NATCHEZ - Services for Estella Stumps Polk, 92, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Wilderness Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Strickland officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Williams and Williams.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Ms. Polk was born
March 15, 1911, the daughter of Jacob Stumps and Lizzie Hayes.
She was formerly employed at Jefferson Davis Hospital and Trace haven Nursing Home. She also did private duty nursing. She was a member of Wilderness Baptist Church, Deaconess Board and the Star of Bethlehem Lodge #4.
Survivors include her granddaughter and caregiver, Venessa Greene of Natchez; 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Annette Williams
May 20, 1938 - Feb. 2, 2004
HOPE, AR - Services for Annette Williams, 65, of Hope, who died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at her home, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Ragan officiating.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Natchez City cemetery with the Rev. Julius Roberts officiating.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Williams was born
May 20, 1938, in Franklin County, the daughter of L.D. and Bruenette Lofton Mullins.
She was a cafeteria worker at Hope High School and a member of the Church of God.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Winford Carl Williams, III; one brother, William Mullins; and two sisters, Edith Faye and Dolores Mullins.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, W.C. "Jack" Williams of Hope, AR; one son, Chris Williams and Anne of Prescott, AR; two daughters, Kim Johnson and Donnie of Natchez and LaJada Miller and Thomas of Hope; one brother, Linus Mullins and Betty of Natchez; one sister, Trilla Mullins of Natchez; four grandchildren, John Carl Johnson, T.J. Johnson, Emily Diane Miller and Anna Nicole Miller.
India James Felton
July 3, 1919 - Jan. 28, 2004
STAMPLEY - Services for India James Felton, 84, of Fayette, who died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004, at her residence, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Salem Baptist Church in Stampley with the Rev. John Frye officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Fayette.
Visitation is from noon to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Ms. Felton was born
July 3, 1919, in Jeffeson County, the daughter of A.J. James and Sophia Williams.
She was a maid, a member and mother of Salem Baptist Church and the choir.
Ms. Felton was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Tommy Swanson; three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include five sons, Hardy (Mary) James of Raines, LA, Al (Jackie) Stampley of Fayette, Claude A. (Mary) James of Itta Bena, Jimmy (Carolyn) James of Fayette and Donald (Geri) James of Natchez; three daughter, Kitt (Doc) Johnson of Omaha, NE, Eva (Alphonso) Moore of Fayette and Mary James of Natchez; one brother, Benard James of Natchez; one sister, Geraldine Dumans of Kentwood, LA; her extended family, Mamie L. Carr, Nellie Tenner and the Bo Stampley Family; 46 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Robert Tenner, Kendrick James, Donald James, Jimmy James, Claude James and Alphonso Moore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Leon Carter, Johnny Doss, Claude Carter, Jr. and Hardy James.
Melvin Woods

NATCHEZ - Services for Melvin Woods, 43, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at George F. West Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Brooks officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Hill cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Woods was born
Nov. 30, 1960, in Adams County, the son of Joseph and Juanita Woods.
He was educated in the Natchez Public Schools.
Survivors include three brothers, Henry "Doc" Woods of Natchez, Abraham Woods of Chicago, IL and Charles Woods of Missouri City, TX; one sister, Audrey Winful of Houston, TX; and a number of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Joseph William Tillage
CHICAGO, IL - Services for Joseph William Tillage, 74, of Chicago, who died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, in Chicago, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at A.R. Leak Funeral Home Chapel in Chicago.
Survivors include two sons, Kelvin and wife, Anna Laura Tillage and Galvin Darrnell Tillage and sister-in-law, Ethel L. Robinson.

Anna Martha McCormick

UNION CHURCH -- Graveside services for Anna Martha McCormick, 86, of Union Church, who died Friday, Jan. 30, 2004 at her home in Church Hill, were Saturday, Jan. 31 at 4 p.m. at Union Church cemetery with Dr. Joseph Martin officiating.
Burial was at the cemetery, under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Ms. McCormick was born
Dec. 15, 1917, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Archie S. and Lizzie King McCormick.
She was a retired registered nurse and a member of Union Church Presbyterian Church.
Ms. McCormick was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Guedon; four brothers, Duncan Franklin McCormick, Archie Sidney McCormick, Samuel Charles McCormick and William P. McCormick; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Duncan E. Guedon, Wayne McCormick, Wayne Bandy, Pat Womack, Ed McCormick and Mike McCormick and honorary pallbearer, Bill Saxon.
Memorials may be made to Church Hill Preservation Trust, Union Church Presbyterian Church or a charity of choice.

WOODVILLE - Services for Alex Bynum, 83, of Woodville, who died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004, in Centreville, will be at noon Saturday at St. Mark Baptist Church in Woodville with the Rev. Roosevelt Palmer officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Rest No. 2 under the directions of Williams and Williams.
Mr. Bynum was born
June 27, 1920, in Mississippi, the son of Alex Bynum, Sr. and Elsie Hollins.
He was a retired construction worker for the Corp of Engineers of Vicksburg District. He was a member of St. Mark Baptist Church, Local #692 of Baton Rouge, LA, Labor Local #1177 of Baton Rouge, V.F.W. and the American Legion, both of Woodville.
Survivors include five daughters, Odell B. Murphy of New Orleans, Bessie B. Stewart of Woodville, Elease B. Sullivan, Barbara A. Bynum and Cynthia Bynum, all of Woodville; one son, Leo Bynum of Woodville; two sisters, Bessie Mae B. Grover of Woodville and Laura Ford of California; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

BUDE - Services for Beatrice Montgomery, 89, of Bude, who died Monday, Jan. 26, 2004, at Natchez Community Hospital, was held at 1 p.m. Jan. 28 at Pentecostal Lighthouse.
Burial was in Midway cemetery in Meadville under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Montgomery was born
Nov. 16, 1914, in Franklin County, the daughter of Ernest Murray and Arie Clark Murray.
She was a homemaker and a member of Pentecostal Lighthouse.

Mrs. Nelson was born
Feb. 5, 1922, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Genora and Henderson Davis.
She was employed with ITT in Fayette and was a member of Daughter Temple Baptist Church.
Survivors include nine children, John Nelson of Chicago, IL, Tommy Nelson of Oak Park, IL, Canary Grantham of Oak Park, Henderson Nelson of South Harlem, IL, Van Nelson of Bellwood, IL, Dorothy Burnside f Rockford, IL, Shirley Pickens of St. Paul, MN, Herman Nelson of Natchez and Patricia Nelson of Rockford; two brothers, Edgar Dunmore and Willie Lee Dunmore, both of Los Angeles, CA; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mary Frederick; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Mary Frances "Peggy" Cole Budwah
PORT NECHES, TX - Services for Mary Frances "Peggy" Cole Budwah, 77, of Nederland, TX, who died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004, at her residence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Levingston Funeral Home Chapel in Port Neches with the Rev. Dale Chance officiating.
Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Midway cemetery in Meadville.

She was a native of Roxie and a resident of Nederland, TX for 50 years. Mrs. Budwah was a retired Nederland ISD School Nurses' Clerk with 27 years of service and a member of First United Methodist Church in Nederland.
Mrs. Budwah was preceded in death by her parents, George R. and Mary Cole, Sr. and a brother, George Cole, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas V. "Tommy" Budwah of Nederland; two daughters, Tommye Jean Robbins and husband, Joe of Nederland and Mary Karen Laird of Bude; four grandchildren, Ramon Raines and wife, Darla of Port Neches, Michelle Taylor and husband, Trace of Nederland, Cody Robbins of Nederland and Colton Laird of Bude; four great-grandchildren, Callie, Mackenna and Easton Grice and Carson Raines.
Memorial contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice, Southeast Texas Humane Society or First United Methodist Church Nederland Children's Day Out Memorial Fund.
