CARROLLTON -- Graveside services for James "Jim" Allison Mayfield Jr., 82, of Carrollton, a retired construction worker, will be at 1 p.m. today in Masonic Cemetery, Amory. He died of respiratory failure Dec. 2, 2002, at his daughter's home in Grenada. Burial will be under the direction of E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory.
Myles
HOLLANDALE -- Funeral services for Adlean Myles, 88, of Hollandale will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Daniel Chapel AME Church, Glen Allan. She died Dec. 1, 2002, at The King's Daughters Hospital, Greenville. Burial will be in Sanders Memorial Gardens, Hollandale, under the direction of Dillon Funeral Home, Leland.
Survivors include two daughters, Rosemary Scott and Barbara Nelson, both of Hollandale; two sons, Willie Scott of Hollandale and Eddie (Ella) Scott of Chicago, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one niece, Dorothy Young of St. Paul, Minn.; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. She also leaves a special friend of the family, Martha Odd of Hollandale; and two goddaughters, Debra Monsoon of Jackson and Carolyn Lewis of Greenville.
Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Dillon Funeral Home chapel. The family hour will be from 6 to 7 p.m.
The Rev. Credell Raggs will officiate.
Ward
LINN -- Funeral services for Jack Kay Ward, 72, of Linn will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ray Funeral Home, Cleveland. He died Dec. 3, 2002, at his home. Burial will be in New Cleveland Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

MOORHEAD -- Funeral services for Linda Wright, 50, of Moorhead will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Higher Height MB Church, Moorhead. She died Nov. 28, 2002, at her home. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Moorhead, under the direction of Dillon Funeral Home, Indianola.
Survivors include one son, Tarrance Wright of Moorhead; one daughter, LeTishia Wright of Moorhead; four brothers, Henry Wright, John Wright and J.B. Wright, all of Florida City, Fla., and Willie Wright of Moorhead; five sisters, Mary Lee Wright, Alice Wright and Ora Lee Coleman, all of Moorhead, and Willie Trussell and Fannie Turner, both of Fairview Park, Ill.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Dillon Funeral Home chapel, Indianola.

Finklea
LELAND — Funeral services for Ella Williams Davidson Finklea, 84, of Leland, a retired secretary, will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Boone Funeral Home, Leland. She died of heart failure Feb. 3, 2003, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery, Stoneville.
She was born in Cave City, Ark., and moved to Leland, Miss., at an early age with her parents. She graduated from Leland High School and attended Mississippi Delta Community College. She married Jimmie C. Finklea in 1939 and was employed with Finklea Brothers as an agricultural aviation secretary for many years. She later was employed with a local hotel as a secretarial clerk until her retirement in 1992. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church in Leland. She was well loved by many friends and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1960, two sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include one daughter, Mona Lisa Weeks (Sammy) of Leland; two sons, James D. Finklea (Kathryn) of Beaumont, Texas, and William Irby Finklea (Laura Jean) of Dallas; one sister, Annie Hill Finklea of Harrison, Ark.; a former sister-in-law, Bonita Finklea of Leland; one granddaughter, Nona Lea Finklea (Michael) of Dallas; four grandsons, William Curtis Finklea (Lynn) of Greenville, James David Finklea of Galveston, Texas, and Samuel "Duke" Weeks and Alvin Carleton Weeks (Tiffany), both of Leland; three great-grandsons, David "Bubbie" Finklea, Curtis Michael Finklea and Shelby Lynn Finklea, all of Greenville.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
Morris
SUNFLOWER PLANTATION— Funeral services for Estelle Morris, 85, of Sunflower Plantation will be today at 10:30 a.m. at Williams & Lord Funeral Home, Ruleville. She died Feb. 2, 2003, at Hospice Ministries, Ridgeland. Burial will be in Drew Cemetery, Drew.
Mrs. Morris was retired from Baxter Lab of Cleveland, with 25 years of perfect attendance. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and was a resident of Sunflower Plantation since 1941.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rayford H. Morris, and one son, J.C. Morris.
Survivors include four sons, Pat Morris of Fort Worth, Texas, Bobby Morris of Cleveland, Ralph Morris of Rough and Ready, Calif., and Phillip Morris of Greenville; two daughters, Mrs. Donnis Ingram of Jackson and Mrs. Laverne Miller of Clinton; one brother, Milton S. Cullum of Greenville; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Mark Hinson and the Rev. Thomas Bruce will officiate.

GRENADA — Funeral services for Janie Elizabeth Huddleston Perry, 65, of Grenada were Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Garner-Harper Funeral Home chapel, Grenada. She died of heart failure Feb. 2, 2003, at Grenada Living Center, Grenada. Burial will be in Drew Cemetery, Drew.
Survivors include two sons, Calvin Mullins of Water Valley and Richard Criddle of Grenada; six grandchildren; and two brothers, George Huddleston Jr. of Lake Village, Ark., and James Huddleston of Grenada.

GREENVILLE -- Funeral arrangements for Marie Loggins, 51, of Greenville are pending at Byas Funeral Home, Greenville. She died June 8, 2003, at The King's Daughters Hospital, Greenville.
Simpson
WAYSIDE -- Funeral services for Jimmy L. Simpson Sr., 63, of Wayside will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mortimer Funeral Home, Greenville. He died June 6, 2003.
Mr. Simpson had a long (30+ years) and successful career as a conservation agent in Washington County with the Mississippi Game and Fish Commission, now called the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks. He was selected the Outstanding Officer in 1982 by the Southeastern Game and Fish commissioners. Mr. Simpson was also a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard, 2nd Battalion, 198th Armor. He was called for active duty during Operation Desert Storm. He obtained the rank of sergeant first class before retiring in 2000.
Mr. Simpson was born on Jan. 24, 1940, in Sunflower County. He graduated from Riverside High School in 1952. After high school, he joined the United States Army and was stationed in Alaska. He later married Betty Jo "BJ" Ramsey on Dec. 16, 1966, and resided in Wayside. Mr. Simpson became a member of the Local 626 Union of Operating Engineers out of Jackson, and worked on pipelines throughout the South.
Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy "Sunshine" Simpson Jr. He was also preceded in death by his father, James Simpson; his mother, Willie Mae (McAlpine) Simpson; and his brothers, James Richard Simpson and Mack Simpson.
Mr. Simpson is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Simpson of Wayside. Other survivors include three brothers, Bilbo Simpson, Frank Simpson and Jack Simpson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Arthur Scott.
Pallbearers will be fellow conservation officers Mr. Jack Smith, Mr. Bill Brace, Mr' Robert Neely, Mr. Sammy Fisher, Mr. Billy Lloyd and Mr. Robert Taylor.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mortimer Funeral Home.
Simzak
GREENVILLE -- Funeral arrangements for Richard Simzak, 35, of Greenville are pending at Smith Funeral Home, Greenville. He died June 7, 2003, of injuries sustained in an automobile crash in Chicot County, Ark.
Tharp
GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Wayne Tharp, 53, a plumber and riverboat worker of Greenville will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Funeral Home, Greenville. He died June 7, 2003, of heart failure at his home. Burial will be at Roundaway Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Tharp was born Aug. 15, 1949, at Indianola, Miss., to Jack and Mable Tharp. He moved to Greenville at an early age with his family, where he has been a life-long resident. He attended Greenville public schools. He was employed for 20 years on riverboats and also worked as a plumber. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Tharp and Mable Griffin Tharp; and two brothers, Richard Tharp and Charles Tharp.
Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Hazel Tharp of Greenville, Miss.; four sisters, Mary Cleo Fults of Conroe, Texas, Henrietta (Clayton) Lang of Dekalb, Miss., Grace Ann (David) Kleespie of Greenville, Miss., and Sharon Joyce (Ricky) Shirey of Batesville, Miss.; and six brothers, Jimmy (Cherrie) Tharp of McAllen, Texas, Billie Joe (Shirley) Tharp of Greenwood, Miss., Bobby Gene (Peggy) Tharp and Ronnie (Mary Helen) Tharp, both of Greenville, Miss., Cecil (Barbara) Tharp of James Crossing, Miss., and Gary Allen (Crystal) Tharp of Okolona, Miss.
The Rev. Arthur Scott will officiate.
Thomas Ferguson, Johnny Ferguson, Bobby Tharp, David Tharp, Stan Tharp and Kevin Tharp will serve as pallbearers.
