Mrs. Leema Beatrice Schoolar Holloway

April 7, 1919 - July 29, 2010

Mrs. Leema S. Holloway, 91, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Hospice Ministries, Ridgeland, MS.

Visitation was held Friday, July 30, 2010 at 5 p.m.to 8 p.m.at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home, Louisville, MS.

Funeral service was Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel, Louisville, MS.

Rev. Billie Bowie and Rev. David Keen officiated.

Interment was in the Murphy Creek Baptist Church cemetery.

She was a native of Winston County, and a 1935 graduate of Ellison Ridge High School and of Hillman College in Clinton, MS.

She was a devoted pastor's wife for over sixty years, she served as a school teacher and factory worker in her early married icon years.

Later she was a substitute teacher and part-time Baptist Bookstore worker.

She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church, Louisville, MS and was an active member in her Sunday School Class, and the Women's Missionary Union Joy Club.

She enjoyed reading, visiting with friends, and watching NBA basketball games, where she identified more with the coaches than players.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Trinity Mission Health and Rehabilitation of Clinton, MS, The Baptist Medical Center Oncology Floor of Jackson MS and Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland, MS for their kind and compassionate care.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over sixty years, Rev. James N. Holloway; sister, Wilma Thompson; brother, J.L. Schoolar; parents, Milton Landrum Schoolar and Rebecca Elizabeth Haggard.

She is survived by 1 son, David (Brenda) Holloway, Clinton, MS; 2 grandsons, Lan (Jennifer) Holloway, Houston, TX, Brandon Holloway, Clinton, MS; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers were Lan Holloway, Brandon Holloway, Ken Schoolar, Richie Schoolar, Frank Cockrell and Dwight Davidson.

Memorials made be made to Mississippi College, P.O.Box 4062, Clinton, MS 39058; Senior Adult Ministry, First Baptist Church, Louisville, MS; or The Baptist Children's Village, P.O. Box 2, Clinton, MS 39060-0020.

Mr. Hubert Morgan

September 22, 1934 - August 1, 2010

Mr. Hubert Morgan, 75, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010 at MS Baptist Medical Center, Jackson, MS.

Visitation was held Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home, Louisville, MS.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel, Louisville, MS.

Rev Trent Jaudon and Rev. Rob Faulk will officiate.

Interment in the Fellowship Baptist Church cemetery in Choctaw County.

Mr.Morgan was a retired Sales Representative for Bryan Foods and a member of South Louisville Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by parents, Madie and Clyde Morgan, and brothers, David, Ricky and Fred Morgan.

Survivors include his wife, Jimmie McClain Morgan, Louisville, MS; 1 son, David (Tammy) Morgan, Morgan, Louisville, MS; 1 daughter, Becky (Nicky) Brantley, Carthage, MS; 2 sisters, Beth Boggan, Ackerman, MS and Martha (Dulphy) Wilson, Ackerman MS; 1 brother, Dan Morgan, Richland, MS; grandchildren: Anna Claire Morgan, Phillip Watson, Laura Watson Matt McGowin, Mallory Parker, Nicole Brantley, Madie Brantley, Montana Brandley; 1 great-grandchild, Chase Parker.

Memorials can be made to South Louisville Baptist Church or Gideon's.

Mr. Hugh Fancher "Shawby" Shaw

July 31, 2010

Funeral services for Mr. Mr. Hugh Fancher "Shawby" Shaw, 85, were held at 10:00 a.m. at Sturgis Baptist Church in Sturgis. Rev. Steve Lammons, Rev. Halton Davis, and Rev. Russel Mord officiated. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill cemetery in Sturgis, MS.

A native of Sturgis, Mr. Shaw was retired from the Agronomy Department at Mississippi State University. Mr. Shaw served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Custard. He also served two terms as a supervisor on the Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors. Mr. Shaw died Saturday July 31, 2010 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.

He is survived by a son, "Timmy" Shaw of Sturgis; his daughters, Kay Shaw McPherson of Brandon, MS, and Nancy Shaw Gregory of Sturgis, MS. "Shawby" also leaves four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Mary Lou Shaw Kimmel of Tupelo, MS, and a brother, Sidney Shaw of Sturgis, MS.

Pallbearers for the service included: Bernie White, Jerry Ferguson, Jerry Ray, Buddy Miller, Eddie McGinnis, Greg Wall, Ernest Oswalt, and Carl Livingston. Honorary pallbearers are Vance Watson, and Jim Ray. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Pleasant Hill cemetery Fund, Baptist Children's Village and/or French Camp Academy. Coleman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Glazier T. Boyd

July 22, 2010

Funeral services for Mr. Glazier T. Boyd, 95, were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 29 at Rockport U.M. Church. Rev. James Boyd officiated. Burial followed at the church cemetery.

A native of Noxubee County, Mr. Boyd was a retired janitor. He was also a member of Rockport U.M. Church.

Mr. Boyd died Thursday July 22, 2010 at Choctaw County Nursing Home.

Survivors include daughters Tommie James and Reather Boyd, both of Starkville, MS, sons Clyd Boyd of Columbus, MS, Earnest Boyd of Lanham, MD, Jerome Boyd and Randy Boyd, both of Ackerman, MS, sister Reather Bissie of Chicago, IL, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Williams, Herring and Hampton were in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Misty Glenn Gentry

July 30, 2010

Funeral services for Mrs. Misty Glenn Gentry, 34, were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 2, 2010 at Bethesda Baptist Church in Crawford, MS. Bro. Allen Dees officiated. Burial followed in Bethesda cemetery near Crawford, MS.

A native of Keokuk, Iowa, Mrs. Gentry was a artist. She was also a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church. Mrs. Gentry died July 30, 2010 at her residence in Crawford, MS.

Survivors include parents Larry and Lee Gentry of Crawford; grandfather, Merril Gentry of Crawford; two sisters, Ava Lauren Gentry of Columbia, and Kathy Dufrene of Lockport, LA; a brother, Philip McLain of Galliano, LA; an aunt, Mary Lois Burkett of Hattiesburg, MS, and an uncle Dan Harsh of Louisville, MS. Cockrell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Katie Jean Crossland

August 15, 2010

Services for Katie Jean Crossland will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 10 AM from McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Fulton officiating.

Burial will follow in New Black Jack cemetery.

Mrs. Crossland, 76, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Neshoba County General Hospital.

She was a native of the Boon Hill Community of Winston County and had been a resident of Neshoba County for the past 45 years.

She formerly worked as a sewing machine operator at Nemanco. Mrs. Crossland was Baptist by faith.

Survivors include daughter, Fay King of Philadelphia; sons, Eddie Crossland of Union, Jimmy Crossland and Billy Joe Gordon both of Philadelphia; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Stanley, Louise Dempsey, Pauline Dempsey, Geraldine Dempsey, Dorothy Stevenson, Charlene Triplett, and Janice McBeath all of Louisville; brothers, William Dempsey of Louisville and Harold Dempsey of Ackerman; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Wiliam Ralph Mayo

August 11, 2010

Funeral services for Mr. Wiliam Ralph Mayo, 73, were held at 12 pm Friday, August 13, 2010 at Harmony Baptist Church near McCool, MS. Burial followed at Harmony Baptist cemetery near McCool.

Mr. Mayo was a truck driver. He was also a member of Harmony Baptist church. Mr. Mayo died Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at his residence in McCool.

Survivors include sons John May, Mike Mayo, and Ricky Mayo, daughters Karen Bankston and Donna McDaniel, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made out to Harmony Baptist Church near McCool, MS. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gladys C. McIntyre

August 11, 2010

Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys C. McIntyre, 84, were held at Saturday August 14, 2010 at 10: a.m. at Enon Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Ackerman, MS. Rev. Jerry Lawson officiated. Burial followed in Weir cemetery in Weir, MS.

A resident of Lucedale, Mrs. McIntyre was a retired nurse's assistant. She was also a member of Enon Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. McIntyre died August 11, 2010 at her son's residence in Lucedale, MS.

Survivors include sons, Gene McIntyre and Paul McIntyre. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Enon Cumberland Presbyterian Church PO Box 294 Ackerman, MS 39735. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman was in charge of arrangements.

Elijah Tuck Watson

Funeral services for Mr. Elijah Tuck Watson, 26 days old, were held at 10:00am Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. Reverend Ricky McKay officiated. Burial followed in Weir cemetery in Weir, MS. Elijah Tuck Watson died August 10, 2010 in Jackson, MS.

Survivors include father James Taylor Watson, mother Susan Skylar "Sissy" Jenkins, maternal grandparents Howell and Pat Jenkins, and paternal grandparents Jim and Brenda Watson.

Memorials may be made out to the Trisomy 18 Foundation; Weir cemetery Fund, and/or The Ronald McDonald House. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Marson Edward Welborn

Funeral services for Mr. Marson Edward Welborn, 90, were held at 1 p.m. Thursday August 12 at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. Rev. John Foles officiated. Burial followed at Double Springs Baptist cemetery in Webster County.

A resident of Eupora, Mr. Welborn was a retired city worker. He was also a member of Maben Baptist Church.

Mr. Welborn died Monday August 9, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Eupora, MS.

Survivors include sons Charles Douglas of Starkville, Danny Douglas of Ackerman, Brent Welborn of Hattiesburg, Kent Welborn of Florida, daughters Carol Cobb of Ackerman, Christy Douglas of Starkville, sisters Wilma Welborn of New Hampshire, 1 grandchild and 2 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Double Springs Baptist Church in Webster County, MS.

Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Helen Raines Sennet

July 10, 2010

Mrs. Helen Raines Sennett, 93, died Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 13, at Yellow Creek cemetery, with Porter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Sennett was born icon June 4, 1917, in Bauxite, Arkansas.

She was a homemaker, and a member of First Baptist Church of Macon.

She is survived by two sons, Pete Sennett of Moore, OK, and Mike Sennett of Louisville, MS; 12 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn. or the Louisville Animal Shelter.

Mr. Dean Miller Fulcher

July 21, 2010

Dean Miller Fulcher, 82, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at her home

Visitation will be 9:00 AM, Friday July 23, 2010 with funeral services at 10:00 AM in Breeland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Canton cemetery.

A native of Winston County, Mrs. Fulcher was born icon November 16, 1927, to Archie P. and Myrtis Miller. She was a retired bookkeeper who worked for Eddie Johnson for a number of years. Mrs. Fulcher was a member of the Camden Chapter of the Eastern Star and a Shrinette. She was a member of the Farmhaven Baptist church.

Survivors include: daughter, Dr. Mary Tan of Canton; son, Ronnie Fulcher of Canton; sisters, Joy Richards and Lois Culburn; 6 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Mrs. Marie Wilson Wells

Marie Wilson Wells, 80, of Eupora, died September 25, 2010, at her residence in Eupora.

Services for Mrs. Wells were September 27, 2010, at Wood Springs Baptist Church with Bros. Lanny Collum, Larry Watson, and Dale Strickland officiating. Interment followed at Wood Springs cemetery in Choctaw County.

She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Dewberry, Regina Busby, both of Eupora, and Linda Stewart, of Walthall; a son, Benny Wells of Douglas, Wy.; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Wells were Justin Dewberry, Brandon Busby, Eric Busby, Stephen Pruitt, George Koerber, and Nelson Dean.

Arrangements were handled by Oliver Funeral Home in Eupora.
