tuesday, April 30, 2002, at his home of heart failure.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 3, at First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Jon Burnham will officiate the service. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park. Wells Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Eubanks, son of the late James William and Pearl Berry Eubanks, was born
October 18, 1916, in Yalobusha County. He was a retired salesman and retired owner of Forrest Memorial Park cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mary A. Eubanks of Batesville; two sons, James Wallace Eubanks, Jr. of Tunica and William Lynn Eubanks of New Albany; two sisters, Kathryn Eubanks Onkst of Batesville and Janie Waves Eubanks Vick of Conway, Arkansas; and a brother, Ray Eubanks of Water Valley.
Everett, Willie Neel
Willie Neel "Pop" Everett, 80, of Batesville, died Wednesday, August 28, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital - North Mississippi in Oxford of heart failure.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 30, at 2 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Burial was in Magnolia cemetery. Wells Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Everett was a retired trucker and a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Stroupe Everett of Batesville; a daughter, Bonnie Everett Goodnight Kairit of Batesville; a sister, Christine Everett Hudson of Marks; two grandchildren, Bridget Goodnight of Starkville and Bill Goodnight of Cordova, Tennessee; and a great-grandson, Cody Goodnight of Cordova.
Fancher, Raiford Lindsey "Tate"
Raiford Lindsey Fancher, 91, of Marion (formerly of Senatobia), died Thursday, November 7, 2002, at Benchmark Healthcare of heart failure.
Graveside services were held Sunday, November 10, at 2:30 p.m. at Batesville-Magnolia cemetery. Rev. Dr. Jon Burnam officiated the services. Dickins Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Fancher, son of the late Marion Herbert and Rosa Vernon Haynes Fancher, was born
November 28, 1910, in Panola County. He was a cattleman and a member of the Senatobia First United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Inez Carter Fancher.
Survivors include his two daughters, Nancy Yates, of Philadelphia, and Dot Smith, of Batesville; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Faulkner, Willie James
Willie James Faulkner, 40, of Lambert, died Saturday, April 20, 2002, at his home of heart failure.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 26, at 1 p.m. at Sykes Chapel M.B. Church. Rev. L. Johnson will officiate the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Delta Burial Corporation is in charge of arrangements.
Faulkner was born
August 29, 1961, in Lambert. He graduated from Quitman County High School and from Northwest Mississippi Community College. He was previously employed by ACI in Batesville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Faulkner of Lambert; two daughters, Latosha Faulkner and Chandrea Jackson, both of Lambert; a son, Antianio Faulkner of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; seven brothers, Ervin Faulkner, Rickey Faulkner, William Faulkner, Jeffrey Faulkner, Nathaniel Faulkner, Micheal Faulkner, all of Batesville, and Daniel Faulkner, of Sumner; and two sisters, Leshia Faulkner and Belinda Faulkner, both of Batesville.
Faust, Floy Inez Williams
Floy Inez Williams Faust, 96, of Marks, died Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at Quitman County Nursing Home in Marks of heart failure.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 26, at First Baptist Church in Marks. Rev. Don O'Quin and Rev. Laurie Jones officiated the service. Burial was in Lambert cemetery. Kimbro Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Faust, daughter of the later Peter Turl and Pearl Willis Williams, was born
February 5, 1906. She was a graduate of Tutwiler High School, retired owner of a clothes cleaner and a member of First Baptist Church in Marks.
Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Barnes of Marks; two sons, Gene Faust of Lambert and Billy Faust of Marks; one sister, Anna Williams Harvey of Columbus; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Few, Robert Earl
Robert Few, 36, of Grenada, died Tuesday, October 29, 2002, at University Medical Center of heart failure.
Graveside services were held Friday, November 1, at 11 a.m. at Bethel cemetery in Calhoun County. Rev. S.D. Johnson officiated the services. Garner-Harper Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Few, son of Mary Sutton of Batesville and the late Walter Robert Few, was born
July 25, 1966. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lola Allday Few and his uncle, William Few.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include two sons, Jeffery Taylor Few and Derrick Few, both of Grenada; one sister, Samantha Lynn Few of Vicksburg; one half-sister, Melisa Purdy of Batesville; two aunts, Bertha McNatt of Grenada, and Ruby Lee Kennedy of Metairie, LA.

Mary Fields, 72, of Batesville, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at her home of heart failure.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 10, at 11 a.m. at New Enon M.B. Church. Rev. Zannie Leland, Jr. officiated the service. Burial was in the church cemetery. Cooley's Mortuary, Inc. had charge of arrangements.
Fields, daughter of the late David and Lynna Fox Wiley, was born
October 29, 1929, in Batesville. She was a retired custodian and a member of New Enon M.B. Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Iris Pauline Fields and Marilyn Fields, both of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two sons, James Kell Fields, Jr. of Milwaukee and David Stanley Fields of Los Angeles, California; a brother, David Wiley, Jr. of Memphis, Tennessee; two sisters, Pauline LaGrone and Bernice Stinson, both of Batesville; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Waldrip, Fannie Mae
Fannie Mae Waldrip, 80, of Como, died Thursday, July 31, 2003, at her residence in Como.
Services were Sunday at First Baptist M.B. Church in Como. Burial was at Mt. Level Church. Felix Cauthen Funeral Home had charge.
Waldrip was an usher, on the mother board and was a choir member at First Baptist M.B. Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Hurbert Waldrip.
Survivors include two sisters, Gracie Partee and Willie Mae Renix, both of Como and one brother James Armstrong for Sardis.
Ward, James Elmer
James Elmer Ward, 81, of Batesville, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003 at his residence.
Services are today at 2 p.m. at Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks. Rev. Richard Mills will officiate. Burial is at Lambert cemetery. Kimbro Funeral Home of Marks is in charge.
Ward was born
Aug. 17, 1922 to the late Elmer Ward and late Everlina Parker Ward. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Disabled Veterans of America. He received the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart and a Good Conduct Medal. He was also a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary C. Ward of Batesville; one daughter Mary Annette Ward Pauley of Batesville; two brothers, Wade Ward of Memphis and Paul Ward of Little Rock, Ark.; three sisters, Lula Stone of Greenville, Evelyn Jones of Terry, and Mabel Austin of Columbus; and five grandchildren.
Ware, Rev. Dewitt
Rev. Dewitt Ware, 86, of Batesville, died Thursday, May 15, 2003, at Beverly Health Care in Batesville.
Services were Monday at Pope Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. Burial was at Pope Chapel cemetery. Rev. William Bailey officiated. Cooley's Mortuary had charge.

Nov. 10, 1916, to the late Tom Ware and the late Eva Burns, was a retired minister, a farmer, and a member of Pope Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Christine Blackburn of Pope, Farrie Parker of Batesville and Stella L. Wright of Memphis, Tenn.; two sons, Lewis W. Ware and Freddie Earl Ware, both of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister Farrie Mae Hoskins of Chicago, Ill.; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
