WESTBROOK, C. FERMAN, 70, owner/operator of Westbrook Auto Service & Body Shop for 31 years, died there Monday, April 25, 2005,. Services were held Friday, April 29, 2005, at Gracewood Baptist Church in Southaven, where he was a member and deacon, with burial in Autumn Woods Memorial Park Cemetery in Olive Branch. Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel has charge. He was a Korean War Army veteran, former president of state and local Automotive Service Associations, former regional director of National Automotive Service Association, a member of Ford Motor Co. Arbitration Board and a volunteer for Memphis and DeSoto County Parks and Recreation. Mr. Westbrook, the husband of Wanda R. Westbrook for 44 years, also leaves two daughters, Kathy Westbrook of Memphis and Trina W. Slocum of Olive Branch; a son, Scott Westbrook of Olive Branch; three sisters, Myrtis Pearson of Tunica, Nora Johnson of Southaven and Wilma Brown of Nesbit; two brothers, Grady Westbrook of Hernando and James Westbrook of Olive Branch, and seven grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Gracewood Baptist Church or DeSoto Central Elementary Autism Fund.

Williams
WILLIAMS, SIDNEY, 82, retired bookkeeper, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto. Services were held Friday, April 29, 2005, at Hernando Funeral Home with burial in Gray's Creek Cemetery. He was a member of Gray's Creek Baptist Church. He leaves a daughter, Jennydell Wilson of Horn Lake; his mother, Mary Williams; a sister, Marilyn Scott, and a brother, Fate Williams, all of Hernando, and a son-in-law who helped care for him, Scott Wilson of Horn Lake.

Wise
WISE, MARY JUDITH, 39, homemaker, died Friday, April 29, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. Services were held Monday, May 2, 2005, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Southaven, where she attended, with burial in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven has charge. Mrs. Wise, the wife of Billy Wise, also leaves her parents, Johnnie and Win Rainey of Olive Branch; a sister, Lisa Maness of Norcross, Ga.; a half-sister, Kristin Andry of Los Angeles; a half-brother, Erik Andry of Omaha, Neb., and two stepsisters, Angela Sewell and Vicki Mitchell, both of Greenville. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Diabetes Association.

Phillips
PHILLIPS, RAY HENRY, 89, retired from Frisco Railroad, died Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis. Services were held Saturday, April 30, 2005, at Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto, Ark., with burial in Potter Memorial Cemetery there. He was a World War II veteran and a Baptist. Mr. Phillips, the widower of Ann Phillips, leaves three daughters, Eunice Olaughlin and Betty Oakes, both of Woodland, Calif., and Mary Nell Denham of Horn Lake; a son, Donnie Phillips of Thayer, Mo.; three sisters, Dorothy Barnett of Boaz, Ala., Juanita Wenner of Lutz, Fla., and Ruth Garrison of Howell, Mich., 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Algee
ALGEE, GLADYS V., 86, retired from Gem Inc. in Byhalia, died Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at her home. Services were held Saturday, March 26, 2005, at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch with burial in Byhalia Cemetery. Mrs. Algee, the widow of Wilbur H. Algee, leaves a daughter, Trudy Algee of Horn Lake; a son, Andy Algee of Hernando; a brother, James Edward Vaughn of Olive Branch, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Blanton
BLANTON, WILLIAM, 32, assembly technician for AZD, died Saturday, March 26, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. Graveside services were held Monday, March 28, 2005, at Love Cemetery. Hernando Funeral Home has charge. He leaves his mother, Jean Blanton of Hernando, and a friend who helped care for him, Joey Jones of Olive Branch. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.

Bonds
BONDS, J.T. MILTON, 77, formerly of Memphis, retired plumbing contractor for Village Plumbing Co., died Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at Memphis Jewish Home. Services were held Thursday, March 24, 2005, at Brantley Funeral Home with burial at 1:30 p.m. in Booneville (Miss.) Cemetery. Mr. Bonds, the widower of Juanita Bonds, leaves two daughters, Trisha Bermudez of Bartlett and Linda Williams of Charlotte, N.C.; two sons, Steve Bonds of Cordova and Jerry Bonds of Collierville, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Longview Heights Baptist Church Building Fund.

Carey
CAREY, ALINE W., 84, retired chief operator for BellSouth, died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services were held Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis with entombment in Memorial Park Mausoleum. She was a member of Hernando Methodist Church, Mrs. Carey, the widow of John W. Carey, leaves a daughter, Margaret Dennen of Senatobia, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.

Clark
CLARK, FRANCES B., 78, formerly of Memphis, homemaker, died Thursday, March 24, 2005, at Landmark of DeSoto. Services were held Saturday, March 26, 2005, at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Horn Lake. Mrs. Clark, the widow of Arthur F. Clark, leaves a son, Robert Clark of Walls, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Cummings
CUMMINGS, C.C., 81, retired railroad worker, died Friday, March 25, 2005, in Collierville. Services were held Monday, March 28, 2005, at Brantley Funeral Home with burial in Byhalia Cemetery. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Teamsters Union and the Assembly of God. Mr. Cummings, the husband of Nadain Brown Cummings, also leaves two sisters, Vera Griffin of Texas and Lola Hooper of Cordova; a brother, Chick Cummings of Arkansas, six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Denney
DENNEY, LILLIE MAE, 88, homemaker, died Friday, March 25, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto. Services were held Sunday, March 27, 2005, at Clarkson Baptist Church with burial in Clarkson Cemetery. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Denney, the widow of Willie Walter Denney Jr., leaves two daughters, Kathryn Glidewell of Senatobia and Faye Parker of Hernando; six sons, James W. Denney of Cordova, Tenn., Gerry D. Denney of Jackson, Michael F. Denney of Memphis, and Jack Barnett, Red Barnett and Skip Barnett, all of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Bertha Mae Marlowe, Rosie Haddock and Louise Harville, all of Grenada, and Minnie Mae Minshew of Mobile, Ala.; a brother, Herman Denney of Grenada, 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Depriest
DEPRIEST, TRUDY H., 63, died Thursday, March 24, 2005, at her home. Services were held Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at Kirby Woods Baptist Church, where she was a member, with burial in Memorial Park. Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge. Mrs. DePriest, the wife of Billy DePriest for 43 years, also leaves two sons, W.E. DePriest of Inverness and Perry DePriest of Nashville; seven sisters, Donna Anderson, Pamela Mooney and Victoria Qualls, all of California, Jackye Wilder of Germany, Cecilia Kerst of Conway, Ark., and Anita Dennis and Jo James, both of Helena, Ark.; a brother, Jay Lyn Cheek of Helena, and five grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Kirby Woods Baptist Church Building Fund.

DIXON, ELIZABETH, 90, retired cafeteria manager for Memphis City Schools, died Saturday, March 26, 2005, at Landmark of DeSoto Nursing Home. Services were held Monday, March 28, 2005, at Oak Forest Church of God in Southaven, where she was a charter member and Sunday school teacher for 50 years, with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown. Forest Hill Funeral Home South has charge. Mrs. Dixon, the widow of Lee Mathis Dixon, leaves three sons, Gary Dixon and Billy Dixon, both of Olive Branch, and David Dixon of Arlington; two sisters, Ruth Caroll of Cleveland, Tenn., and Marie York of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Aaron Burney of Coffeeville, Miss., seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Oak Forest Church of God.

Dunlap
DUNLAP, KATHLEEN SISK, 50, homemaker, died Thursday, March 24, 2005, at her home. Services were held Saturday, March 26, 2005, at Hernando Funeral Home with burial in Baker's Chapel Cemetery. She was a Baptist. She leaves a son, J.C. Rooker, and her parents, Lacy and Helen Sisk, all of Byhalia; a sister, Lisa Tyre of Gallatin, Tenn., and four brothers, Barry Sisk and Michael Sisk, both of Byhalia, Eric Sisk of Independence and Ray Sisk of Little Rock. FORBIS, IVA BLANCHE, 84, of Cordele, Ga., formerly of Memphis, homemaker, died Saturday, March 19, 2005, at Cordele Health & Rehabilitation Center. Services were held Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at Forest Hill Funeral Home South with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery South. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. Mrs. Forbis, the widow of Fred Forbis, leaves a daughter, Barbara Derryberry of Cordele; two sons, Robert L. Forbis of Barton, Miss., and Ronald M. Forbis of McCalla, Ala., four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Heart Association.

Garner
GARNER, ARMON HENRY, 55, died of heart failure Thursday, March 24, 2005, at Baptist Desoto Hospital. Graveside services were held Saturday, March 26, 2005, at New Bethlehem Cemetery in Horn Lake. Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home had charge. He leaves his wife, Joyce Garner of Horn Lake, his two sisters, Penny Bailey of Walls and Pat Evans of Searcy, Ark.
